Hi to our group of Starfinder newbies. I hope we can learn by doing and not by dying...

I'm looking forward to this game. I'm liking the look of the announced Iconics so far but i haven't picked out a favorite just yet.

If i'm really lucky i may get hold of my physical copy of the rules from my FLGS before this starts up, but as I live in England it's not exactly guaranteed. I'll certainly have the PDF version as soon as it's released though! :D

I will play almost at the start the quest and the three scenario at the the 27 th. Will I still be able to apply the adventure for my character?

In Organized Play, characters are supposed to only play one game at a time. So... If you are in other Starfinder games in PBP in the same period, they will be on separate characters. Is that what you were asking?

So, I need to send an email to the others in the group to dot and delete since both of you checked in! Does anyone have a preference over which of the iconics they wish to try? I will try to get character sheets up just prior to the game on Google Docs that you guys can cut and paste, provided that I get that information promptly from Paizo.

Could you share the link? I really haven't had time to keep up with all of the Starfinder announcements.

Also, Hmm, I don't know if this will affect me for this game, but I'll be GMing all of the Starfinder scenarios (including this one) at PacifiCon during Labor Day weekend.

Which means I won't have much time to post during those 4 days, AND I will know everything about this particular game.

So although I'd love to stay and play under you (since you *were* my first PbP GM), I'd also understand if you wanted to replace me.

All the iconics look great so far, it'll be hard to choose. I'm not 100% sure the operative class is for me though, so Iseph may be out. I'm leaning more towards Navasi or Obozaya, but I am really curious about mechanics and can't wait to read about Quig.

I was mostly referring to the Paizo Blog posts about Starfinder. They have been doing a 'Meet the Iconics' series, though they haven't revealed the backgrounds for all of them yet.

Paizo have announced which Race/Class combinations the Iconics will be though, not that it helps me chooses one to play...

I played the Starfinder Delve twice at PaizoCon (Well 1.5 due to circumstances outside of my control.)

Keskodai was my favroite but am happy to go elsewhere if somebody really wants her.

So Nefreet... how do you feel about playing this? I want this to be a game of story discovery, but I also don't want to ding a fellow GM for GMing. If you think you could still enjoy this while knowing the story I'm more than okay with you being here.

My -701 is likely an an envoy, so I'm game for Navasi.

I should note that I'm signed up to play this at Gen Con as well.

Will you be able to burn a star, Chris? I don't think this one is replayable.

One thing that I've been considering is asking if other GMs would be willing to reserve a seat or two for those new to PbP, who might get attracted by a Paizo blog that I am going to put up about PbP and PbP Gameday.

If for some reason, you both think you might not be able to play at my table, then I'd like to offer those seats to complete newcomers, maybe by lottery. I love you both as players, want you both as players, but if you think that this will be an issue, I can leave those seats open for a new player lottery.

So are you guys staying with me?

I think it would be best if newer players could experience your GMing skills. I already know they're top notch ;-)

I'll probably just be a GM for the beginning of this new Season.

I can burn stars easily, but I 100% defer to a new player. By all means, you can drop me from the game day, and move up other players (I signed up for this game before Gen Con games were released).

Whatever you decide will be great i'm sure. What you suggested sounds fair and will give new pbp players a chance, so that is always good.

I always like to see new players! I remember when I first found out about PbP and realised that I could actually play RPGs again, 'twas an exciting time :)

I don't believe I've had the pleasure to play with either of you before, but you are undoubtedly awesome people. Maybe we'll meet again in a cantina in the future? Until then, keep your jet packs oiled and your lasers on medium rare.

I think Raia just jumped to the top of the list of iconics I'd like to play. She seems to have the sort of personality I like to play :)

It was good to read a character who has an optimistic outlook who travels because they want to see new things. It's nice to read about a character that doesn't currently have something horrible they are running from/to.

Unless anyone else has a Vesk-ed interest (see what I did there?) I'd like to play Obozaya.

For some reason the Soldier really appeals to me and Obo has the kind of stoic, unintentionally funny personality that I think to play.

And there was me thinking that it would be impossible to make puns out of the Vesk. :)

Je parle français, mais c'etait depuis longtemps que j'ai etudie la langue. J'ai etudie la langue quand j'etais une petite enfant. Peut-etre, j'ai oublie tous!

I'm probably making tons of mistakes! I'm not Québecoise, but my teachers were. I studied French kindergarten through high school. I used to be really good at it, but its been over thirty years since then!
