I get to choose from a blunderbuss, musket, or pistol I'm toying with the idea of a musket, but there is a pistol archetype that I may go for instead. They cost 1000gp+, so I have to choose wisely. My first one is free!

Off to a good start. Really enjoying the great roleplaying.

First little thing. Notice how Heff and Ulric have additional info in the grey text line under there name. You can type that kind of pertinent data on your profile page under any of 1) gender 2) Race 3) Classes/levels. The info will appear in that order.

Please go ahead and enter the same info as Heff and/or Ulric.

Also, how do I roll my save and such on here, and Also how do I bold my words for when Throck speaks?

There is a little box down at the bottom of the box you type in called:

How to format your text, just click show

That will show you examples.

Almost everything you do involves using brackets [] to tell the messageboard what you want to do. And when you are done you use [/]

For example to bold you would type:

bracket b bracket What you want to say bracket /b bracket

Use actually use brackets not the word, then you will get this

What you want to say

To roll you type

Descriptor can be whatever you want

bracket dice=Descriptor bracket 1d20 + 2 bracket /dice bracket

then it will look like this

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

for out of character use ooc and /ooc, again surround by brackets.

The name's Dimble. Dimble son of Groin. Sort of a silly name, but I'd recommend you don't poke fun at it. A cook by trade, but when you're raised in a series of bars you tend to learn to look after yourself. Let's just say I enjoy a good scuffle now and then. And a pint or three at the same time

What is FF and T?

FF = Flat Footed AC and T = Touch AC.

If that is Dimble's intro to the rest of the party you might want to cut and paste it into the GamePlay tab (at the top). :-)

Now we are just waiting on our Arcanist I think :)

Love the characters so far!! I'll have to work on helping Kaden with posting (and update my stats on my post). I'm up in Akron for work today and date night with Lydia tonight. Unless Justin can help Kaden, it may be this weekend before Kaden's on.
So far, the PbP format is really fun. Can't wait to shoot something! ;0P

I love this group its a ruff and gruff group!

Any suggestions on weapons and armor? Dimble has simple weapons and light armor. I was thinking battleaxe and leather. The hero lab said anything with dwarven in the name was usable but it seems you are still limited to the simple weapon rule. So can't do dwarven great axe or long axe/hammer. Thoughts?

Hello! This is Kaden. I have switched from an arcanist to a magus. Hopefully should be done soon to start off our adventure. Should be a fun and cool character.

trying out skill roll mechanics. Haven't fully created character yet, so the +3 is a guess on my bonus
linguistics: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

For the armor, leather is good, but a high dex bonus is probs a good idea for boosting your AC. For weapons, as a brawler, your unarmed strike is the way to go, because it does more or equal damage than most weapons in the close and simple weapon group. It might be a good idea to have other weapons like a short sword to deal different types of weapon damage. But if Mr. Harris says you can use dwarves weapons, then go ahead and use those:)

Hey Kaden go ahead and post to the game play thread and read and get caught up when your ready. Also Magus's are awesome are you going strength or dervish dance? I personally like dervish dance high dex boosts your AC. Plus you are using a scimitar so a great crit range and you can use your arcane pool to make it keen. So 15-20 crit!!

Matt I think the brawler is more of a punching guy not for sure I would ask Mr. Justin he played one at David-Con. At second lvl you get the brawlers flurry, it says you can use weapons or unarmed. I would however use a light off-handed weapon so your bonus to hit does not get docked to bad. So you could use your two fists, a battle axe and a fist. I would probably go for leather as far as armor goes.

Guys I'll post what's in the journal a little bit later. It's quiet a bit of stuff, so will require a bit of time. So stay tuned!

I just found out I can access the message boards from my work computer. So far, my daytime posts have been difficult since i was using my iPhone. Now I can type!! This will be dangerous.. :0)

Finally got my stats loaded to the block. I'll load Kaden's and then he will post. Do we add the Ability scores too? I'd like to know the kind of people we're dealing with. I suppose we can always just post to this thread?

You can loaded up your profile page with all kinds of info or even link a hero lab pdf on Google drive. Click on my name then go to alias tab and look how I set up Boswick or Evad.

I have finally finished my character. Here's my stats :)

Str:13 Dex:19 Con:12 Int:16 Wis:8 Cha:7

I did a similar build with my Magus, I did str 13 dex 18 con 14 int 16 wis 7 cha 7.

I am guessing you did dervish dance magus because that is what I am going for

Here are my stats:
Str: 16 Dex:14 Con: 20 Int: 7 Wis: 8 Cha: 5

So far, not a very charismatic group! lol

Hey, sometimes you've got to have a non-talk group. That way we can not waste our intellect on what to say, we just use it on what to hit:)

If you all could link you character sheets or type the info in one your profile page. It helps me when I need to make a quick reference, that IRL game I would just ask you real quick.

Like what weapon are you attacking with, stuff like that.

Would my speed be only 20 because I'm a dwarf or because I'm wearing leather armor. Seemed slower than I would have expected?

Yes dwarves only have a base speed of 20 ft.

If no one minds, after Webs is complete, Dimble is going to move to the sidelines, and Matt will go behind the screen and give GMing the game a try. You all will be joined by a new mystery ally in a day or 2. Any objections?
