"It's best we leave." Razdin quickly quips. "You guys are crazy if you think we should take on his henchmen." He continues trying to look as if it was his idea.
"Great talk dude but we gotta get going. Appreciate the monstrous waste of time." He says rolling his eyes.
| GM Qwerty |
"Fine... take your leave... you begin to bore me anyways..." the giant replies to Razdin while he turns away to grab another delicacy.
You move out of the labyrinth, back towards the crater. Then you move through a frozen city and enter icy tunnels. Directions are provided by junior pathfinders moping up events in those areas allowing you to pass on. Finally you exit the icy tunnels and enter rocky tunnels. The rocks glow green and yellow, with occasional patches of red. You are glad you all benefit from the planetary adaptation spell provided to you at the spire of Nex.
Vaulted arcs of stone create a bizarre network of geometric recesses, like a petrified beehive but in orders of magnitude larger. In one cell stands an altar smeared with blood and ochre. A humanoid with chiseled, angular features that make him look almost like a statue brought to life stands on top of the raised dais on which the altar stands. He quickly moves down and stands ready for what comes in a defensive pose.

Jogun again raises his musket and takes careful aim. With no resupply in sight Jogun doesn't want to waste any ammo. The halfling takes his time lining up the shot.

★ - OVERSEER ANNOUNCEMENT - ★
“The crater has been claimed, but our divinations indicate that Ayrzul is not happy about this! We’re experiencing unexpected surges in gravity everywhere, especially near the crater and vault!” Sorrina Westyr declares, madly strapping herself down as everything as everything rattles and shakes around her. “Hold on!”
Meanwhile behind her, Drendle Dreng is holding up a bottle, as he weaves back and forth in the convulsing landscape. “I feel the earth move under my feet, I feel the sky tumbling down... WOOOOOO HOOOOO!”
___
AREA B; The Crater, is claimed and safe for travel! GMs, there is an Earth Event happening now!
Kaya Yoshida
|
Unsure of what's going to happen next and most definitely unhappy with both the timing of the announcement - honestly - and the potential fight with the shaking and the chaos.... Well. Kaya doesn't actually know what to do. She's wary of the altar because it's covered in gore, but has no other way of actually bracing herself. She glances around and sighs, disheartened by the frankly disgusting situation.
She settles in a stance taught to all of the kids early on back when you learn you don't ever know when it'll be time to run - she bent her knees and lowered her center of gravity.
Of course, she also eyed the stone for a good spot to snag if she really did lose her footing.
These announcements! Could they possibly be timed any more poorly? she mentally grumbled. Still, at least it means the lead groups are making good progress.
| GM Qwerty |
apparently there are two higher level teams that are whizzing through and leaving a wake of destruction... i believe. You all are middle of the pack and then there is one table that fell silent. Dont worry about them- focus on you. I will try to give you exposure to different areas for some different fights/encounters until everyone is summoned to the last big fight. You will never see/experience all of this special.
The Oread moves closer to the group in a threatening manner and once he gets within range Jogun sends a bullet at him tearing a chunk of his rockiness off the main body... but the man continues on to get close to Razdin...double move once next to Razdin two earthen tendrils spring out from the ground and one attempts to smack Razdin...
Tendril ATK: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13...DMG: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
The man appears to have a small mound of earth following him.
the small mound is an earth wysp, a sphere of elemental matter emits a strange hum that resonates with elemental power.
| GM Qwerty |
the earth event, apologies, had to look it up
Right after the tendrils miss with their attack on Razdin the earth starts to shake violently, cracks appear in the cavern walls and you are all tossed 10 feet into the air! What goes up must come down again and you fall down, spraining ankles and other limbs. The good news is that your enemy is not spared this ordeal and when he hits the ground after the fall his body crumbles sustaining too much damage after the gunshot and fall...
When you are about to move your limbs they feel very heavy, gravity seems to suddenly have increased...

Kaya cries out at the way the earth all but throws them into the air before catching them - roughly. It takes her a moment to resort her surroundings seeing as that particular ride hadn't been kind in the least. At least their foe had been taken out, too?
"Ow, ow, ow," she almost chanted. Her body felt heavy, but that wasn't unusual. It wasn't until she started listing in favor of reintroducing herself to the ground that she realized something was off.
"Woah, is anyone else feeling really... heavy? And what happened to the weird mound that was following that guy around? Is it still... moving?"
Kaya Yoshida
|
Kaya points at the mound - "Stop that thing!" she yells. She doesn't know what'll happen when it meets up with its friend, but like hell does she want to let it!
Not sure if we're still in combat order or not? o:
Razdin Festerfall

If the guy in front of me is on the ground do I get sneak attack if it's probe, if it's immune you can lie to me and still say yes lol
| GM Qwerty |
Fentar steps back and channels for his companions. The others try to target the earthen mound but it darts away from their attacks... it makes it way to the fallen oread and in a spark of energy, it poofs out of existence with the energy going to the oread... the oread begins to reform quickly with that spark and as it stands up those around it hammer him with attacks of opportunities until it falls motionless again.
pushing on as you all would kill the reformed oread rather quickly. essentially the earth mound was an earth wysp that buffed elemental beings, it will sacrifice itself to give life to the elemental it is with, but the amount of life is dependent on the elemental hit dice so at lvl 1 the amount would not be enough to survive the dangers of the oread standing up
Looking around the area you uncover a bag with a small cache of supplies including four potions of endure elements, two potions of cure light wounds, and a potion of remove disease. you all would eventually get those spellcraft checks
Pressing on after redistributing the gear the group comes to a large chamber underground. The ceiling of this deep chamber is barely visible in the distance. Stairways designed for giants connect multiple levels, and bright illumination wipes away the shadows, unlike most other areas on the asteroid. A central platform inscribed with arcane runes hangs carefully balanced in the center of this network of enormous pathways paths. The floor of the platform appears to be a never-ending cascade of earth, forever falling into a black void.
Razdin Festerfall
|
With no knowledge of the arcane Razzy simply walks up to the platform to examine it the only we he knows how. He begins touching the runes to see if they react. Giving time to focus on everything in the room for a moment.

Jogun Fairweather

Jogun takes one look at the altar and goes back to working on his rifle. While polishing Jogun asks, "Does any of that mean anything to anyone or is it just another altar?"
Kaya Yoshida
|
Kaya passes this new cache of potions around to whoever wants it - keeping on potion of endure elements in reserve for herself. You could never be too careful, after all. After the distribution, they continued onwards... More or less, into the darkness.
When they came across the altar, Kaya stayed decidedly away from it. Considering what had happened the last time she'd gotten close to one... Ugh, she just didn't want to deal with it. They were lucky they had someone so capable of healing them, which...
"Thanks for healing us back there, by the way," she addressed Fentar. "I was a bit preoccupied so I forgot to say as much sooner."

The image of Sorrina Westyr appears as she helps an enormous water elemental dispatch a band of gargoyles. “We do not stand alone in our efforts, my friends. Your eyes adjust to the cavern setting. You hear some movement to your left and behind a rocky outcropping you see two humanoid figures stumbling their way towards you, one looking like a rocky humanoid the other looking undeadish...
The one wearing teal rags seems to be a regular zombie... but the one wearing red rags is not a regular zombie although it looks like one one...hard to tell from your current angle
As the image of Sorrina Westyr starts to disappear a wave of water detaches itself from the enormous water elemental. The wave washes over you and sloshes away through the corridor, to form some puddles here and there. Moments later the water gathers and moves up to form a small water elemental. It looks at you as if it waits for a command.

Wait, wait, are we being swamped near the eternally falling dirt, in that large underground chamber? Or have we entered one of those passageways it mentions?
Kaya moves forward, rapier in hand, to stab at the creature - unwilling to get caught off guard again, she's been holding it at the ready ever since the earth itself turned on them. All the same, she's flustered and it doesn't seem as though her attack so much as touches the creature... Whatever it is.

Huck sees Joguns attack and changes his target to the regular zombie approaching feeling it would be more prudent to attack that foe than the one surrounded by his companions. took some liberty there since your shot, while it would hit, would not do any lasting damage to the close one, but would to the second foe
