"I think we should go dispatch them," Sarephta says. Perhaps we should send someone in behind a big shield or any other protection we can provide to draw their fire," she suggests.
"Any other ideas?"
I can cast Shield of Faith on any volunteers! :)

Can I try another perception check?
Vanya keeps scanning the room for traps, secret passages or hidden treasure:"There must be something we don't see here somewhere..."[/ooc]
Perception check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Revvy Bitterleaf

Yes, the perception skill allows you to retry; "Yes. You can try to sense something you missed the first time, so long as the stimulus is still present." so as far as I know you can try unlimited times until you no longer want to look at it
After taking a second look around the room Vanya notices a previously hidden panel in the obelisk that radiates heat.
Sarephta Nigh
|
Seeing her companions lingering in the last room, Sarephta returns to join them.
I thought we'd already searched this place...
She moves next to Vanya and looks at the secret panel.
"Good find...open it!" the aasimar suggests.
Vanya Kaleth
|
There's something clearly at work here but... whatever! ;P
Vanya checks the panel for traps before trying to open it:"Careful there... this place has proven itself quite challangening till now and I doubt things will be different in a place with strange obelisks around..."
Perception check: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Before opening the panel Vanya searches for traps

Out of curiosity, can you flank with a reach weapon?

"Aaaaaannnd.... CALLED IT!" shrugs Vanya avoiding the elemental's thrust. "So... what do we do with you my fiery friend" as she finishes Vanya slashes at the creature with her scimitar!

Belka hits the elemental with a cut from her great axe
Pokey fires his musket twice, but the agile fire elemental is able to dodge one of the bullets
@Sareptha, Yes. As long as you threaten opposing sides, your can flank, this seems to include reach
Sareptha manages to hit the elemental as well.
And the feat is shortly there after duplicated by Vanya

@Zarunkumar; Seems a bit of a waste to throw the dagger: If the dagger leaves your hand for more than 1 round, it melts and the spell ends
Zarunkumar is just to about the throw a very, very cold dagger at the elementa when Sareptha's spear passes in front of her line of sight and messes up her aim causing her to miss.

Out of combat
Just need a DC 14 reflex save from Vanya, or she will be on fire and continue to burn for one mor round round with another DC 14 reflex save as a full round action or take fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
The panel is open and you can see a red gem lying inside it. When you cast detect magic it shows up as being magical..but you didn't take it out yet.
Sarephta Nigh

Sarephta moves to Vanya and sprays her down with water. create water...not sure if that can put out the fire or give her a bonus on her reflex?
Revvy Bitterleaf
|
I think (not 100% sure, but rolling with it for you) you create enough water to put out the fire..so Vanya will catch fire but then Sareptha will put it out before it continues to do damage
And to keep things moving forward..if you want to take the gem out..dex check (or sleight of hand if you have it) to take it out without touching anything else
Sarephta Nigh

Sarephta taps Vanya with her wand. "You took some damage there, but should be just fine," she says reassuringly.

Going to work on the assumption that you are for the skeletons now
Just to repeat room description:
Two ornate wooden chariots sit upon platforms in this chamber, positioned as if ready to charge across the desert sands outside, though no mounts are harnessed to their yokes. The chamber’s walls are carved in relief with scenes of charioteering, racing, and war.
Pokey uses his wand to make sure he will have enough ammo for the upcoming fight (I assume)
As you walk into the room to start taking care of the skeletons they notice you and move to attack.

About Vanya standing in front.. since Gwinthyr and the tiger are gone for now..that leaves Pokey - ranged, Sareptha, with a reach weapon...Belka who's already in front and 2 casters..seemed like the most logical choice to have Vanya as the second front liner..but feel free to come up with a different order for the next room
Sareptha moves closer drawing a club and smashes through one of the skeletons
Pokey fires his musket twice and hits hit 2 target in the skull shattering his second target in a spray of bone powder..but dropping both
