Ok, we're as far as I can go without rolling Sidney's Reflex for him, which I'm loathe to do; rolling dice is really only one of two things PCs get to do in PbP, so I'd rather leave it for you all to do whenever possible.

Having noted that, I hope you're all enjoying things so far today. Please don't worry too much about my descriptions of taking damage; I'm just mixing it up, and there's no statistic damage or maiming going on in these hits, I just like to describe combat.

Aw man, was going to suggest a Schrodinger's Cat Sorcerer type of scenario... where his dead or alive state could be revealed later... as either way he was on the ground and out of the fight...

But realized his bloodline gives him 5 Fire resistance... so if he makes the save, he's still standing and if he fails, he's out but alive... so it no longer works as a comparison.

Quantum mechanics doesn't get us going any faster after all! =)

I would have loved that, but I saw he was a sorcerer and a draconic one, and thought, "I should double check, I bet he took the most common resistance ...annnnnnd, yep." Which left me realizing we had to wait for him to pop in.

Doesn't look like he's posted anything since last month, when he posted to say he was away for the holidays.

So did I, yesterday. I suggest we don't wait past this week. We've just gotten back on track and I'd like to keep it that way.

As I said, I'm loathe to take his action for him, but at the least, I am happy to address this by taking a single round for him-- I'll simply state he makes his saving throw and then proceed to have him retreat from the horned ape outsider. That way, we can progress at least one more rotation of events and hopefully get him engaged while being considerate of the rest of you.

I don't see a policy set in any of your posts, and I've not had to deal with such a situation in the past. I'll state that should any of you remain absent for a full week, I'll take a reasonable action for you, unless you designate another player at the table to do so. Is this acceptable to the rest of the table?

A week? The most common pbp policy I've seen, is 24 hours... with some leeway on weekends.
A week waiting for a post is how these games die.

But ya, if he withdraws north, along the wall, he won't even provoke, so seems the obvious direction to get out of harms way, assuming he's conscious.

I just had a quick look at his main alias (Chainmail).
No way can I even touch him for number of posts.
So he's been around the Paizo forums rather a lot, I'd say.

So I'm thinking he should be back soon.
