The hound avoids the attack of Ser Willem as it stands, but Yoshi is still able to strike it. Septimis's bomb strikes true damaging the hound seriously, but it still takes the strikes of Ser Willem and Yoshi to finally put down the beast.

The rest of the room is full of mundane items. There is nothing else of interest in the room. But the guard dog's howl may have been heard tough out the rest of the museum.

Luurg can be found in the previous room, sitting nervously in the corner, stuffing his face with apples "Sorry dare guys. Dat dog was real skery.. an I eat when I gets skerd. Lemme get mah spear n we can check da next place."

Luurg hops up, dumping a few apples cores onto the floor and embarrassingly heads back to retrieve his spear.

Moving to the other room. The key from the guards of this room unlock the door.

Several stalls stand against the east wall of this dank, stone room. A large grate in the floor collects a steady stream of water coming from one of the stalls. The rattle of chains echoes through the chamber and the stench of frightened, unwashed bodies fills the air.

While visitors to Blakros Museum use this room on the Material Plane as a public restroom, the Onyx Alliance uses the similarly shaped stalls as holding cells for the many slaves that cycle through its doors.

There are currently five slaves here, spread between the four stalls on the eastern wall. All are chained to the wall with masterwork manacles. Two of the slaves have been here for weeks and display the same rune on their foreheads.

One of the unmarked prisoners speaks. “We were just brought here tonight along with two well dressed women. They were taken elsewhere then some strange rippling of reality and things got dark. Those two.” pointing at the marked prisoners, “were already here. I have no idea how long they have been waiting.

John watches the entrance to the main room as the hound's area is searched. When his allies are done he asks if they should barricade the door here while they check the other room, if so he pushes a table up against the door, if not he just keeps a close eye on it when they check the next room. He continues this action as he hears the group speaking with the slaves, waiting to see how they handle them.

Willem unconsciously wrinkles his nose at the smell. He still couldn't get used to the smell of the unwashed masses. Still, these were slaves and they needed to be released. "It sounds like the two daughters are still ahead of us." He looks to the speaking slave. "We will release you, but we need to know who took those women and where. Do you recall anything about them?"

Luurg gives a look of sadness seeing the slaves locked up "Poor tings, you must be 'ungry. Here, eat some fruits, dey help you feel betters." He steps up to the bars and starts handing each of them an apple and another random fruit before finding his lockpicks. "Dem keys work on deez locks too? Or I can use my key..."

Once they have finished questioning them, he'll get to work unlocking the restraints. Take 10 for a 22 if that doesn't work I've spoiled a pile of checks below.

The smell of peasants and slaves, it has been a while since that stench has graced my nose. "By the Nine..." Imperia mutters under her breath as Luurg begins fiddling with the locks. "We can always come back for them, they clearly aren't going anywhere anytime soon," she points out.

Apparently resolute in his task, Imperia sighs and begins freeing slaves on the other side of Luurg. No point in keeping quite, we've already alerted them to our presence.

After having let the slaves out of their cages Septimus will examine one of the marked individuals. He takes hold of one of them by the chin and turns their heads left and right, examining them with a rather clinical detachment.

Imperia snaps Septimus an icy look after splitting a set of chains. "It takes a single swing for me to free a slave while you fiddle with your toys," she snaps. "They can cower here if they can't escape by themselves. Once our work is done, we can escort them out."

No one seems to be coming to examine the incident while you deal with the current slaves. The key you have does not work on the lock, but Septimus easily deals with them.

One of the unmarked slaves speask. "The two girls you mentoned were with us when we entered, but they are were taken a while a go. I do not know where. I am not sure how long it has been, when we got here the world just got darker then we say them." Pointing at the rune marked slaves. "We are not sure what is going on. But if the way is clear we can make our way out."

Septimus looks at the rune and given the brief description from the prisoner, he surmises that the rune changes actually changes the native plane of the subject that it marks to the shadow plane. This would be how the Oynx Alliance "takes" the slaves back with them.

You can determine that right now the museum currently exists in both planes. However the "exit" currently leads back to Absalom the material plane. When the current planar conjunction ends, entities in the museum will go back to their native plane. But those that make it out back to the prime material plane will stay there.

Moving down to the end of the hall and open the door.

Harsh, cold light floods this room from the ceiling, gleaming off the marble walls and shining across the polished granite floor. Myriad pedestals display stuffed creatures suffering from unspeakable deformities, and liquid-filled glass tanks hold the shrivelled bodies of even stranger anomalies. In the room’s center, a wide ebony pyramid rises ten feet off the ground; darkness seems to flow out from its top into the air like ink in clear water. Indistinct rune circles, candelabras, and idols cover what can only be the site of barbaric sanguinary rites, occupying the same space in the Shadow Plane.

The Blakros Museum’s current main exhibit is a collection of medical oddities and cursed freaks—a disturbing array of deformities that would turn a Lamashtan’s stomach—but they do not compare to the horror of Wightir House’s comparable space. The implements of unspeakable rituals lie scattered about, including bloody sacrificial knives, vats of unidentifiable liquids, rune-etched stone idols, and a massive summoning circle surrounding the central dais.

Standing before the dais is the thin gray form of Uthil Mak, overseer of Wightir House and executor of the Penumbral Accords. Kneeling before him, the Blakros daughters, Eleanir and Michellia, sway in a sort of trance as Uthil Mak prepares for the ritual branding by coating a thin knife in a strange black liquid.

He notices you as you enter. Also much like the other room. The current dim illumination and his shadow blending makes his current miss change 50%

Demoralize:
Demoralize: You can use this skill to cause an opponent to become shaken for a number of rounds. The DC of this check is equal to 10 + the target's Hit Dice + the target's Wisdom modifier. If you are successful, the target is *shaken for 1 round. This duration increases by 1 round for every 5 by which you beat the DC. You can only threaten an opponent in this way if they are within 30 feet and can clearly see and hear you. Using demoralize on the same creature only extends the duration; it does not create a stronger fear condition.
