Pandin moves forward a brown blur, spear lancing out and stabbing into the cat's side. Blood flies and with a pained roar the cat turns and attempts to tear into Pandin, teeth and claws raking out but missing. The second cat, seeing it's mate being surrounded, springs away from the other stranger and tries bite into Lain's thigh, teeth clamping down on nothing but air. The Aiel seem to flit away, always outside their reach.
Graul, focused and determined, uses Pandin's feint to put his own spear into the great cat. Lain, distracted by the oncoming cat from his flank, missed his target, his spear stabbing wide.
Jasmine and Jed, hearing the sounds of combat clearly coming through the trees, begins hustling through the woods, hoping to come to their companion's aid in time.
MCats Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
MCat Prone guy Bite/Claw/Claw on Pandin: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Bite/Claw/Claw damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Second MCat Bite on Lain: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Bite damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
For all combats, anything in the description is flavor only (i.e. Lain being attacked "on his flank" is not actually Flanked), mechanics based description will be in the OOC section.
For smaller stuff like this I don't plan on using maps but when it's more important, they will be provided accordingly.
Otherwise everyone please feel free to post your Round 2 (and 3 if you'd like) actions and we'll continue from there.
Pandin Stoneherd
Pandin leaps back into the fray with his spear ready to strike.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
If hit:
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Pandin's spear strikes true into the shoulder of the large cat. The cat roars out in pain and swipes back at the ever elusive Aielman.
Wow another natty 1 on damage...
Jonasty1031
The wounded cat will Bite at Pandin and claw twice at Graul. The second cat will claw/claw/bite at Lain.
Wounded cat bite at pandin, claw/claw at Graul:
Bite/Claw/Claw Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (9) + 6 = 15, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Bite/Claw/Claw Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Second cat full attack at Lain:
Bite/Claw/Claw Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Bite/Claw/Claw Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Round 2 cat results: Graul is clawed twice for 9 total damage.
Pandin is the only PC who goes before the cats, so this is their Round 2 action. Once everyone else posts a Round 2 action, I will update with a "Round 2 descriptive update" and move on to the next round from there.

You mentioned in the OOC board that it may be beneficial for one of us to change characters. I would be willing to do that and go a Boaderlander Woodsman. That way we could not cause too much trouble...=)
For now I'm fine with the 3 Aiel in the group. We'll see how things go for a bit and decide later. Cause 1 Aiel is just as eye catching as 3 from a strictly RP perspective.
There is actually a perfect time for "party adjustments" later in this part of the adventure and I might pause things to let us all discuss party dynamics and the possibility of tweaking things a little bit. Character ideas (or party make-ups) are good in a vacuum but seen in the field so to speak, they can be less appealing or show their limitations. So there will be a clear area where it wouldn't be too jarring to have people change things up and have new people suddenly appear. At that point we'll see how people are liking things and if there is any room to change. Cause I'm really enjoying running this game and if it helps to have an Aiel wander off and a Borderlander show up to keep things going, then so be it.
Now to caveat what I said above, I don't want everyone suddenly brimming with new stuff simply cause they can but it's something we'll discuss.
Jonasty1031
Jed continues to press forward, hearing the sounds of battle ahead.
He'll double move two more rounds until he is within range to be of some use.
Round 2 double move, check. Assume he is within charging distance on Round 3, if you plan on charging. Either that or a double move on Round 3 puts you into melee if you don't want to charge.
Jonasty1031
Pandin stabbed out again, taking the cat in the ribs. It roared in pain but it's eyes had trouble focusing, the loss of blood starting to show it's effects. Even so, it wasn't enough to stop it from raking it's claws across Graul's chest. Clutching his chest, it was all Graul could do not to drop his spear, now slick with blood. Lain dodged the second cat's attacks but turned his ankle doing so, nearly laying himself out before catching his balance, tryning to keep his buckler between him and it.
Jasmine, Jed and Easop burst through the last line of the trees, seeing before them a scene of violence, wounded animals and Aiel circling alike. Two other men were slowly picking themselves up, attempting to find an opportunity to help but clearly a little uneasy at seeing three veiled Aiel coming to their aid.
Alright time to move on. Please post your Round 3 actions. I will post the cats actions as soon as I have posts from Jed and Pandin.
Jasmine Raleen
Jasmine will attempt to draw deeper on the source than normal overchannel and pick one of the cats up into the air with one power arms of air weave at level 3 using a level 2 slot.
Overchannel attempt1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26 yay! arms of air has no saving throw and is duration concentration, I can lift up to 200lbs.
Jed al'Raes
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 = 13 (+2 charge)
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Apparently the dice roller hates me today.
Jed bursts through the trees and takes stock of the scene before him, looking around to make sure there are no hidden enemies. Cats? I thought we'd be fighting bandits...
Jed rushes directly to the cat that is somehow being held in the air. Light! How is that happening? Is Jasmine doing that? He charges the cat and takes a rather weak strike with his longsword.

Jasmine could you just let me know which cat is held. There is the injured one (between Pandin and Graul) and the uninjured one attacking Lain. Also, just to make sure I understand, you'd actually be using a level 1 slot, correct? You don't actually have Level 2 weave slots at this level I believe. You're Overchanneling a weave 2 levels higher (3 using a 1) which is DC 25 which you made, as I understand it.

oops sorry yeah thats a level 1 weave at level 3 level. and it was the uninjured cat that i lifted.
Lain of the Taardad Aiel
Sorry. I was away without Internet access.
Lain dodges nimbly away from the large Cat, his face screwing up with concentration. With a laugh he shouts to the others. "This is a fine little dance we have going. Anyone sing us a song?"
Growling maliciously, Lain dodges in, towards the mountain cat, positioning himself across from the Andoran, and stabs with his spear.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 251d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
As the spear slams home, Lain grins darkly above his veil. "Jed al'Raes, I thought you were going to run with us. I am glad you did not. Your dancing is perfectly timed. Thank you!"
Jonasty1031
The wounded cat will strike feebly at Pandin and Graul, biting at Graul and claw/claw at Pandin. The second, healthy cat will claw/claw at Jed and bite at Lain.
Cats Round 3:
Wounded cat on Pandin/Graul
Bite/claw/claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Bite/claw/claw Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Second cat on Jed/Lain
Bite/claw/claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Bite/claw/claw Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Summation, Graul is bit for 9 points of damage, everything else misses. Because the cats go before Jasmine, the second one wouldn't be held during it's attack routine.
Jonasty1031
Jed raced in, sword at the ready and plunged it into the cat's flanks. Pandin, trying to avoid the razor sharp claws missed his swing and his spear met only dirt. The two cats, fighting for their lives, lashed out visciously against the four men yet only one of them was able to connect, it's teeth sinking deeply into Graul's leg.
Bursting through the trees, the power rushing through her, Jasmine caught one of the cats in flows of Air and to the astonishment of the others, the cat started to levitate into the air. Lain, not missing an opportunity, stabbed his spear into the floating cat's side, blood dripping onto the ground below.
Eyes focused, Graul bit back his yell at the pain in his leg and stabbed his spear down into the cat's neck severing it's spine. It slumped lifeless to his feet, the light fading from it's eyes.
Easop, standing on the edge of the trees, was scribbling furiously into a large book that was dwarfed by his huge hands.
Graul dropped the first cat. The second one is wounded and floating. Currently Lain and Jed are flanking it. That melee is a move action away from Pandin and Graul.
Please post your Round 4 actions when ready.
Jed al'Raes
Round 4
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
If the remaining cat is not dead by the time Jed acts, he'll do the following.
With the large cat being suspended in the air as well as distracted by Lain, Jed finds himself in a strong position to strike. He times his shot perfectly, piercing the animal's flesh and stabbing it in a vital area.
Easop
Finally pulling his nose out of his journal, Easop realizes his new companions might really be in danger. then he sees the blood flowing, and finds the unusual feeling that must be anger enter his body.
"Hey those are my friends". The Ogier yells in his loud rumbling voice. He drops his Journal to the ground, and moves forward his Walking Staff at ready".
Lain of the Taardad Aiel
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 261d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Grimly Lain lashes out, plunging his spear deep in to the Mountain Cats flank, before tearing it free in a huge spray of blood, drenching himself in the foul sticky liquid.
"I fear I will need the sweat tents after this!"
Jonasty1031
The cat will flail in the air, striking out at the three men attacking it. Jed/Pandin/Lain, Bite/claw/claw respectively.
Bite/claw/claw Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6, 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Bite/claw/claw Attack: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Claws miss, Jed is bitten for 8
After attacking, Lain will drop the cat with his attack. That will still leave Graul, Jasmine and Easop with actions during Round 4. After Round 4 we will drop off initiative although depending on what they post(specifically Graul) we might stay on it as needed.
Jonasty1031
Pandin sensing the end is near for the cat strikes out again.
1d20+8
If hit:
1d6+4
The cat is already dead at this point, you act first in the round so Lain finished it off at the end of Round 4. Combat is essentially over but I just want to make sure everyone took an action that wanted one. I'll probably drop initiative at this point and we'll go from here.
Jonasty1031
Lain's spear slices through the cat's throat and it hangs limply in the air. With the fighting at an end, Jasmine stops her weaving, lowering the cat gently back to the ground.
The two men who were attacked slowly sheathe their weapons, eyes trained on the veiled Aiel in front of them. Unlike the fear in the villagers' eyes, there is only wary caution from these two. After a moment their hands leave their weapons and they turn to Jasmine. Both men are dressed in strange armor and their long hair is tied into a single top-knot on top of their heads.
Both men bow their heads deeply. Thanks to the light that you arrived when you did Aes Sedai. We were in a right hard place we were. Name's Vanir and this is Hurin. Were it not for you and your companions, we'd have been dead.
Pandin Stoneherd
Pandin slowly lowers his spear and begins to lower his veil. Pandin will circle around the area looking for tracks of the bandits and keeping an eye out for trouble.
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Then when he gets back to the rest of the group he looks at Lain,"Sweat tents sound like an excellent idea Brother. Perhaps our Wetlander friends would join?"
Lain of the Taardad Aiel
Perception-1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Lain lowers his veil slowly, staring between the two men with a weighing look. He crouches, pulling his knife from his belt, before beginning to skin the large cat at his feet.
Survival-1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
After a couple of minutes work, Lain stands up, his prize draped over one arm. He looks between the two men again and frowns. There was something... Strange about them. He could not place it. Shaking his head softly, he turned to look at the rest of his group.
THE Hurin?! Hahaha! I love it!
Jonasty1031
Just to be clear, anyone who wants to post or interact with NPC's may do so. The last post was not directed solely at Jasmine for a response. Like in the books, Aes Sedai or those mistaken for them will probably be generally addressed first out of respect (or fear) but otherwise you guys are free to interact with people after that. If I intend for a conversation or interaction to be PC-specific, I will usually try to indicate it in the post.
Jed al'Raes
Jed turns to Pandin and Graul, eager for an opportunity to learn more of Aiel culture. "Sweat tents? You'll have to tell me about them later. We don't have sweat tents here..."
Jed grimaces as he tries to ignore the pain in his left shoulder where one of the mountain cats bit him before he turns to the two odd men. Light, that hurts. I can't believe I let it bite me! I hope it wasn't rabid...
"Well met Vanir and Hurin." Jed extends his arm for a friendly shake. "I am glad to have been of some help. Are you hurt?"
Jonasty1031
The men both look at each other rather sheepishly, Vanir shaking his head. Nothing injured but our pride sir. We stopped at the pond to get ourselves some water and those damned cats jumped us. Serves us right, letting our guard down that much that they could. Thankfully it wasn't more than a moment before you folks arived. Our thanks again.
Easop
Almost to the battle scene, his Quarterstaff raised high, Easop quickly lets his rage fade, when he sees the situation well in hand. He then remembers he dropped his journal roughly on the ground, and rushes to retrieve it straightening out the pages as he rejoins the group.
"Hello there". "I am called Easop".
Jasmine Raleen
Jasmine curtsies to the to Shienarans. You honor me, but I am not yet Aes Sedai. I am happy nonetheless to have been able to aid you both. Jasmine looks around to see to any wounded. She will go to whomever seems worst off.
Jasmine Raleen
Jed take off your shirt please. She colors a little bit as she says it before hastily adding, So I can see your wound more clearly! Moving her hands over the wound she takes your head between her hands and you feel as if you have been doused with ice water before a burning sensation goes through the affected area, the wounds knitting closed.
Healing weave level 1 but at level 2 power because of affinities.2d8 + 2 ⇒ (5, 7) + 2 = 14
All the damage that you have taken Jed is converted to subdual which will heal at 1 hp per hour per level, so it will be all healed in 4 hours.
Also Jonasty, I forgot that the weave that I did before would have only been overchanneling one level higher because I had all the affinities for it which gave me a boost of 1 to my weave level. Any time you have all the affinities it adds 1 to your weave level. I had totally forgot lol.
Jed al'Raes
Jed also colors at Jasmine's blunt statement before she clarified her reasons. He reluctantly removes his shirt, nervous about what Jasmine intends to do but unwilling to offend her, and cringes at the wound he received. It was worse than he thought! Light, no wonder it hurts so much!
As Jasmine takes his head in her hands, the nervousness bubbles up inside of him. He'd never been touched with magic before, though he had seen it done once in Caemlyn. It was miraculous how Healing managed to work without leaving much evidence of a wound at all, as long as it is tended to right away. While Jed is distracted by his musings a sudden shock overcomes him, as if he has been doused with ice water. Then his shoulder begins to burn, followed by an already noticeable difference in the amount of pain he feels.
"Thank you, Jasmine. Feels better already!" Light, I sound like a bloody fool...
