The dwarf looks up the rest of you "were you lads be heading off to."

Line |

Line says to the group, "Perhaps some of the religious types will know what this means. I had heard that prayers to Hecate could be used to defeat guardians sacred to her."
Line says to the dwarf, "We will likely be going just a couple of days travel or so to the north. We have been hired to find a group of people making maps who are overdue to report back."

Andiel |

After having her fill and excusing herself Andiel retreated back to her room to sleep with her cat curled up beside her.
Early the next morning she visited the witch again and told her she was going north not knowing how long it would be before she returned. Now back around the caravan with her breastplate on and new possessions over her shoulder she nods to her new traveling companions.
Knowledge(Religion):Hecate?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 Boss first roll!
What's the coin toss for? Thought we knew the direction we needed to go...

Gimlet Bravo |

"Don't think I will get along with these Hecates. Look at all the great equipment in this haversack."
Gimlet looks through his bag with obvious surprise and happiness.
"This stuff for hitting ghosts. I wonder if we should buy more before we leave?"
Ghost salt blanch--cool!!

Line |

Line responds to the dwarf, "My voice is the way it has always been ever since the day I was created. I am not a being of flesh and blood as the rest of you are. I am a type of advanced golem with the ability to think for myself and act on my own. If that concerns you talk to some of the other caravan masters before we go. I have been guarding caravans into and out of Restiel's Well for the past several months. My last guard job was working for the caravan that came in from the south yesterday."

Andiel |

Andiel looks for a comfortable seat for her and Flow in one of the wagons and relaxes. Her spear propped in one corner and her bag under her seat. "It's really quite comfortable in here master dwarf. No need to yet. There will be plenty of that when we arrive at our destination." She gives him a small amused smile.

densestracer |

Dwarf smiles " I don't know about these other caravans but I take pride in mine lassie." The sun now hitting it's peak at noon " what's with this blasted heat. Havn't had a day like this in months."
stuff: 1d10 ⇒ 1
wow1stroll: 1d10 ⇒ 2
Traveling on the blazing heat you see the outline of carts and horses before you end up catching up. "Oi why are you so behind. A man with pokes his head appearing to be heavily scarred yells The cart broke down nothing I can do about that. Although there were a few things to catch my attention back at town. leaving a sly grin. The dwarf yells back the boss aint gon be happy about this he chuckles Relax you old dwarf have a little fun in your life Now done with the conversation he shakes his head. dahm yungun don't know how to tell work from play.

Line |

Line simply settles himself in the same Wagon everybody else is in. He keeps looking around, obviously paying attention to the surrounding area. He also pulls out one of his throwing darts and holds it ready. He says,"My vote for where to go initially would be spot number 10. It's right up against and slightly west of the bridge over the second river. There are also a bunch of other spots to check out in that general area."

Line |

The problem is we don't know where they were last seen. They've actually been out of contact for over a month IIRC. Line is simply picking an area where there's a large cluster of likely spots relatively close together. It also gets most of the benefit of traveling with the caravan that we're likely to get. If somebody has a better suggestion though, let's hear it.

Gimlet Bravo |

Gimlet starts to pack his pipe as he talks on his pony:
"I agree we should stop at the first spot. I would like to find these pirates and see if they have any treasure."
Funny, living in Ft Walton Beach Florida we just had our Pirate Festival, a recreation of the Pirate Billy Bowlegs attacking and looting the town.

Line |

If you want the spot closest to town that would probably be spot 22. It looks to be about 3.8 miles north of the bridge and about 19.4 miles east of the road. So we would travel with the caravan for about an hour and then spend at least one full day and likely part of a second hiking to get there. Also, the closer to town we start, the more likely we are to bump into the second group. While we would all have the same employer, it is unclear how "friendly" they would be. Regardless of all that, Line will go along with whatever the group wants to do.
Line eventually just shrugs his shoulders. He says, "Regardless of how we do it, we will likely have to end up checking most if not all spots anyway. So in the end it might not matter that much what order we try to go in."

Klor Kragsson |

Klor rode along in the caravan, enjoying the rest of his leg. Bessie tied to the wagon nearby where he sits. Need to keep an eye on ole Bessie after all.
Klor pulls out his notes that he took when he was looking over the map back at the tavern.
I say head to spot 22, unless his notes say otherwise
There was sumin. marked on da map in dat direction. Klor says indicating the east.
he points toward spot 22

Gimlet Bravo |

Gimlet nods at the spot on the map (22).
"We go here first (22), then we can go here (20), then here (19). Pirates with treasure may be at one of these spots on the water!!"
I agree==consider our search pattern 22 then 20 then 19

Andiel |

We aren't at 22. We are probably a few miles past the bridge on the side of the road.
"Why is it so important to go chasing pirates? We are meant to be finding the Elf's friends. There will be plenty of treasure when we bring them back, or when we find them. Probably both."
First paladin I've ever seen that was after treasure :P

Gimlet Bravo |

Holy avengers and flying mounts are expensive!!
"Pirates like to kidnap people and hold them for ransom, especially if they are important. I originally suggested we investigate the closest area where the mappers were lost. I was told these spots on the map are the closest we have to clues. So, we might as well help the locals out and find these pirates. They can't be up to any good."

Line |

Line gets out of the wagon and waves goodbye to the caravan master. He joins up with the other members of the party, readying his shield as he does so. Thus he has both a throwing dart and the shield ready. He says to the others, "Is there any particular marching order anybody wants to suggest? "

Gimlet Bravo |

Gimlet points to Klor:
"Inside, Klor and I can take point. That lets Unbeugsam see over me in the next row and Line see over Klor right behind us. We may want Andiel behind Klor to keep our healer protected in the middle. When I am riding, I may want to be near the back. I have more mobility and my pony tends to make the path 'unpleasant' at times for those that follow behind."

Unbeugsam |

Unbeugsam looks around and says:
"You know, I am a follower of desna. A problemsolver. A problem arises, I take care of it, problem solved. I am as you can see decently handy with axe and hammer and I am also quite good at finding the source of problems. Desna also granted me some minor magic to help me in my task. Line is a heavy infanterist, so he is good in fighting. About the others, so far I have no clue what you can do!"

Klor Kragsson |

Klor put his armor on before travelling, after departing the caravan. he straps some braces to his bad leg for support no longer needing his cane, though he still has a limp he moves much faster than before and no longer needs the cane.
gathering his combat gear Klor leads Bessie on keeping up with the group.
upon seeing the boat, I don't do water very well

Unbeugsam |

Testing the water with a toe, Unbeugsam shrugs his head."Dwarfen and water, ain´t no share love. And without armor, a desna, you test your followers." Undoing his armor and grabbing his axe his hands he walks to the water only in his breeches.

Line |

Line moves out in support of the dwarf. Line keeps all his armor on and his shield ready, though he swaps out the throwing dart for his gladius as his ready weapon. Line makes no attempt to swim, simply walking on the bottom regardless of how deep it gets.
