Now that his friend has taken his feet (and is still standing) Maldoc will shift to flank the other goblin and try to bring it down!

Touch: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 2 = 26 for Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 Arcane Mark goes off, marking the goblin as "ENEMY" in elvish.

Maldoc steps over to overwhelm the goblin, and strikes it, but it's not enough to bring it down. Goblin 2 shifts over and attacks Sam, hoping to draw blood and get into a better position later, but doesn't realize until it's too late that he just kind of screwed himself.

Walking to the goblin Sam repays the favor clawing the little monster. Where his fingers meet flesh a deep oozing gash is left behind.

Sure.

Between Sam and Maldoc's last attacks, the final goblin drops, dying. Rifling through the room, you find little of interest. It's primarily trash, though you do find a potion of CLW and an unholy symbol on the shaman. Once again, the potion's bottle has that symbol carved into it of a human man on his knees, his arms raised toward a rising sun.

Let me know if you want to do anything before proceeding on, such as healing/buffing.

Opening the door you see a hallway. This long hallway stretches 110 feet from east to west and is periodically broken up by thick, iron portcullises*. Several sets of doors can be seen at even intervals along the north and south walls, and at the far east end the hallway appears to terminate in a room filled with large cages. The floor of the hallway was recently swept, but spiderwebs the ceilings.

* = the first one is unlocked, and can easily be raised with a DC 18 Str check, (or taking 10 and aiding another). The second one, is locked (when we get to it).

Sam uses a table from the other room (or other avaible furniture) to keep the portcullis up so Umaro doesnt have to hold it.

After propping open the first portcullis, you now have access to the first four doors. Listening to them, you do not hear any noises coming from inside them. The second door on the right has a faint amount of light coming through the cracks, while the other three are dark. Walking to the second portcullis, you try, but are unable to get it to move, and on the other side you see that it is held by some sort of mechanism. There must be a way to unlock it. Beyond it, you can see a few jail cells, their doors wide open, with indications that someone, (dirty) has been sleeping there recently.

Its unlocked, but you see no traps or dangers. Opening it, you actually find that there is a second double door directly in front of you, and a set of double doors to the right and left. So, I assume we are opening this double door somehow? Maldoc will check it again Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 and suggests the same plan (why wouldn't he?)

Shadow Lodge

||CORE Rotating DM ||Fingerprints||King Xeros ||Serpent's Skull||

There are actually a total of 3 sets of doors in the room before you. A double door straight ahead, and then one on the right and left each.

Proceeding to the next door ahead, you hear nothing from inside, though light flickers through the cracks a bit, likely a torch or candle. Opening the door, you hear a male voice call out from within the room, "Who is it?". The room is lit, and appears to be an office, if a makeshift one. Two large bookshelves, (apparently salvaged ones), sit on the left and right. A large rug is laid out on the floor, covering rotted carpet below. In the center of the room I a large wooden desk, and sitting at it a human man, engrossed in writing letters. He hadn't even bothered to look up as you opened the door, but as he does, he grows instantly suspicious, stands and draws a rapier from his belt. "Who are you!" He seems to be a gentleman warrior rather than a brute, and is wearing fine chain armor.

I didn't roll Init yet, because you might want to talk rather than fight (you don't have to). He isn't attacking, (yet), just surprised and arming himself. If you do decide to attack, we will roll Init and go from there.

Perception checks please. Elf and Dwarf bonuses apply.

I added a note on the map, but the large table requires an Acrobatics check DC 15 to jump on top of or over. Otherwise it counts as Difficult Terrain, and also provides cover.

He smiles at Kryssa's overdone entrance, thinking of possibilities, but doesn't take too kindly to the idea of being asked to surrender or the mention that you are Pathfinders, (real or otherwise). "Ah, you must be the reason that Mr. Pratt", part 1 boss"has failed to report in. I suppose at this point, it would simply be a waste of breath try to persuade you of your foolishness in alliances." Bringing his rapier up to guard, and assuming a fighting stance, he points the blade at you mockingly, "En Garde!"

As he brings his other hand up, dropping a letter he had been holding, you notice that he has a small rope in it. As it pulls away from the desk, you hear a loud clanking sound behind you, and realize that that second portcullis has just opened, as he smiles.

I apologize. That was what the Perception check earlier was for and I completely forgot it. He basically had his hand ready to hit the panic button.
