Nice song, Grobnar. Is it original?
I have to check myself with this number of players - I think that everyone has posted because lots of players have, then I double-check and realise that only 5 or 6 have.
Grobnar Spinfoodle

Yes that is indeed one of my many tunes.
Any way just to give you lot an idea as to what Grobnar is supposed to look like found a few pics to help you picture it.
His hat would like something like that but a little more fancy with a blue plume like Jarlaxe's if you know what his looks like.
Grobnar would look something like this pic but with slightly more ridiculous clothing if you know what I mean.

Grobnar - I look forward to justifying a reason to find a rhyme for Jobo that is not hobo - now I need to convince the DM that your song inspired Jobo to such an extent that he gets at least the equivalent of a bless spell on the morrow (don't worry, the player is inspired sufficiently that I will be on my A game). My next plan is to create the impression that a mullet haircut gives a +1 bonus on any intimidate rolls.

It looks like I will be busy tomorrow, shopping for Christmas presents at a store 3 hours away, and may not be able to post. I've a few more hours tonight, then it will be about 24 hours before I can reliably access internet.
I may be able to answer questions, clarify things etc, but don't expect a major development tomorrow.
The next day, however...
I hope you are all still interested enough and enjoying it. I am trying to keep up the pace of the game. I hate it when you wait days for a GM post.

Wareagle, I know you are busy and left you an out to let someone else lead the elf team. Sorry everyone else for posting cross game.
But while on the subject, still chosing up sides in elves versus dwarves.
As an "old schooler" I thank OberonViking for the inspiration to limit the builds to what I know and can manage best. No paladin gunslingers or siege gun mages for me.

Phone charger found :)
That's a shame Wulfrid. If it helps my experience has been that campaigns seem to slow a little after the first few days.

That has been my experience too. I've deliberately tried to keep this moving fast whilst everyone was still excited. I'm hoping that this helps players to develop their character's personality more, and develop more long term interest in the game.
I've been on the wrong end of a few PbP games that have completely stalled. I'm determined to not be another one of those GMs.

A PbP moving too fast? Thanks OberonViking for moving the action along.
I should've stated up front that I intended to keep it fast.
You are inspiring me to keep things fast in my own campaign. Now how do I connect the discussion and gameplay threads; it can 't be too hard?
I think it asked me to choose a thread or create a new one when I selected it from the 'tabs' at the top of the page. IIRC

BTW, I'm back on the boards after shopping. We bought a fabulous Collector's doll house for my (about to turn) 12 y.o.
*turns to Gameplay to see if he can move things along. Hmmm, should wait for some player responses first.*

Are you waiting for Grobnar? I think there's only 7 of us now and we've all posted since the last big GM post.
Drakr is hankering to test out his martial skills! Lol

HOUSE RULE:
Condition: Flanked. When two or more opponents are flanking you in melee, you are Flanked. Anyone who attacks you gains the benefits of attacking a Flanked creature (+2 to hit, Sneak Attacks).
Thus, when three people are attacking one, and two of them are on opposite sides of the foe (as per normal Flanking rules) all three gain the benefits of flanking.
Furthermore, should two or more Melee Smashy Heroes have one Monster flanked, the Sneaky Ranged Hero also benefits from the Flanking, though s/he must still apply the normal Shooting into Melee(-4 to attack) and Soft Cover (gains +4 AC) rules (and any other as is appropriate).
I am trying to not have too many house rules. Really. But Flanking bugs me.

I use this many times a day.
Thanks to Kip84 for pointing this out to me after many months of using these boards.

Jobo will push the boundaries with Lorelei - is he over yet? is he close?
Given his intelligence, I doubt Jobo will know that he's close to a boundary until he's already past it and has been slapped. Should be really fun to rp, so keep pushing. :)

Now seems a perfect use of the wand, Lorelei. I do not want your first combat action to have to be always spent buffing when you could be doing that cool mage stuff. But it is great for the "just before we open the door type thing". Plus Jobo can't count to 50 so you need to track the charges.
| Jobo |
I saw that--I was commenting on why you chose the perfect time. I did not intend the wand to detract much from your ability to throw spells. If we have a series of two round combats where you enlarge as your first action, I would feel bad.
A glaive weilding enlarged barbarian will give you great defense, but will scare off other prospective suitors.

Bah, he'll just scare off the ones that would just waste my time. Anyone truly determined to court me wouldn't let a giant barbarian stand in his way. You're like a test. :)

There is only the one map. I know that the images are the last thing to load, so if you have slow internet, or if there is a delay they won't show up.
Or if you are on an Apple portable product I have found that you need to tell it to Go To Spreadsheet View, which is on the top left of the screen.

Damn you apple! Feel my wrath! CRUNCH* nom nom nom nom nom... *the sound if a crisp juicy apple being bitten.
Posted from one of my apple portable products :)

Damn you dice roller! Lines virtual dice up in particular way that is sure to bring luck for the remainder of the encounter...

Jobo channels the god POWERGAMER. He feels he can channel this god when two complimentary combat powers stack up. He feels the song of all that is great about combat in his bones as he stacks up three complimentary effects-rage,reach and enlarge.
I think of Led Zeppelin's 'Immigrant Song' playing in the background'
POWERGAMER was worshipped by a cabal in Jobo's tribe over thirty years ago. This cabal of academics gathered in their ancestors basements, ate pies with cheese and sauce, and cast their lots with many cubes of differing sizes and complexity. This cabal died off due to poor nutrution and an inability to compete with many warriors for mates due to their lack of social graces and physical strength.

Since Wulfrid is dropping does that mean he is an npc or can one of us take up playing him or is his character just gone now or what.
I hadn't thought about those options. I was going to just have him fade from memory. Pretend he never came along.
That was part of the reason for starting with such a large group.
