The door on the right hand side of the Eastern hallway open into....

An iron cage dangles from the ceiling in one corner of this 20 X 30 rectangular chamber. Trapped inside are two enormous beetles that shed a hellish light. The room’s furnishings include a large bed covered with animal hides, its corner posts shaped like dwarven sentinels. Next to the bed sits an iron trunk with claw-shaped feet and four chains bolted to its sides. The four chains end in shackles....

From the corners of the room two roiling waves of flesh gushes forward. Amid the fatty surge wriggle half-formed limbs and a dripping tumorous face.

The least of devilkind, lemures roil forth from the ranks of souls damned to Hell, shapeless masses of quivering flesh. What spark of instinct or memory lingers on within a lemure's semi-consciousness regularly shapes its features to mimic those of its tormentors or the tortured souls around it. Grotesque and useless, a lemure's features speak nothing of what it once was. Many exhibit multiple terrible visages or are nothing more than churning pillars of cancerous flesh. Only their knobby, flailing limbs work as they should, and those they merely use to destroy any non-infernal life that draws too near. Moving lemures typically congeal in forms over 4 feet tall and weigh upward of 200 pounds, though when at rest these disgusting fiends often appear to be little more than lumps of melted flesh and malformed features.

Canvy scores a hit on the first creature oozing out of the corner closest to the door....He peirces it deeply but part of the mass seems to close up DR 5/...

Edrukk also lands a solid blow against the disgusting lump of flesh, with pus leaking from the wound.

The Creature reaches Canvy and makes an attack clawing at Canvy with the claws at the end of its deformed arms....

Missing with both attacks.

Broccan comes in with his sword sinking into the creature and causing only minimal damage.....

She moves into view, trying to stay behind one of the warriors. "Servisen!" the gnome says. Her eyes glow as she stares angrily at the devil. A wisp of smoke flies from her mouth and at her target's eyes...and then appears to dissipate. "BE STILL, FOUL ABOMINATION!" she shouts.
Casting Command. Save DC 16 or do nothing for one round.

Minniwick throws a fire bomb at the distant lemure just as Erine attempts to slow it down.......

The fire has no effect on the lemure nor does the spell......

Edrukk will try to maneuver for eventual flank. If there's no way to move around the creature this round, he will take a 5' step to get partway there.

Not sure if Minniwick can do the open locks thing...otherwise its back to brute strength and ignorance to open the chest...if we want to do that??...Just remembered, even if you don't canvy definitely will want to...could be treasure in there.

Uses 2 Visions of Madness to increase skill (strength) check by +1, -1 to attack and saves all for 3 rounds.

Canvy looks at his companions, disappoint etched over his face, "All that for a measly 6 gold coins." After taking any breakables out of the chest, he tips the rest out onto the floor, hoping for more trinkets of gold and such. He starts bashing inside the bottom and sides of the chest, "All that for so little, there must be some secret place in here somewhere." In a rage he tries to disassemble the chest, grumbling all the time about its lack of riches.

This bandoleer holds six pouches along its length and a satchel at the hip. Each pouch has a stiff leather flap that can be secured against jostling with a clasp (requiring a move action to open or close) or left unfastened for easier access. The pouches and satchel each contain a number of loops and ties for further securing equipment. The sash buckles at the shoulder, and can be freed with a sharp tug in an emergency as a move action.

Canvy smashes the chest freeing a small diamond from the deep corner of the chest likely left behind from some other treasure trove....
