Sorry I've not been posting much, but there's very little I can do in this situation.

Can you give us a combat summary at the end of the all this so that we can figure out where we are at?

Happy Holidays to all!

Happy Holiday... Lets hope we don't all die!
| GM Irish202 |
Just to give a heads up, I am actively giving COVID vaccines at nursing homes in my area for the next month; which may impact my ability to post regularly.
Because this will also realistically greatly increase my potential exposure, there is a possibility that something may happen to my health that may prevent me from posting (leaving that open ended to not jinx myself). In the possible event that I cease posting, please reach out to my email that I use for my VL duties below. Either myself or a family member will confirm my availability with that contact.
Sorry to be slightly morbid, but life is weird currently. Feel free to resume normal gameplay chaos!

Please take care of yourself/your family and stay safe.
As much as I enjoy this game, it's nothing compared to the literally life saving work you are doing.
And THANK YOU.
Those of us lucky enough to be able to hide at home appreciate all you do to protect these most vulnerable.

Stay safe and best of luck, GM Irish!

Well now, You guys seem to be doing well these days.
How are you, friends?
Locke "Firebug" Arkham
|
Ery!!
There's been an exchange in the team's composition, evidently.
Gwen's taken time off to manage her inn, and Fiona is probably busy keeping her company.
Big sis Tereze is still keeping everyone safe.
But we're up against that infamous green dragon and all three lieutenants right now.
How have you been?
Eryzule, Lord of Tea
|
I've been well. Life's in a much better place these days.
I had noticed Fiona and Gwen went their own ways it seems, glad to see you and Tereze are still in.
Noticed you have a battle turtle knight, a swishy-swashbuckler and an Evangelist sorcerer.
Finally big-D time, eh? Only took the group near 5 years. Lol. Glad to see it nearing its climax.
If you guys need a Whitty tea-elf again, id rejoin if a slot was available.
Surviving Covid, I see. And your GM is manning the front line, Damn.
Tereze Amnell

We miss you Lord of Tea!
Hope things have been going well for you in RL.
It's been a crazy year, but Locke and I are keeping the spirit alive.
Eryzule, Lord of Tea
|
So I've been told. I've miss you guys too.
Look at you go, from what i've lurked, this team is awesome.
Eryzule, Lord of Tea
|
Ha. Maybe so.

I don’t know, is Melisandre is into plants? ;)
As for me: ya surviving Covid describes it. I’ve spent way too many hours this year trying to juggle long hours at work, helping multiple kids with remote school, (including having to relearn geometry, uggg) and playing IT for the home system internet that was never supposed to support 6 video calls at once.
So I’m glad this year is almost over and we can hopefully get back to normal in 6 months.
And yes Ery, we would love to have you back after this. It’s been far too easy keeping everyone safe without your antics. Dare I say Tereze is starting to get bored

I don’t know, is Melisandre is into plants? ;)
Only if they have interesting side effects...
Eryzule, Lord of Tea
|
Ery is an interesting side effect.
I believe they can be friends.
Locke "Firebug" Arkham
|
Well....
Guys, what are your thoughts on strategy.
For the moment, Testudo is holding the bottleneck, but are we all taking the corridor towards Kegan, or devide?
Perhaps NL planting an arrow in his backside wakes him up, i'm not sure.

Standard Fascination condition from CRB:
Fascinated: A fascinated creature is entranced by a supernatural or spell effect. The creature stands or sits quietly, taking no actions other than to pay attention to the fascinating effect, for as long as the effect lasts. It takes a –4 penalty on skill checks made as reactions, such as Perception checks. Any potential threat, such as a hostile creature approaching, allows the fascinated creature a new saving throw against the fascinating effect. Any obvious threat, such as someone drawing a weapon, casting a spell, or aiming a ranged weapon at the fascinated creature, automatically breaks the effect. A fascinated creature's ally may shake it free of the spell as a standard action.
Now this isn’t a standard fascination condition (I wouldn’t normally move under fascination) but still it should be relatively easy to end.
Note that I believe it requires line of sight.
Melisande Shahrizai Courcel

Given that I can see Kegan by peeking around the doorway, I assume I can tell he is fascinated as he's just following the naga into the room? Should I just hit him with a magic missile from here, sending the others at the naga?
Kegan the Chaotic
|
| 1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Burning Hands or an Alchemist Fire from someone other than Locke would be best if you are doing damage. Kegan would get fast healing if hit with fire damage, even if it didn’t get past his Fire Resistance.
Magic Missile does have the advantage of range though.
Melisande Shahrizai Courcel
|
It would be three rounds before I could get into position to hit him with Burning Hands, and I don't think I have an Alchemist Fire. I have my action coming up, so I'll just split my missiles, one at Kegan and the remainder at the Naga, so should just be 1d4+1, if that's ok with you. Given the PFS prohibition on PVP, I do need you to say ok to hitting you with it.
Kegan the Chaotic
|
I believe this is being played in Campaign Mode, in which case I do not believe the normal PFS prohibitions apply.
In any case, yes I’m willing to accept being the target of a Magic Missile.
Tereze Amnell
|
Ahhh. I was going to use my summon to try to do something like this.
Glad you can do it faster.
Kegan the Chaotic

I will update in a few hours when I’m at a full computer.

Hopefully given you enough time with the web to not die?

For anyone who can't log in clearing the Web cache on the browser worked for me.

This may be a silly question, but did Testudo ever Challenge the dragon? Probably should have challenged the Groithe as well.
Also, here is a more complete post describing how to work around the Error with Signing In problem.

**Surfaces from the pile of website issues with a gasp**
Welcome back, everyone.
This may be a silly question, but did Testudo ever Challenge the dragon? Probably should have challenged the Groithe as well.
Hmm, now that would have been nice to have going, wouldn't it? Maybe we can get that going next turn.
| GM Irish202 |
Hello all! Just got back from a weekend trip out of town, will have a post coming up this evening.
While waiting, wanted to ask for general opinions on the following rules question:
What happens when a swarm of wasps flies through a web spell?
-Are they subject to the spell, completely, immune to the grappling effect, or partially affected?
-Would it be difficult terrain for them?
-Is this the poor mage's fly paper?
Kegan the Chaotic
|
Swarm subtype, Bestiary, pg 313
“Also, they cannot be tripped, grappled, or bull rushed, and they cannot grapple an opponent.”
The effects of web for failed save and attempting to move through it are grappled. Swarms are immune to this effect. It does not matter what they roll for the reflex/CMB/Escape Artist since they are immune to the condition that would be caused on a failure.
Since it is a swarm of flying creatures, it is not hampered by the difficult terrain.
CRB, pg. 193 “Flying and incorporeal creatures are not hampered by difficult terrain.”

I have Grease which would give you a better chance to get out, but I can't see you because of the Pyrotechnics cloud and would be a double move for me to get to a place to be able to. I'll put myself in a position to possibly be able to help next round, if you are still here...
