Since we have a couple of ongoing recruitment threads for low level characters and one for 5th level plus characters I thought I would create something to cater for 3-5th level characters.

The first scenario up will be season 3's Sewer Dragons of Absalom. I will take the first five characters that meet all of the requirements below.

* Have a PFS alias, including their character sheet and PFS number.
* Are 3rd-5th level.
* Player has not played the scenario, or is spending a GM star to replay.
* Are able to post at minimum once per day.
* Have at least a minimal character backstory posted in alias. I know this is not a typical requirement, but I think it ought to be encouraged, don't mind if its only a sentence or two.

Anyone who does not get into the first game may place their name on this list, for the upcoming games. Anyone willing to GM is very welcome to offer up a game here, whether taking the next on the play list or offering something else in the level range, etc.

Planned Scenario List:
1. Sewer Dragons of Absalom
2. Song of the Seawitch
3. Among the Gods
4. The Midnight Mauler

The Exchange

I played sewer dragons but would like to play the others with this character. Dont mind replaying for no credit. Background will be updated in 3 hours (at work atm)

Shadow Lodge

I can sign you up for Song of the Seawitch Tarquin. My understanding is that the only way you are allowed to play for no credit is to make up a legal table, so we'll wait and see on that - hoping there will be enough 3rd levels floating around that that will not be an issue.

Hi - thanks for starting this 3-5 recruitment! I just put two characters on your list, who are second level soon to be third. I'd love to jump into your game(s) once they level up, which will likely be after PaizoCon in early July. If I play any of these scenarios there, I'll change my entry to reflect that.

I hope you're okay with the placeholder approach I took, feel free to move me around on the list - just wanted to be sure I was on it.

Dark Archive

I would be interested in participating in Sewer Dragons.

Shadow Lodge

@Khelreddin I am fine with that, look forward to running with you :)

@Rowanna great consider yourself in - I still remember the rather harrowing end to Citadel of Flame, where half our team got BBQed. We'll get underway as soon as the roster fills up.

Sewer Dragons of Absalom
1. Rowanna
2.
3.
4.
5.

Dark Archive

Yeah, that was a close one. R.I.P. Jax.

Hopefully this group will have a better healer than me!

Grand Lodge

Excellent idea!

I'm interested in taking part in the Midnight Mauler, but the other ones will be either played with the Orphans group (as you know) or IRL (Song of the Sea Witch). Many characters will be available by then, if you play them in the order you indicated.

Available characters will include:
Ennoia (Ftr/Pal 4 or 5)
Ouroboreia (Wizard 5)
Aetherys (Magus 3 or 4)

Shadow Lodge

Wotcha Lithrac :) Speak of the BBQer! I'm certainly up for altering the order if that proves more convenient for people. I've basically just listed them in order of publication I do not believe there is any particular connection between them so I would be willing to switch Midnight Mauler to 2nd, which I had planned to kick off a few days after Sewer Dragons.

The Exchange

The order of the other scenarios are of no concern to me. Putting another game first would mean I get to play sooner ;)

Dark Archive

I've played Among the Gods, but I'm fine with switching to any of the others.

Shadow Lodge

Okay so Midnight Mauler 1st? Sound okay to everyone?

1. Tarquin
2. Rowanna
3. GM Lithrac
4. ?
5. ?

The Exchange

Sounds fun

Ive got a 5th level kitsune sorcerer thats available..

Can't believe yall brought up poor Jax, he was a good soul and evil GM Lithrac melted him in lava.. Evil.. Opps, did I say that outloud?

Shadow Lodge

Sounds good Werepox, just waiting on a 5th then, we should be able to get underway tomorrow. I should point out that I do not give a monkeys about group composition if you wish to select your characters to fit the group that is fine, but I am perfectly fine running an all wizard group so long as nobody expects me to pull punches, etc.

The Midnight Mauler.

1. Tarquin
2. Rowanna
3. GM Lithrac
4. Werepox47
5. ?

Dark Archive

Works for me!

The Exchange

Pox's enchanter checking in.. Just need to make some purchases but otherwise gtg..

Grand Lodge

I've got an open 4th level witch that would like to play Midnight Mauler or Song of the Seawitch. I might be able to play Among the Gods...I'll have to check.

Edit: I also have an open 4th level alchemist crypt breaker. If I get in, would the group prefer I bring the alchemist to the party instead?

Dark Archive

I vote for the alchemist, primarily for the bombs and the trap disposal.

Scarab Sages

This is the alchemist I could run in Tessara's place. I'm fine if that would be the preferred character.

Grand Lodge

Actually my only currently-available character (Ennoia, the paladin) is "booked" for EF's next game, but two characters should be available by the time you finish Sewer Dragons. Would it be possible to move Midnight Mauler to 2nd or 3rd in your playlist, please?

Shadow Lodge

Dotting.
Currently all my characters in that level range, a 5th lvl cleric and a 3rd lvl inquisitor, are still locked in gameday2 games but they should be avaible soon (one or two weeks I think). So I would like to forward my name for the second scenario to be run. I am interested in Sewer Dragons of Absalom, Song of the Sea Witch and The Midnight Mauler.

The Exchange

Rowanna Im an alchemist as well ;). So for diversity's sake play the witch Tessara. Haven't played with one yet.

Btw is there some rule against playing a character in two scenarios at the same time?

Shadow Lodge

Unfortunately yes there is, you cant. Only one scenario at time per character. Even if its a pbp.

The Exchange

No problem, Tarquin is free for play :)

Dark Archive

Well, Tarquin, both Tessara and I are witches, so no matter which character is chosen, there's going to be a doubling up. :)

Ruprecht appears to be a different type of alchemist than Tarquin, which I why I made that suggestion. Plus, Tessara and I just swapped spells, so we've both got the same ones.

That being said, if Tessara would be preferred by the player, that's totally cool by me. We just might want to coordinate spells memorized to be a more effective.

The Exchange

Ah I just noticed. Well I don't mind either way. Two witches will be fun on the debuffing whereas two alchemists will be fun on bombing ;).

Shadow Lodge

Since the Midnight Mauler was Lithracs preference I do not see a problem with moving it back. Does Song of the Seawith work?

Song of the Seawitch
1. Tarquin
2. Rowanna
3. Werepox 47
4. Tessara Omelion PFS
5. ?

Any problems with that line up, for that scenario?

Grand Lodge

Song of the Seawitch works for either of my characters.

No problems other than we have no tank.. 2 witches, 1 alchemist, 1 sorcerer..

Shadow Lodge

Bah, overwhelming spell power! With bombs!

Scarab Sages

Instead of Tess, I can bring my alchemist to the party. He still isn't what I'd call a tank, but he's tougher than Tess is.

The Exchange

My character can tank a little if necessary and after the proper amount of buffs (like shield and mutagen). I think with the amount of control we can dish out we should be ok.

Should we put this as a gameday play? Free boons if we finish on time ;).

Scarab Sages

If the DM thinks we can finish on time, I'm up for giving it a go.

Shadow Lodge

Yes I certainly intend to submit it for the gameday, my previous games ran at about two weeks, and the longest ever has been bout five so we should be fine. Honestly I would be surprised if we cannot get a couple more in - though I am only allowed to run 2 gameday games concurrently which may be an issue, but not for this game.

Shadow Lodge

Still looking for one more for Song of the Seawitch, if we do not get someone by the end of the day I am happy to run with four.

If it wouldn't be complete suicide, I could play my 2nd-level half-orc ranger in Song of the Sea Witch. I haven't played up before, but he's pretty tough and can deal out a fair bit of damage. I understand out-of-tier gold is not as sweet as it once was, so I'm not sure it's worth the risk.

Any thoughts? Knowledge of how deadly the scenario is? At the risk of meta-gaming, I read the description and it talks a bit of devils - my ranger's FE is evil outsiders, as he's a demon-hunter, so it could apply nicely here.

I'm inclined to go for it, but would happily entertain any who would talk me out of it.

Grand Lodge

Song of the Sea Witch is 3-7, you can't play it with a level 2 character. Playing up means you play in subtier 6-7 when you have a level 5.x APL, but your character must be within the limits of the scenario tier (here, 3-7).

Oh, I missed that that was the tier for that. Thanks, never mind, and I'll jump into this series after PaizoCon I guess.

Shadow Lodge

Yup, sorry Khelreddin GM Lithrac has the right of it, just reading through the scenario now to see if I feel playing it with four is viable.

Shadow Lodge

After looking things over I would be happy enough to run the adventure for 4. I would still rather have a 5th so I will give it until tomorrow before kicking off.

Scarab Sages

What's the plan, gang?

Dark Archive

I would feel better with 5 players instead of 4, unless the GM is confident it'll be doable without a dedicated frontliner.

Silver Crusade

Mrachni's available (level 4) if you're still looking for a fifth, Broken GM.

Scarab Sages

Sounds perfect to me!

Dark Archive

Yeah, we should be good to go.

The Exchange

Cool Cool Cool

The Exchange

Heard from the GM, he's been a little busy but will start setting things up :).

Silver Crusade

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to bow out of this. If I'm going to add another game, I want it to be a reliable one.

No offense to the GM (I've played with him before and would do so again, but perhaps when he's a bit less busy).

The Exchange

That's a shame man, were just about to start. Past few days were holidays for a lot of people so its normal for some less posting.
