Also I loved Karrn's prologue. His attitude is way different than I expected, and it's a great surprise.

Thanks! Just curious, what were you expecting his attitude to be like?
I'm not sure, I guess there's a certain gnashy expectation when dealing with a gnoll preconception. But you take the concept that could be kinda' one note and turn it just ever so slightly on its ear so it's the beast-men looking at civilized people like they're the animals who just don't get it and I think that's going to be such a lovely juxtaposition with both the rest of the group and where the story winds up going.

Hello! I am the aforementioned 5th man/friend of Lucent's. I apologise for my late posting, but here I am. Looking forward to playing tomorrow!
For the curious, as well as for Lucent's benefit, you can see my character sheet here! - http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=495783
As for MUSH and getting setup, if people hop on Roll20 at around 5:30 tomorrow, I'll help people get set up and ready to go. The connection address is 24.125.252.162 port 2860, though the server isn't up at the moment (it only goes up immediately before sessions and such). If anyone needs any help, just leave me a note here or show up early tomorrow! If you're on PC, I recommend SimpleMU or MUSH Client, if you're on Mac, Atlantis is the way to go.
Welcome to the game Ravenfall! It's great to have you on board! Also, awesome character!
Male Gnoll Ranger (Shapeshifter) 1
Welcome, Ravenfall!
Also, I just realized that with curious people likely to be asking Karrn about it, I'm going to have to do some more fleshing-out of his tribe's beliefs with the Walker and such. Hmmm.
"There once was a Gnoll named Walker. He walked. The end."
"Was he named Walker before he walked or after?"
"We will never know, but the elders of the tribe continue to argue the point to this day."
I love it when players of highly uncommon races do a little personal worldbuilding/mythweaving! So excited for tonight :D
Oh, and if you haven't yet Raven check out the prologues thread (linked in the OP), there's some foreshadowing/NPC establishment there. Plus I know you're a sucker for character intros :D

I just posted up a quick, 11th hour prologue for Lyniza. Now to finish reading the others @_@
Agent/Kas, we had our first session last night. You can find the log of it at our Chapter I journal thread here. Hopefully we'll get to see you next week!
A very interesting session with some very interesting players and a very interesting DM. So far, it's all been... intriguing. (see what I did there?) Anyway, thanks again to anyone who came for the great time and I look forward to the next game!
Might be a little late tonight, it's snowing pretty hard here and I have a relatively long commute from work. Probably no more than 10-15 minutes. Just figured I'd give you all a heads-up!
Just got home, power is out. Not sure when it will be back on. Ever thankful for my new iPhone :(
If it doesn't come back in the next hour I think we'll have to porpoise this one until next week.
God damn you autocorrect.
I suppose we don't have a choice but to porpoise this game until next week. Hopefully we won't have to porpoise it anymore aft this, cause last week was really fun. But it's understandable, why we had to porpoise it this week. Not your fault your power went out.
What's sad, is I was so tired I didn't even see the mistake.
I am 100% good for tonight, no hiccups in the schedule! See you all at game time!
Male Gnoll Ranger (Shapeshifter) 1
Just found out I can't make the session tonight. My apologies. There should be no hiccups in me returning next week.
We should be able to continue without Warheit tonight, provided everybody else is good to show. If we do play, I'll keep Karrn out of the spotlight, though there may be a few rolls I'll need to make depending on how far we get.

Not much in the way of RP happened after Lucent took off tonight. That said, if people want to get together and continue the downtime RP that was set up at the end of session, leave a note in Gameplay thread; I'll try and have the server up, or failing that, there's google docs. I'd definitely love to throw Lyniza at some people sometime this week, so keep it in mind.
I'm up for it whenever! Tell me what days you got free or when you'd like to do it.
@Wahrheit: Forgot to note that the log of last week's session is up at the campaign journal.
Notice: Tonight's session will potentially include our first combat encounter. If there are any last-minute changes you would like to make to your character (class archetype choice, skill point choices, feats, etc) now's the time to do it.
If you have adjustments to make, let me know in this thread. After tonight all decisions are final!
Attention:
I'm not home yet, got stuck at work late working on a project. I'm going to be here another 30 minutes or more, then it's a 45-minute drive home. I think I'm going to have to postpone tonight's session to next week due to this scheduling fracas. I'm super sorry about the last-minuteness of this. Hope everyone remembers to check this message!
Would it be possible to set up another time of the week we can get together, as a back up for when Wednesday doesn't work?
Male Gnoll Ranger (Shapeshifter) 1
Ouch, that sucks. Hope you can get some time to relax.
Also, I second the motion to try to set up a secondary time.
Typically I would say Thursday is good for me in that regard. This week specifically it isn't, I have a lot of things going on up through Sunday. However, I wouldn't be opposed to using Thursday night as a backup, normally.
I know Raven runs a Pathfinder game on Thursday, however, but I'm not sure of the hours or if he can multi-task. If he doesn't respond here I'll pester him elsewheres to find out if that works.
How would Thursday be for everyone else?
Female Human (Boring Subtype) Technomancer (2)/Freelancer (1)
I mean, as long as it's not a regular thing, I don't mind occasionally running on Thursdays. The hours this game runs and the hours my other game run overlap by about an hour, but I don't really see much issue in that unless both games are engaged in combat in that time frame. The day of my game also fluxuates a little depending on some people schedules - this week it was going to be on Wednesday, so I was already prepared to double up.
I'm wiling to give anything a shot. If we play on Thursdays, though, I might end up kinda slow in the last hour. If no one else has a problem with that, neither do I.
The only other real problem in those situations is having to share the MUSH between two playerbases, but I've already added rooms to it exactly to accommodate that situation.
Thursdays I may need to leave at 6:30, but I may be able to finagle what happens Thursday to Wednesday if that is the case.
Same time on Thursday works for me.
Ok, Biatz does not have a spell-like ability, that was replaced with his claws.
I won't be able to make it tonight. Haven't gotten any sleep in the last few days and when I get home it's the first thing I plan on doing. Extensively. Sorry about that, hope to catch you next week.
Provided everyone else is still coming we'll still be doing this tonight. If not, then tomorrow is our backup. I will be logging in to roll20.net when I get home under the assumption we'll be good to go.
Female Human (Boring Subtype) Technomancer (2)/Freelancer (1)
I have to head out and do some errands. I should be back well before gametime, but in case I'm not the MUSH is already up and ready to go.
Tonight's session log: Here!
Sorry about that. I got home at five and then slept for about 16 hours. And I'm still exhausted. I'll definitely make the next one though and I'll read the log the moment the room stops spinning.
Rest up, man, and feel better!
Ah yes. The 16 hour sleep. If you do it enough, eventually your body gets use to it. I don't suggest it though. It really throws any semblance of a sleep schedule off.
Hey guys need to switch to Thursday this week. I forgot that I have to attend a dinner for a friend of mine who is shipping out to Afghanistan this month. Hope Thursday at our usual time works okay!
Augh. I forgot Thursday is Valentine's day. I think this week might be a wash due to my schedule. I'm sorry guys, but there's a little lady who would probably not be too thrilled with me if I spent Valentine's day ignoring her for three hours!
Female Human (Boring Subtype) Technomancer (2)/Freelancer (1)
I was just about to ask about that too, since it occurred to me this morning. No worries, dude! Shit happens.
Oh thank goodness. I was just about to post that I have a stomach virus and was going to miss this one too. >.< Glad I won't miss a second game!
I'm afraid I'll have to be "that guy" again and miss tonight's session; I have a prior commitment that I overlooked. I'm sorry again, but on the bright side I can all-but-guarantee that this is the last session I'll have to miss for the next few months.
I'm good to go this week, so expect to start at our usual time (sans Kas). There will likely be some combat this week, so I will need to NPC-control Kas during it.
Female Human (Boring Subtype) Technomancer (2)/Freelancer (1)
I MAY be a little bit late, but nothing to delay starting over. The MUSH is already up and running so no worries there.
Male Gnoll Ranger (Shapeshifter) 1
For those curious, Karrn's battle-chant in the encounter tonight translates roughly as "Now comes the slaughter, a killing spree, a vicious beast of the Walker. The madness and turmoil swell up inside, innocence devoured by howls. A wolf doesn't care how many the sheep may be."
Kasimira: For reference, she had to use 7 charges from the wand of Cure Light Wounds that Gideon gave her tonight to heal the injured.
Total XP awarded tonight: 360xp
