Still no word from Gabriel, I hope everything's okay with him.
With Gabe likely not making it again and Agent needing to sit out (on top of some people needing to leave early) I think I'm going to cancel tonight's session. Sorry guys, but I just don't want to push on with two people absent again.
If I still don't hear back from Gabe in the next couple days I'm going to have to consider a replacement party member.

I'm good for Wednesday, yep. I still haven't heard anything from Gabe at all. It'll be three weeks without a word from him tomorrow. I haven't gone through the process of finding a replacement yet, either. I think what we'll do is play Wednesday's session, and I'll tap on what is left of the standbys to see if any of them have time.

So, I thought I broke my router last night. I couldn't get connected at all after my connection stopped working and spent a couple hours trying to figure it out before stopping in frustration.
I didn't break my router, I'm just a retard.
This morning with a clear head I figured out what happened. In attempting to get the MUSH up and running on my computer I somehow managed to trigger my old-as-balls firewall software to disconnect all incoming/outgoing internet connections. Apparently it thought the attempts at incoming access from my girlfriend's laptop qualified as an intrusion attempt and just turned off internet access. Without, like, giving me a f$*#ing popup.
So, piece of ass zone alarm software has now been gutted from my system. I haven't tried accepting inbound connections to the MUSH yet. I figure it'll work.
Do we want to try for tonight? Also it doesn't appear that any of my remaining original backup players are free to join in Gabriel's spot. Does anyone know a player they'd like to recommend before I throw open the gates again?

I haven't looked at anyones character sheets or background, so I have no idea what spot Gabriel filled. He was a serious mystery to me. If I didn't know he was a summoner synthesis I would have been going like "What the heck?".
Turns out right after you left, Ravenfall was able to get router access and set up the Mush.
So we shall do this next week. For sure. Hands down. No exceptions.

Haha, oh god the timing :(
Definitely on next week. Gabe's role was largely the party face/tank since as a synthesist he had preposterously good armor class. The high charisma requirement for summoners meant he'd be good in a leader-y/diplomacy role too.
I'm more looking for good players ideally, then I can discuss role/etc with them.

I just got hired for a moving job that takes Wednesday and probably Thursday, so no matter what day we play on this week, there's a chance of me being late (though much more likely on Wednesday than Thursday). I have no idea how late, I probably won't know until the day of.

I may be absent or late tonight; I can't know for sure at the moment. I know I will be out a large portion of the afternoon on Ze Job Hunt. Hopefully I will be back in time for awesomeness or not miss much of it, but my laptop is presently not where I am, so regretably I can't turn on the MUSH in advance. If I'm back before we start, everything should be gravy in that department though.

Also, I've been mulling over some things the last few days with regards to the campaign and its progress. I took a look at how many sessions we've been able to have since inception and the amount of ground we're able to cover during the session and it -- by fault of the medium, I think -- feels like it's been going at a crawling pace, between availability issues, tech hiccups and the like.
I wanted to know how everyone else felt about the speed of things and the progress we're making. I try not to run sessions when we're missing too many people, so as to not have that awkward moment where someone who really should have something to say/react stands in the background like a cardboard cutout, but that's contributed in less sessions overall happening.
There's a couple of solutions, if you guys aren't happy with the pacing, that we could work with.
1) Always play a sessions as long as one person is available: It means more and more people will miss out on sessions, and after missing a few in a row they could have to either be dropped or might just drop themselves for feeling left behind.
2) Convert to a Play-by-Post format and forsake the actual game-session MUSH angle entirely. I presently run a Reign of Winter PbP (my first ever) and it's surprisingly more fun than I would've expected. But I know this format might not be for everyone, either.
Let me know what you all think, it's important to me that my players are happy and feel engaged in the game!

I personally have commitment issues when it comes to play by post. I've dropped out of everyone I've joined. Also, of everything I know about PBP, it would go even slower than the current rate.
We really aren't that much different from actually meeting together. Because of our method of communication, and the story telling aspect of it all, we will be slow. The only way we could speed it up would be if we all hopped on voice chat, but that would destroy what we've been doing.
I personally am fine with our current rate of progression. So it may take us a few years to accomplish anything. That will just give Karrn more time to munch on his moose.

Play-by-post would be cool, but I don't have a problem with the current format. Being the person who's probably missed the most, I don't mind people playing me. The slow pace actually helps out with that, since it's easier to catch up, but I'm not worried about becoming discouraged.
As for tonight, I'll definitely be here. I hit a rough patch with work the past couple of weeks, but that should be done now.

I'll have to remake Gobgob then, my infamous Goblin Cleric of Calistra from a friend's campaign. This was our first Pathfinder game, and I did not know much about Calistra back then. Gobgob died defending his group from far too many gargoyles than he could handle - he went down channeling negative energy like a boss. And high on chalk - he snorted chalk regularly.
