Shortnose looks over his shoulder, at the other hiding behind him, a small smile, a sarcastic thought.
heh
”Hey, you there.” he says calling the others in the back. ”Needa a pair of good eyes here with me. Can block swords if I see them beforehand.” he says, but don’t really wait for an answer before moving into the room in front of him.
Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
A quick look, and if there’s no enemies, he calls the others.
”What are we searching here?” he says giving the others time to search the room.

GM Qwerty |

Shortnose calls out to his new-found companions and enters the room to their front. Pews of darkwood lie tipped over and covered in dust on either side of this ancient shrine. At the far end sits a large ceremonial anvil, but its surface is defaced and ruined. It seems this room was a Moradin shrine. Of particular note is a space atop the altar containing five small depressions the size and shape of something like a gem.

Anchard Wulfphear |

Having problems with moving my token
After looting the defeated orogs, Anchard follows up right behind the shielded newcomer lending his own tired but experienced eyes to scan the room from top to bottom, but be doesn't go so far as to stray into the room.

figured out problem with token. I corrected Anchard's position slightly out of the room as my post stated he didn't stray into the room.

Alistair spots the darkmantle, and decides to casts Grease on Shortnose to make him hard to grapple, the same sort of principle as pro wrestlers.

Shortnose. |

Shortnose is the master of self-awareness.
He control all of his fears, he faces all of his enemies.
He is the one that mastered his inner world and would never flee in front of danger.
Or at least this is what he pretended most of the time, but now, when darkness fell on them, he is the first one to move away from such ‘magik’.
”Ain’t staying here no more!” he says announcing his intentions but then someone cast a spell on him and he yells "Dammit! If I die I'll kill you!" he threatens no one in particular.
If I saw the monster before the darkness.
Mustering his courage, the man attacks blindly the creature that appeared near him.

Anchard withdraws back out into the open, and unconcealed courtyard, "Pull out, only dwarves and other demihumans can see in such darkness. We can wait out the cloud of blackness out here."

Alistair Maxwell |

Alistiar begins to belt an opera Sadly they can't see my lovely ballet in the darkness but they should be able to hear Romanevi's Aria de Cantatta all the way in there.
And the bard begins to sing the song of the Shield Maiden's valiant stand against demons.

Shortnose stumbles out of the darkness back towards the courtyard area assisted by the torch Cerian was lighting. Shortnose comes out covered in grease as well...Anchard moves back out next to a dancing Alistair. Cerian is still in the darkness with a torch that allows him to see just a few more feet in front of his position....
Everyone feels good about themselves due to Alistairs dancing... There is no movement heard coming from inside the building...

Shortnose. |

”Dinnae you have any magik to use there?” Shortnose asks the others, unwilling to step in the darkness again.
If it’s up to him, he’ll wait here until the enemy comes forward, out in the light.

Shortnose. |

Well, metagaming speaking, it's a min/level spell. Shortnose doesn't know that, but as a Player I would say to wait until the spell ends. But since the warrior knows nothing about magic, he'll do as told.

Cerian Screamingtrees |

He backed out of the darkness leaving the torch there burning with a scowl.
I have no idea what that is but perhaps we go around it there is a door back that way.
He began pointing to the open door behind them. He adjusted his backpack and redrew an arrow leading the way.
moving to the right oh eight spaces and up three is the doorway im referring too.

Alistair Maxwell |

Alistair stops dancing and follows Cerian Better than wandering into the darkness and getting strangled by a dakrmantle

Anchard Wulfphear |

Anchard waits to see what Boni is doing before he closes the doors leading into the cloud of darkness. "Are you planning on acting with your spell? You'll be rather alone in there."

Anchard Wulfphear |

"A man of many words, Bonifacius." Anchard says closing the doors. "We can come back to this later. Let's pick up where we left off here. Lets go through those doors by Cerian."

Anchard Wulfphear |

"Shortnose, if you don't mind the honors of going first."

GM Qwerty |

The group follows Cerian into the side door and see a hallway. This long hallway ends with a ruined dwarven statue. Smashed long ago, the statue is barely recognizable as a dwarven monk. His stone hammer sits on the ground next to the shattered remains of his head. Shortnose muscles his way to the front of the column as the group starts moving towards the east and see 2 door on the right side of the hallway. As they advance down the hallway they denote the smell of an animals bed down location either in this hallway or near it.

Cerian Screamingtrees |

There is probably a wolf or something of the like's den ahead.
He began quietly peering deeper into the room. He didnt necessarily want to disturb the creature in its den if he didnt have too but at the same time they were here for a reason.

Anchard Wulfphear |

appears we are off the map?
"Let's peek into this doored room here. I'm worried there may be more orogs about." Anchard motions to the other members.

Shortnose. |

Sorry for the delay. For some reason there was no notification of new posts.
The warrior isn’t happy with the others way of dealing with things. He had already said he would go first; the scrawny cleric didn’t need to keep the pretense of being the boss nor the bard should be happy with such behavior.
”Buncha’f cowards.” he snorts stepping inside, shield ready, fearless of the outcome.
--
”Dags?” he asks and wait until the nimble feet guy take his time with the door and peeping inside.

GM Qwerty |

Shortnose earns his keep by going in first and discovers a small room. Old cobweb-covered racks and armor stands dominate much of this small chamber. What must have once been a well-tended armory is now devoid of arms and armor.

I know how to use one obviously but prefer the bow, nevertheless collect them up perhaps they are worth something to a collector.
He moved forward carefully pressing around the outline of the secret door looking on how to open it.
Relax friend Shortnose, they are good folk just a little put out by the circumstances.
He added frowning

Anchard Wulfphear |

"Cowards?" Anchard's brow raises, though his eyes are glassy and uninterested in the slight. "You forget who stood against the Orogs with you granting reprieve from their hunting you down and likely murdering you out in the fringes of the wilderness."
Anchard sighs walking into the room so he can get a better view of the secret room and its contents, "Are you a man of many friends, Shortnose?"

Alistair Maxwell |

Alistair smirks, he loves it when Anchard gets ruffled like this. He quickly detects magic down the secret passageway
I think old shortnose here would do well to remember this is a business - and he is the junior partner at best.

GM Qwerty |

Anchard moves past Cerian to investigate the cells.
The first cell shows a dwarf skeleton in a praying position holding a well dusted and old warhammer...
the second cell has a dwarven skeleton on the cot wearing an old leather apron who immediately gets up and begins to advance towards Anchard... the skeleton makes noise as it moves which seems to alert other movement in the third and fourth cells...the cell doors are old and severely rusted and will offer no impediment to stop the advancing skeletons...
