Yeah, I have two levels to figure out! Cleave is a strong contender at the moment, but I need to make a second selection thanks to my eighth-level bonus feat. I can't take Improved Critical yet - I was going to before my misunderstanding regarding my BAB was cleared up.
That's not a problem, I will look the other way and you can just do it...

S'all right, I have some other things I need to take care of because of my error in the build. Weapon Focus (greatsword) and Cleave, nice and simple.
With a possible correction depending on KK's answer, I believe Edrukk is ready to roll, all shiny and new.

Then he's all ready to go. If and when that greatsword of his connects, it's going to leave a mark on something or someone. Next purchase might be an adamantine version for the making of doors where we want them...

For some reason the SCAP hardcover has this as a battle, or I just can't find anything else.....
Oh and by the way, we are getting close to wrapping this one up. So again anyone who wants to give me feedback on posts, formatting, suggestions, etc....feel free to let me have it.

Hey Guys, I need to give you all a heads up:
My landlord decided to sell the house I am currently renting, so I have been given 30 days to vacate.
My family and I have to locate and secure a new place to live, pack, and move within that time period, and to put it mildly, I’m pretty stressed at the moment.
I have no intention of dropping out of the game, but my post rate may be limited until I can get everything back in order.
I will try to check in and post as much as I can, but if you find yourselves waiting on me to do something, please bot my character, as needed, to keep the story line moving. Hopefully once the storm passes, I will be able to jump back in with full enthusiasm.

That sucks, my LandLord is taking possession of my rental as well but at least he gave us until the lease is over to find a new place to live.
Good luck!

It's been many years, but the week that it was determined that my work contract would not renew in three months, my landlord called to say he was terminating the lease for my rental early. I had two weeks to get out and find a house to live in for the last ten weeks of my work contract. In a tiny town where rentals were few and I knew there was no job waiting, the last thing I wanted to do was start a new one-year lease.
I'm a pretty easy-going type of person, but I held a special hate for that landlord for many, many years. I'm finally over it, I'm happy to say.
Hang in there, Broccan. There's light at the end of the tunnel, just be patient and it will come into view.

Thanks, guys. Honestly, you're well-wishes mean a lot. Right now, the missus and I are trying our best to keep a positive attitude and hope that we'll find a solution before the sands run out.

Don't stop the game on my account. I will still make every effort to participate - I just wanted you guys to know if you didn't hear from me for a few days, this was probably the reason. Also, I wanted to make sure you knew that Botting me in order to move the story along was perfectly okay.

No worries Big B, it is a combat and those can take some time....
On a side note, I was about to introduce a major NPC, but fortunately I was able to convince someone to take on the role of this NPC and make him even more interesting!
So he will technically be a PC.
KenderKin |
And thus concludes the Demonskar legacy.....
Let me check with my PC/NPC and see if he is ready to go.
Feel free to do last rites or take any gear from Sir Alek that you might need.....
Also be aware that a Heal spell or similar magic administered right away could still save the paladin's life.....
I feel like we will be able to get going right after the July 4th holiday....
Oh no your all alone......

Just have to say, I hate railroad scenes. We buffed hard and hit hard but it's pretty clear that there was only one way that scenario was going to play out, with Sir Alec dead, the demon surviving, and the lot of us teleported to some unknown location.
We are not of high enough level to have access to "heal or similar magic" and our primary healer has already said he's tapped out.
At least we can rest and regain spells and daily uses of abilities. It feels like it's been ages since we could do so.
KenderKin |
What Sir Alek is alive? You are in the same location as the last battle took place, the mirrors that brought you there turned dark, maybe with no one on the other side to activate them.
Railroad! That is a dirty word, though I admit I did not write the AP, so.....
Alkaid
That is worth a shot!
Edrukk Thorvirgun |
I did not mean to accuse you of designing the scene; I was pretty sure you were playing it as written. But I do find it distasteful when it is so blatantly "nothing you do here will affect the outcome."
Having Sir Alek survive is a nice surprise. Well done, Alkaid. I have some spontaneous healing spells available but forgot they were an option as a warpriest.
At least two CSW are available. I will have to do a hard count of my spells for the day to be sure what else is available.
Family's here, gotta go.
KenderKin |
Still a tiny bit more to happen.
Four possibilities in the as written.
1. You lose, Sir Alek dies
2. You lose, Sir Alek lives
3. You win the demon offers a wish if you let him kill SA
4. You win, sir Alek lives and you get a wish
But you would need to dimensional anchor the demon and pound him into submission......

A start of a suggestion: Sir Alek alive, with us. We are in unknown desert. Route home unknown. That's a start and still has 12 words available. What's most important to tell our magical allies? Do we mention the beholder or sign of the smoking eye or cages or any of that yet?
Should we reset daily abilities and spells?

A god start, I think we should interact wit Alek a bit first and ferret out what the beholder, smoking eye and the cages all mean so those parts, if we send them, impart the best knowledge available.
Edrukk Thorvirgun |
The spell response doesn't allow for a lot of time to reply.
I debated trying to tell them about the beholder, too. That would only be two more words.
KenderKin |
Just a heads up. I am going to give you guys the option of keeping Sir Alek or him being extricated away from you via magic.
So it will be up to the group to decide.
From Sir Alek's perspective he has a debt to you and also would like a chance to make a difference in Cauldron itself. So he will be fine either way.
And I am very excited about someone else running a new PC for the game.
Kythel of Nisroch |
I think we should keep him until we return to Cauldron then he can be the new Mayor :-)
I'll take a job as the City spiritual advisor!
