Robyyn
|
Robyyn also examines the diorama, curious to see what Absalom looked like, and what time it might represent based on what the city looked like.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
He then steps back, and voices his agreement with Ravoon. "We should continue. I was hoping that Janira would have joined us by now; hopefully the minotaur isn't causing her too much trouble! We should continue our exploration so we can back outside and help her, if she needs it."
Ayrii
|
The bat flits out of Robyyn's tangles again, striking forward to explore the passage ahead.
Ayrii will explore the passage until he discovers the source of the noise. He receives a sense of danger through his empathic link, so he proceeds cautiously, ready to return at any evidence of a threat.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

What more would like to be known about the diorama?
A miniature city carved from this same stone occupies nearly the entire surface. Tiny trinkets such as ancient coins, polished semiprecious stones, and ornately braided loops of string are scattered throughout the diorama, and pale cave frogs clamber atop it. The smooth cavern floor is covered in gravel and pebbles along the edge of the pool, and several foot-long centipedes prowl among the gravel in their search for prey.
Schaka Inkedama
|
Well, I suppose clearing off these insects really quickly wouldn't hurt... Schaka mumbles as he does so, throwing the insects farther back into the cavern, beyond the pool of water. When he looks to have removed them all, he quickly follows his companions down the western tunnel and motioning for Saheilu to follow.

Steinfaust
|
Moving forward Steinfaust calls the aspect of the sacred bull +2Strength and swings his weapon in a brutal arc.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 141d10 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15 He than calls his pet to attack

The two Northern zombies charge forward to attack Miklos.

1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 = 20
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
One missing and the other hitting Miklos with a vicious blow as Miklos's blade tears into the flesh of the southern most zombie, though it isn't enough to stop it's short step and strike.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
As Steinfaust rushes forward, he drops one zombie, allowing his pet to the second, which also causes it a bone crunching blow.
Everyone but Stein is up!
Miklos Therinor
|
Miklos grimaces in pain as the zombie tears into his side. He lashes out at the creature that hit him, then steps to his right and assumes a defensive stance.

Robyyn
|
Robyyn moves past his colleagues in the cramped passageway, just entering the room. He whips his arms in a swinging motion around his head, and the breezes that seem to constantly swirl around him pick up briefly before they drop off entirely as he motions his arms towards one of the zombies, hurling a strong gust of air at the undead creature.
Activating the Breeze-Kissed ability to perform a Trip maneuver vs. the zombie with no skin.
Trip: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (13) - 2 = 11
Matéo Cole
|
Matéo moves up, and stops briefly behind the wall before him.
Hey, outta my way guys
He contiues on, trying to avoid the reach of the enemy. He than takes a mighty swing with his earthbreaker.
earthbreaker: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
damage?: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 5) + 6 = 14

Mateo's blow does nothing but send him whirling about as an arrow whips past him and does barely any damage to the zombie who is whipped by wind but fails to react to it.
Then Miklos obliterates the zombie with a deft blade that removes the creature's head from it's torso, leaving but one zombie to deal with.
Which is followed by a swing from the remaining zombie against Stein's pet.
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Though the zombie's assault finds no purchase.
Party up!
Robyyn
|
Robyyn whispers a prayer to the winds, then touches Mateo, granting him guidance. (+1 competence bonus on single attack roll, saving throw, or skill check in the next minute).
He then moves towards the southern wall.
| GM Hills |
Miklos continues his relentless assault on zombies and ends the final zombie, ending the combat, as well.
In the corner is a dead body belonging to a dhampir with an unholy symbol that seems clear that he had created the zombies...and perhaps they got away from him. Upon his dead form are two items of note, both of which radiate magic...a longbow +1 and a Ring of Swimming.
Through a crack in the cave's wall, the faint voice can be heard, "As the legendary Gregaro Voth successfully battled the wild beasts in the deepest
reaches of the Mwangi Expanse, so shall I defeat you, foul servant of Lamashtu!” Sounds like she is still in combat and running away from the sound of her voice.
Schaka Inkedama
|
Schaka makes his way into the cave, looking sheepish about not being able to help in the fight against the zombies. Seeing that Miklos has a fairy nasty gash and having not heard him ;-P, Schaka pulls out the wand the party got from Janira and asks, Do you want me to take a look at that, Miklos? Wouldn't want you to get an infection.
Cure Light Wounds (From THE Wand): 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Matéo Cole
|
Matéo looks at the Dhampir, than kicks him to make sure it in fact dead, dead.
He than looks around, wondering if the Dhampir came from another pathway.
perception + guidance: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 1 = 20
Mateo spots a crack in the way, and places his hand near the opening.
Hey guys, I feel air coming in through here, as he motions where his hand is.
Maybe..., his sentence stops has he listens closer and recognizes Janira's voice.
Guys, it sounds like Janira is up ahead, the crazy woman ran off before I could smash that overgrown bull to bits. I want my shot at big FUGLY!
Before anyone can interject, or stop him, Matéo begins to head down the side passage, keeping a keen eye out for any trouble. If there was a zombie-loving wack-a-doodle living in the cave, who knows what else could be down here.
perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

There is no way through that can get you to her, her voice coming through a crack, but the direction leads the way you came along a hallway, and through caves. Directions lead you easily along the way.
Con weekend, I will hopefully post the next bit tomorrow night, if not, definitely Monday night after we get home from trick or treating!

The light of the surface world above provides a welcome reprieve from the blue and green fungus of the caverns below, and light illuminates a stream whose water is hastened by runoff from a recent storm further up the mountains. A ledge to the west rises up to the nearby forest canopy.
The PCs emerge from the caverns into a 40-foot clearing at the base of the Kortos Mounts. The full moon above casts provides dim light over the entire area, bright enough to illuminate even the shaded leaf litter beneath the trees. The patches of woodland are also filled with underbrush that behaves as light undergrowth creating difficult terrain and concealment. The trees are only a few decades old and do not completely occupy their respective squares. A creature that shares a space with one or more trees benefits from partial cover. The stream is about 10 feet wide and 5 feet deep in this area, and the water moves downstream from east to west at 30 feet per round. A 3-foot-diameter tree truck spans the width of the river, creating an impromptu bridge.

Robyyn moves forward, pondering which magics he might call on to assist the battle against the minotaur.
Double move, only the last square seems to be green, so that's the only square that cost double to move into. That square also contains a tree, so Robyyn has partial cover.
