Some questions, when do we have to roll Will saves? All our turns? Once we save one, are we protected 24 hours against the power? And... waking up Eidi, allows him to act this very same turn?

Kingmaker Tactical | Strategic | The Marchlands | Campaign Tracking | Liberation Points: 16

Every round you're looking at it, at the start of your turn. If you avert your eyes you don't have to but it has total concealment from you (50% miss chance). Eidi can act this turn, yes.

The wand's spell finally takes effect and Eidi grows bigger as a giant.

Trying to avoid looking at the machine, Vailis moves Eidi getting him out of the fascination.
Vailis moves then to the left, behind Van.

Bald male Half-Elf elder

Eidi awakes from its fascination when Vailis moves him. "What? That's fearsome!", now enlarged, steps to one side looking for space, and releases a couple of big strong claws over the construct!
Claw-Power attack+enlarged: 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 6 - 1 = 14
Slashing/Bludgeoing damage+Power attack: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9

Still avoiding looking directly at the robot, Van steps away 5 feet while pulling out his Wand of Magic Missile. He then directs a magical bolt at the creature.

MM Damage (46 charges remaining): 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Kingmaker Tactical | Strategic | The Marchlands | Campaign Tracking | Liberation Points: 16

Please include a d% roll (51 or higher succeeds) with any attack.

Eidi: 1d100 ⇒ 77 SUCCESS
Van: 1d100 ⇒ 88 SUCCESS

Eidi's first strike clangs off the creature's thick armor, but the second crunches through and Van follows it up with a bolt of pure magical force.

Damaged but still functional, it switches its attacks to Eidi, landing one blow against the enlarged eidolon.

Acrobatics DC 10: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Slam @ Eidi: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13 MISS
Slam @ Eidi: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 HIT Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 plus make a Will save!

Valeros aims to match, keeping his eyes on the floor and throwing his aim off. All his swords cut is air.

Longsword: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8 MISS
Shortsword: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22 HIT 1d100 ⇒ 39 MISS

Since Magic Missles automatically hit, I wasn't sure if I still needed to roll a miss chance, but if that's the case, no problem.

Van shoots another Magic Missle at the strange construct while avoiding its gaze, "Hey, I know we have to deactivate it, but please consider leaving me some parts to study."

Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 56
MM Damage (45 charges remaining): 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Kingmaker Tactical | Strategic | The Marchlands | Campaign Tracking | Liberation Points: 16

Magic missiles fly unerringly against any target unless that target has total cover or total concealment. The robot gets the latter when you avert your eyes, so the roll is needed. In any case, you hit!

Bald male Half-Elf elder

Question, as grease requires to move at half speed, the robot cannot go out just by a 5 feet step, and then he must spend a move action, so no full-round attack and it generates an AoO, am I wrong? Plus, anyway, he is flat-footed this turn.

Grease wrote:

A creature can walk within or through the area of grease at half normal speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check.

Will save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

If AoO:

Claw-Power attack+enlarged (flat-footed?): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 1 = 12
Slashing/Bludgeoing damage+Power attack: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 2 = 11
Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 20

Eidi continues brutishly hitting the construct!
Claw-Power attack+enlarged (flat-footed?): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 1 = 19
Slashing/Bludgeoing damage+Power attack: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14
Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 10
Claw-Power attack+enlarged (flat-footed?): 1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 6 - 1 = 15
Slashing/Bludgeoing damage+Power attack: 1d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 + 2 = 14
Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 65

I will post Vailis action after lunch.

If Eidi and Valeros don't succeed to tear down the construct, Vailis drops his enlarge person wand and draws a lesser eidolon rejuvenate scroll while still holding the cure light wounds wand in the other.

He hastily reads the scroll touching Eidi in the process.
Lesser Rejuvenate Eidolon: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10
The scroll disappears and the bull headed creature wounds suddenly disappear bringing him back to full health.

Kingmaker Tactical | Strategic | The Marchlands | Campaign Tracking | Liberation Points: 16

Yes, you are correct, thanks for catching that! No damage for Eidi, but also no AoO due to total concealment.

Eidi's powerful blow manages to stagger the creature, and Van's missile destroys it. It collapses to the floor in a pile of rent gears and broken metal. Out of initiative! Vailis, you can keep that scroll since Eidi was not injured.

"Thank the gods," mutters Shechera as she walks past the ruined construct towards the exit. Last chance to influence Meleren and Shechera!

The return trip is less eventful than the going out, and you soon find yourself back in Ambrus Valsin's office. He looks up from the papers on his desk and arches an eyebrow. "Well?"

"Wow! We did it! Nice missiles Van." Vailis checks if everybody is well while Eidi searches the construct.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

"It is ok Meleren and Shechera, you can leave now. We can help you to your homes."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

---------------------

Afterwards at Valsin's office "Well, we survived, suffices to say that. It seems some thieves past our tests in behalf of us." Vailis places the tin amulet given by Meleren and Shechera over the table before continuing "We found a estrange metal complex and where attacked by horrible constructs. Van did an exceptional work making the controls over there to work again, and thanks to him we got to exit alive. Well that and a lot of luck while fighting our exit with old machine guards protecting the complex. I hope you can take information there, but take care of whom you send because it is much more dangerous that it would seem in first place."

"Listen you cats," Van says to the bandits, "You gotta quit your crazy ways, do something productive with your lives. We can probably find you less dangerous work in Absalom if you want to call it quits. Heck, if you're good with your hands I could hire you on at my shop."

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

After trying to set Meleren and Shechera straight, Van quickly strips some parts off of the last robot and follows the group out.

Once the party returns to Valsin's office, Van nods in agreement with Vailis' assessement, "Lucky I did some time in Numeria so I know what we were dealing with. Robots, boss. They're like constructs that run on electricity instead of magic. I suggest you send a bigger group down there to investigate and clear that place out, you don't want the Aspis getting their hands on those things and turning them against us."

"I'd be happy to serve as a consultant on that salvaging mission. I mean, I have the expertise." The gnome adds, trying to sound too cool to care to mask his intense desire to study the robots in detail.

"That's a very good idea Sir. Don't count on my expertise though I prefer to go explore some ancient ruins and never again in life place my feet in that damned site."

Valsin vacillates between admonishment and astonishment as you tell your tale, critical that you did not immediately return and report what you found, but also proud that you--as true Pathfinders--forged forward on your own. He immediately sets about sending another team down to catalog and document the newly-exposed area, inviting Van to tag along if he wishes, and the whole group gets compliments for their work (and survival!) from other Pathfinders around the Grand Lodge.

Meleren and Shechera take some time to reflect on their life choices, but it's safe to say that their hours in the Red Redoubt were lifechanging. Perhaps you will see them again...

Great work! I'll have Chronicles out shortly.

Boon Rolls:

GM: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Van: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Vailis: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Marin: 1d20 ⇒ 5
Ginessa: 1d20 ⇒ 12

Boon of players choice on a natural roll of 1 or 20
**Re-Rolls not allowed on boons**

Kingmaker Tactical | Strategic | The Marchlands | Campaign Tracking | Liberation Points: 16

Van gets a boon! Please PM an email address and let me know which one you want. Here are your choices:

Adopted Weapon Training: You have spent an extended period of time training in a culture other than your own, and as a result, you have learned that population’s weapon styles to the exclusion of all others. You gain the weapon familiarity racial trait of one of the following races: dwarf, elf, gnome, halfling, or half-orc. This specialization comes at a price, and you suffer a –1 penalty on attack rolls made with manufactured weapons other than those granted by any weapon familiarity racial traits you possess. You ignore this penalty when using a weapon that benefits from any Weapon Focus feat or weapon training class feature you may have.

Ancestral Ally: Golarion’s many cultures have traditions of animal husbandry and cooperation that date back millennia, and you have embraced one of your people’s favored companion creatures. If you have the divine bond or mount class feature, instead of choosing an animal companion from the list provided in the class description, you may instead call a mount from the list below so long as you are a member of the corresponding race. If the animal companion statistics for your race’s mount are found in a source beyond the Core Assumption, the source is listed below. You must bring a copy of the listed book to all games in which you use the selected animal companion as though access to the animal companion came from the Additional Resources list.

If an asterisk follows an animal companion option listed below, the animal already appears on the list provided by your class description, and you are at least 4th-level, you may spend 5 Prestige Points to strengthen your bond with that type of animal. This increases your effective druid level as one higher when determining the animal companion’s bonus HD, natural armor bonus, Strength and Dexterity bonuses, bonus tricks, and special abilities. This boon cannot increase your effective druid level more than one level above your actual character level.

Dwarf: badger*, boar
Elf: bird*, elk (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 3)
Gnome: badger*, giant weasel (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 4)
Halfling: dog*, ram (Pathfinder RPG Bestiary 2)
Half-Elf: A half-elf may choose from the elf and human lists.
Half-Orc: camel*, bear; a half-orc may also choose from the human list.
Human: bird*, horse*

Custom Order: You have a special contract with an ammunition crafter, and you are able to order small batches of specialty ammunition as a result. Choose either a +1 or +2 ranged weapon enchantment. You may purchase +1 [enchantment] pieces of ammunition in sets of 10 instead of sets of 50. Once you choose the weapon enchantment, you may only change the enchantment type by spending 4 Prestige Points.

Because I'm not sure Ginessa is connected to the Discussion thread:

Ginessa, please tell me your PFS # (XXXXX-X), Faction, and make a day job roll (if applicable) so that I can complete your Chronicle.

Thanks!

Chronicles are HERE!

I will report this session as soon as I hear from Ginessa, or in a couple of days if I don't hear before then. Thanks everybody for sticking it out to the end!
