Starship Combat is not the be all or end all of this game. And having two gunners can be great!
BTW, I want to thank Poblano for making my life easier by letting me copy his slide set and modify it...
HMM You are welcome. Thank you for everything you do as our VL
I have a Pilot Skill of +14 and am ready to navagate the stars if no one minds if not I can Run a gun.

So... I have been doing a good job with this game so far? Yay! I try to make each one I do special. By the way, you guys are hilarious! To have an awesome game, one needs awesome players. Thanks for getting into character like this!

Yeah... all that talk, but no hint of space cheese yet!
We Ysoki hope that we'll finally find a moon made of cheese, that's why Quig is accepting this mission (a man-made moon... could be fromage!).
GM Hmm
Would that make your ship the SS Baguette?
★ ---- ★ ---- ★ ---- ★
So here are my current assumptions about Shipboard assignments:
Iseph - Pilot
Raia - Science Officer
Quinn - Engineer
Obozaya - Gunner on the big turret gun
That leaves Altronus and Keskodai... Ships always need more than one gunner, which Altronus would be better at than Keskodai. Keskokodai, would you be willing to serve as Captain?
If you guys wish do something else, I'm of course amenable. Remember that one can shift between roles.
This change must occur at the start of the round before the engineering phase. You can switch to the pilot or captain role only if that role would otherwise be vacant, or if the character in that role is unable to take actions.
This means that hypothetically, someone like Quig could decide to start out as a backup science officer in order to give the group an even better chance of getting a good scan of enemy ships, then shift to engineering to increase power to the guns, etc. Alternatively, everyone could leave their station to man a gun if there are enough guns available. (It's a good idea to keep a pilot in place, though!)
You guys should decide initial shield allocations. You can write them on the blurry ship character sheet in the maps if you would like. (I'm sorry the sheet looks so blurry... I really did try to get you a clear copy.)
There are additional handouts in the players folder. I hope you find them helpful!
Hugs,

SS Baguette indeed! Ready to be dipped into the first Sun we find.
I am fine with Quig as 'main' Engineer, and am ready to have help when needed, and to assist our Science Officer... or even "man" (rat) a Gun too.
(too bad Quig cannot operate a Gun).
Salutes Captain Keskodai: "Antennas deployed, Cap'n!"

Captain Keskodai! So many lovely decisions to make! *twitches antennae in excitement*

I'm very happy with Raia as the main science officer. Plus, I really like the idea of Quig and Raia running back and forth between stations to help each other when things get rough during battle.
So... I have been doing a good job with this game so far? Yay! I try to make each one I do special.
Definately. If I ever replay this scenario, I don't think it could possibly be anything like this again, and we haven't even left the station yet :)
There are additional handouts in the players folder. I hope you find them helpful!
They are very helpful, thank you!
You guys should decide initial shield allocations
I vote for an even split to start with, 15 at each location, and take it from there.

There's a reason that I don't re-GM PbPs. I try to make each one I do the best it can be. So this will be the one time I run Claim to Salvation in PbP. (I may run it countless times in person, but with PBP you spend several weeks with the same crew... I want it to be fresh everytime I GM one of these in PbP.)

You're doing a great job so far here Hmm - i'm enjoying this game very much.
The same goes for all the characters too. For some Starfinder will be like Star Trek, others like Firefly, other people will have games like Star Wars... we're totally going Guardians of the Galaxy here! ;)

How do you think this works, dear GM Hmm?
Link --> Promotional Boon
one of these is:
Promotional Bonus (Promotional Boon)
(at the bottom you find:)
Alternatively, once per scenario, while wearing a Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Faction Pin, you may add 2d4 to a Culture skill check. For this roll you also treat Culture as if you were trained, even if you don’t have a rank in it.
So, does this mean we can, as of now, slot this boon, and use one of our PFS Faction pins for a 1 time Culture roll bonus? (it is specified that it is PFS not SFS for this one Culture roll - having to do with pre-Gap knowledge)
NOTE: I do not care much if I slot this now or not, mainly trying to get some feedback on how you think it works since this Boon slotting is new
GM Hmm
How do you think this works, dear GM Hmm?
In a normal SFS scenario, you would slot your boons after the mission briefing. This one allows the slotting of no boons other than the Faction Champion boon.
As for how this would work... You tell me that you own a PFS faction pin. (In person, you'd be wearing it, but I take things on faith here in PbP land. Should another GM require seeing a photo of you with your pin, that's okay too.)
Then you would slot that boon.

I've been adding 'Bot Me' instructions on my character profiles for a few months now. Apart from helping out our valiant GMs, I've also found it to be pretty useful for my own posts. One of my characters is a Gnome Cavalier who rides a Wolf into battle, and the shear number of rolls I need to make whenever they both attack is rather annoying to keep typing out. But with a quick copy and paste from my 'Bot Me' spoiler, I'm done :)

Yes, I also feel that the number one person who benefits from Bot Me posts when I'm a player is me!
(Never mind the gnome librarian who snuck into the back room!)
SFS PreGen #1 - Eric C.
I've been trying for months to send people pictures of me wearing my pins, but they all get sent back. This might be my big break!
(that's how I read it too - it's an either/or, right? Either slot an SFS Faction boon, or one of the PFS ones).

Hey all wanted to let you know that I will be headed off to PacifiCon for the Weekend Starting tomorrow. I will try to post but if I don't please feel free to bot me.
GM Hmm
I need a 'Bot me' spoiler, Iseph! Include piloting rolls, please!
And then, have a great time at Pacificon!
Gang, with two of us gone for the weekend, do we want to keep going with light RP through the delighful Sauna, vacation spa of the incarcerated?
Pregen level 4
Why not. This Labor Day after all.

SFS Pregen #1 - ShieldBug
I see nothing wrong with taking in a quick tour while Iseph searches for the ship's handbrake. :)
I'm a little late to the party, but yay for the solarian! It's nice to know one of us can get through weapon control.
SFS Volandis Pregen
I have my local lodge meet up on sunday so i'm unlikely to post that day.
It sounds like taking a weekend break could be a good idea.
GM Hmm
We can take a weekend break if three out of six are gone. I was thinking of doing a light tour before going back into plot with Warden's office, but we can pause altogether instead.
SFS Pregen #1 - ShieldBug
Fair enough :)
Have a great weekend everybody!
GM Hmm
When do we want to start up again with the tour? Sunday night?

So in Starfinder, not only is it five o'clock somewhere, it's also Sunday? Jimmy Buffett will be pleased.
♫ Pour me something tall and strong
Make it a Pangalacticgargleblaster before I go insane
It's only Monday morning, but I don't care
It's Sunday evening somewhere ♫
Hmm, doesn't quite have the same ring to it, but I'm 100% behind the idea.
I'm ready when everybody else is :)
GM Hmm
Hey guys, no post today. It turned into this big family work project day, interspersed with me dealing with Scenario Support for Gameday VI. I'll try to get us on track tomorrow.

Ha!
Actually, wasabi tea would clear the darn sinuses, which are plugged right now. And it's not like I could taste it right now. My gosh, I would probably drink some down. I might even enjoy the heat. I've been freezing all day, even though everyone else is in short sleeves and enjoying the still warm fall...
