Altronus - Thewissen |
Altronus grabs his solar mote and turns it into a blade, moves 30 feet forward, and taunts the orange goblin.
"The dark doesn't do much to hide your ugliness, orange little monster."
I ready a standard action to attack any enemy that moves adjacent to Altronus, and Altronus becomes photon-attuned
GM Poblano Pepper |
Iseph slinks among the shadows still shooting, dealing a mortal wound to the one in purple as their shot nearly blows the goblin bullies arm off.
Altronus becomes one with the Force cosmos and yells a scant threat to any goblin willing to fight him.
The Goblin in Purple Fatigues bleeding from a large wound in it shoulder attempts to intimidate the large Vesk in front of it.
”You no Tough! You can't even take me on!!!”
Intimidate: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Vs DC 17 (10+Obo 7 Intim.)

GM Poblano Pepper |
Obozaya moves around the line of goblins seeing her sights on all three at once she lets a blast of fire from her flamethrower. The Goblin in purple bends over as if looking for its horsechopper it thought it had in hand no AoO . The blue looks utterly mortified as he ducks under the blast. The one with the orange fin however stares straight at the flamethrower with wonder and amazement. Holding out its arms wanting to hug the fire as it blasts straight into its face the goblin falls dead to the floor.

Navaso briskly walks forward takeing a syringe shot directed at the goblin bully clothed in purple. Although nearly fatal to the smaller goblins Navaso’s shot only seeks to drive the bully into a fury as it spouts of some foul language cursing at Navaso ”I keep’n you for myself!”
The Goblin in blue pants nearly shakes out of them as she throws her Junk Laser behind her causing a minor explosion. ”I gives! I gives! Big-Flame-Breather-God now new new chief. I do what you say! Don’t kill me…” prostrating herself before Obozaya's she quips in ”...Or eat me!!”
The one in grey looks just as nervous remarking out "I gives too!!! seeming eager now to drop his weapons too.
The one on pink up on the catwalk growls out "Borgor will eat you now! I tell him quick quick."

while not implicitly listed in my inventory would we assume the engineering pack would have a flashlight in it?
GM Poblano Pepper |
Quig over calculated the arc he would have had to shoot at hit the one in pink. Scout’s shot barely grazes the one in pink nipping just the tip of his ear.
Iseph takes a shot from the shadows at the Purple Goblin Bully straight through its temple, dropping it immediately.
Greytone throws itself to the floor, weapons skittering about and shrieks ”Don’t eat me Big-Flame-Breather-God new new chief!!!!”
Raia sheds some light on the situation while drawing her pistol.
@raia: flashlights are a separate item from kits so I would think not

Altronus - Thewissen |
Altronus uses a double move to go up the stairs and check whether it's locked or opened.
I believe a double move prevents me from opening the door, so what I intend to do here is the equivalent of "trying to twist the knob" to see whether the lock is on or not.
GM Poblano Pepper |
Altronus hustles up the ladder up to the catwalk reaches the door and Jiggle, Jiggle finds the door is locked thinking to himself that a certain vesk could rip it down or a small Ysoki that is more mechanically inclined might be able to open it.
Watching as the others start grovelling Pink’n yells out ”Ha You think Big-Flame-Breather-God new new chief now?. Haha Big Bad Chief goin to eat you nows.” the last goblin standing is in no mood to surrender leveling its Suped-Up Junk laser at Quig singeing his fur slightly.

COMBAT OVER
"Pleass we be good goblins to Big-Flame-Breather-God new new chief." they say in unison as the crawl up to Obozaya non-threatening like.
You have two goblins grovelling at your feet Obozaya. There is the Archer's wreckage and parts everywhere.
What do you want to do?

"Big-Bad-Mean-Old-New-Chief? We not tell... We don't want go!! You our chief now. Don't need old new chief." the goblins seem scared and evasive not wanting to talk about anything when asked.

Quig -Khaoz |
Anyone fiddling with the Archer scraps?
After shots have cleared and the larger party members are having a civilized conversation with the goblins, Quig runs to get to the [i]Archer[/] trying to find a way into the cockpit.
"Scout, shed some light here. We need to find Ms. Pretty's toolbox!"
GM Poblano Pepper |
While Obozaya is talking with the little goblins Quig, with the help of Scout, performs a quick once over of the last remnants of the Archer seeing that most of remaining parts of the ship have been stripped of anything of value or usability. The cockpit of the Archer does seem to be still intact and the goblins haven't yet made their way in to ransack it. Upon further review you have noticed there are two ways in, through the view ports or by clearing the debris at the base opening.
Need a strength or Engineering check
GM Poblano Pepper |
The goblins look up at Obozaya and Greytone speaks "Gutproud Techtalker was Stink-stink-smell-bad-old-old-chief. She brought us here to take parts of ships and what else we coulds. She would commune with Glowing Green God in glowing green chamber." he points up to the room Altonus is attempting to get into. "We not seen or heard her for a while. We heard loud buzz and giant pop."
Navaso the Iconic |
Navaso moves up to the upper area behind Altronus and watches out for any "buzzing or popping" that the goblins are talking about, providing some backup and quick heal if anything goes wrong.
Raia |
Raia moves up beside Altronus and Navaso. " I might not be quite as good as Quig, but let me see if I can open this door for you."
She slings pack off her back and pulls out her engineering toolkit. " Best be prepared we don't know what is in here."
Disable lock: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
GM Poblano Pepper |
Quig hops up onto the Archer's view ports, pulls out a few tools and within seconds he has removed the ports and squeezed his way in. Inside you see that some power is still running to the terminals inside.
On the terminal screen you see what look like a display of Audio Logs
Navaso and Raia Make their way up to the catwalk and at the doors Raia starts to work on the doors. As she works she tears out the retinal scanner looking to bypass it. With a couple of pops, buzzes and fizzs the door swooshes open.
As you enter the room a soft glow radiates from flickering computer screens, washing the various numerous workstations under a film of light the color of sea foam. The constant hum of electronics floods the room, enhanced periodically by several nagging pings from blinking console alarms.
Raia |
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 6
Raia hearing the familiar sound of electronics and soft glow of the computers starts to head towards them......
Cwethan's Iconic - IN SPAAAACE |

Hmmp.
Obozaya bends down to grab one of the goblins by the arm, What've you got here? 5731170, This a code to something? Anyways, stay here and guard this ship, got it?
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 5
With a clunk and gurgle Obozaya slings her flamethrower across her back and follows Raia.
Navaso the Iconic |
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Navaso takes a look around the room and notices two things, a small key card lodged between the cushions of one of the chairs, and a charred corpse beneath the console which is probably the goblin's former old-old chief, Gutproud Techtalker. "Well we found a key card but I have no clue what it goes to. And this seems to be the goblins' former chief." he says pointing to the charred remains. "Probably watch out for those cables, they might have fried her alive and you don't want to meet the same fate."
Raia |
"Navaso would you allow me to use the card, I'd like to see what these computers tell us and if we can acertain additional information for our quest?"
Raia carefully avoids the cables and looks over the console before she sits down. Carefully she begins to go to work, zoning in on the task to access the system and for it to reveal its secrets.
computers: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (6) + 14 = 20
GM Poblano Pepper |
Ach it ate my post. Need to wayback machine for a second.
Quig has discovered a small locker that appears to be broken from the impact of the ship into the Hangar Bay. Inside the foot locker is a leather tool harness embroidered with the name “Livewire.”
Treat the tools and devices strapped to the harness as a computer hacking kit. In addition, anyone attempting to repair a computer with the Engineering skill receives a +2 bonus to the check while using these tools.
Bluepants answers Obozya "This is passage of rite tattoo. I know not means but Stink-Stink-Smell-Way-Bad-Old-Old-Chief. give them too us." Greytone stands up showing off his tattoo as well with a small pride. Intoning together "We Exhaust Drinkers!!!! Yesss Great-Big-Flame-Breather-God-New-New-Chief. We guard."
Obozaya you come upon the room with the the other party. The room smells horrible but you don't quite no why. It appears that the room hoses a broken computer mainframe that appears to be in a state of mid-repair and a host of other terminals flickering and blinking.
Navaso hands the key-card over to Raia noting that a slot is apparent on one of the opposite terminals from the semi-broken mainframe that Gutproud Techtalker was in the middle of repairing before her sudden demise.
Raia did you want to still continue with the computer or did you want to try to finish repairs on the mainframe to make it fully operational?
Altronus - Thewissen |
After Raia opens the door, Altronus thanks her.
"Thank you Raia. I really do enjoy working with you."
Altronus enters the room and will stand at the ready, solar weapon activated, in case something or someone bursts into the room through the eastern entrance.
Raia |
Finish repairing the mainframe to make it operational please
"I enjoy working with you as well Altronus." She smiles at Altronus and continues repairs on the mainframe.
GM Poblano Pepper |
@Raia: Using your previous roll to repair
After Raia takes a few moments to finish the repairs on the mainframe which appears to be easy work. Even more as she noticed many of the wires had be crossed when they should have been with the previous attempt at repair.
With the last parts in place all the monitors and view screens appear normally with no flickering or flashing. All screens show the same display asking for a seven digit paraphrase.
Raia you can attempt your 'mad HaX' skills now if you desire.

Quig -Khaoz |
GM: I'll try going in to the computers room, unless I'm not done with the Archer yet, if so, let me know and ignore this post.
The doors open to let the ysoki through. "I found Livewire's toolbo... What's that smell? It smells worse than fried rat in here! Fried gobbo? EEEEWWW! Maybe those wires were live, huh?... Anything I can help with? Maybe find a way the cycle the air in here?
GM Poblano Pepper |
No worries Khaoz
Obozaya quickly suggests the string of seven numbers found on the goblins left forearms.
The little Ysoki completed all his work with the Archer, Livewire's tool belt in hand. Ready to help out.

Raia |
Raia smiles at the Ysoki's comments about the smell. "A little fried goblin is on the menu Quig. Hey if you could trace the power back to see where this place is generating power might be useful.....and some fresh air too."
Raia gets busy hacking into the computer, her features just twitching in excitement to see what she can discover. Totally ignoring any of her companions.
The MadHack: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (17) + 14 = 31
GM Poblano Pepper |
As the group sees Raia fall into a crazed Hacking trance, she flies through screens and DOS programs plowing her way through every firewall, shutting of the Level one Shock Grid that has been set around this whole room that could possible take everyone in the room into the Drift beyond.
Within mere moments the display screen has been changed to a theme of Raia's choosing, she has installed her own linuX operating program, and a remote access protocol.
Raia now has near complete access to the whole Hangar bay and system allowing her to perform some basic actions.
• Turn the hangar’s lights on and off or go into a strobe mode
• Activate or deactivate any electronically sealed doors
• Silence the alarms pinging within the room
• Pinpoint the source of a mysterious signal below your current level
• Adjust the ambient temperature between 66° and 78° F.
• Access the intercom system to speak or play recordings on.
• Access the controls for the gravity plating in certain areas.
Navaso the Iconic |
Navaso stays on alert outside with his pistol ready, keeping an eye out for any other goblins that might be hiding around. "We're still okay out here, you guys done in there yet? Hurry up! I want to get back to my captain's chair."
Raia |
"I have basic control of the entire hangar bay and have turned on the light inside the bay. I can access this area whenever needed."
will be on business travel so can only post early morning and evenings until Friday

Iseph nods at Navaso and moves in the direction the envoy indicates. Hopefully stealthily!

want me to stay here in the event you need me to close or open doors? If you find a flashlight by chance.......I could use one
GM Poblano Pepper |
Yup she does, sorry about that you have had a flashlight the whole time. Face Palm
A personal comm unit is pocket-sized device that combines
a minor portable computer (treat as a tier-0 computer with no
upgrades or modules) and a cellular communication device,
allowing wireless communication with other comm units in both
audio- and text-based formats at planetary range (see page 272).
A personal comm unit also includes a calculator, a flashlight
(increases the light level one step in a 15-foot cone), and several
entertainment options (including games and access to any local
infospheres). You can upgrade a personal comm unit to function
as some other devices (such as full computers and scanners) by
spending credits equal to 110% of the additional device’s price.
I will post later to move story forward
GM Poblano Pepper |
With Raia contorlling most of the Hangar she easily unlocks all the doors and the group proceeds along the catwalk to the elvator doors. With a few button presses she opens the door and a thick plume of steam rolls out from the freshly opened doors. After a moment, the steam evaporates, revealing a marked transition into an entirely different area—a section of an entirely different starship. Where the hangar bay had straight lines and smooth plastic walls, this elevator has exposed cords and wires in varying dark shades such as charcoal and umber.
As the group enter the elevator, a singsong voice greets them in an alien tongue. Soft lights wash over a smooth, wet surface at the elevator’s southern wall. Scores of holographic glyphs appear in three spiraling patterns foreign to the Pact Worlds.
None of your group can recognize the glyphs but you might find a way to 'comprehend' them as the elevator seems to sit waiting for some action from any one here.
