If the check pertains Osirion's Religion or History you can add a +5 competence bonus to the check. Once used cross this boon off your chonicle sheet. -Koboldfriend, You negotiated a truce between the Pathfinder Society and Yiddlepode of the Sewer Dragon tribe. When worn about your neck (occupying the neck magic item slot), the token grants you a +2 bonus on all Diplomacy checks with humanoids of the reptilian subtype. -Friend of the Yagevna, The Yagevna family in Irrisen recognizes you as a close associate for freeing their daughter, Natalya, from her icy prison. When in Irrisen, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus on all diplomacy rolls when you mention the Yagevna family and how you assisted them. -Changing Circumstances, you may use this boon at the end of an adventure to replace one of your 2 starting traits for a faction trait belonging to your faction. You cannot have more than 1 faction trait. When you use this boon cross it off your chronicle's sheet. -New Recruits, you might designate a new PFS PC under your PFS number who shares this character's faction as a new recruit. This additional training grants that character an additional trait that must be a faction trait although no character can have more than one faction trait. -Old Loyalties, reduce the prestige point cost of a vanity or prestige award by an amount equal to your total fame divided by 10. This cannot reduce the cost of a Vanity or Prestige Award below 0. When you use this boon remove it from your chronicle's sheet. -Draconic Sidekick, cross this boon of your chronicle's sheet and gain a preudodragon cohort that loyally follows you for one adventure. This pseudodragon's sting also bypasses DR/Silver and bypasses the norma limit of one combat creature per player per scenario. -Fortune's return, you gain the following 4 abilities: ○ Suit of Keys (Dexterity): Picking a lock ○ Suit of Shields (Constitution): Fortitude saves of constitution checks against fatigue or exhaustion ○ Suit of Stars (Wisdom): Avoid getting lost or otherwise navigating ○ Suit of Crowns (Charisma): Speaking to a person in a position of authority You may activate an ability by checking out the circle before it and gain a +1 luck bonus to an attack roll, saving throw, skill check or an ability check associated with the corresponding ability score. Apply the bonus before you roll. The bonus increases to +2 for the specific use listed near the ability's name. -○Belkzen Veteran: You can spend 2 PP to learn orc as a bonus language. In addition you can cross the box that precedes this boon to gain the benefits of the half-orc racial trait "orc ferocity" for 1 round. -○Martyr's Shard 1: As a free action you can check the box preceding this boon to grant a weapon you wield a +1 enhancement bonus (that does noty stack with other enhancement bonuses) and the ability to overcome DR and Regeneration as a cold iron good aligned weapon. Future MArtyr's Shard boons may unlock additional benefits. Any character with this boon can purchase an avenging dagger (120.604 gp, functions like an holy avenger sword but it's a dagger rather than a longsword) as though her effective fame were 10 higher. If this character has earned 2, 3 or all 4 Marthyr's Boon reduce the cost of an Avenging Dagger to 110.604gp, 100.604gp, or 90.604gp respectively. -○Scarred Champion: When you fail a saving throw against the spell or spell like ability of an undead creature you can check the box that precedes this boon to roll 1d6 and increase the saving throw result by that amount. If the bonus is enough to turn the failure into a success, the saving throw succeeds. This near-death experience leaves you with a hand sized scar somewhere on your body - A reminder of Vildeis' assistance. -○Frozen Fortitude: As a swift action, you can check the box that precedes this boon to gain cold resistance equal to 5 + your character level for 1 minute. You can activate this boon as an immediate action, but doing so grants you only cold resistance equal to your character level. Alternatively, if you have cold resistance as a result of a racial trait or class feature, you can check this box as a swift action to regain a number of hit points equal to your cold resistance; if you are immune to cold, you regain 30 hit points. -○Martyr’s Shard 2: As a free action, you can check the box that precedes this boon to grant one weapon you wield a +1 enhancement bonus (which does not stack with other enhancement bonuses) and the ability to overcome damage reduction and regeneration as per a cold iron, good aligned weapon for 1 minute. Future Martyr’s Shard boons may unlock additional benefits. Any character with this boon can purchase an avenging dagger (120,604 gp; functions as a holy avenger but is a dagger rather than a longsword) as though her effective Fame score were 10 higher. If this character has earned two, three, or all four Martyr’s Shard boons, reduce the cost of an avenging dagger to 110,604 gp, 100,604 gp, or 90,604 gp respectively. If you purchase an avenging dagger and later gain additional Martyr’s Shard boons that would reduce the price further, you gain additional gp equal to the difference between the two costs (as though you had purchased the dagger at the lower cost). -○Triumph Over Scales: You can spend 2 Prestige Points to learn Draconic as a bonus language. In addition, you can check the box that precedes this boon when you threaten a critical hit against a dragon or humanoid with the reptilian subtype to gain a +10 insight bonus on the attack roll to confirm the critical hit. Alternatively, you can check the box when a dragon or humanoid with the reptilian subtype would confirm a critical hit against you in order to gain the benefits of the heavy fortification armor special ability against that attack. -Blight Bane: As a swift action, you can challenge an animal, plant, or vermin creature that you can see, gaining special bonuses against that foe for a number of rounds equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum 1 round). You gain a +1 bonus on attack rolls against that foe, and your weapons and spells deal an additional 1d6 damage against it. The bonus on attacks and damage increase to +2 and 2d6 respectively if the creature also has the fiendish simple template. You can instead grant these benefits to an adjacent ally as a move action, using your Wisdom bonus to determine its duration. When you use this boon, cross it off your Chronicle sheet. -○Fangwood Purifier:You have vanquished the blighted infestation growing in part of the Fangwood, and in time the flora, fauna, and fey will recover. You can spend 2 Prestige Points to learn Sylvan as a bonus language. In addition, you can check the box that precedes this boon to attempt a wild empathy check (Pathfinder Core Rulebook 50) to influence an animal or magical beast, treating your character level as your druid level for this purpose. If you already have the wild empathy class feature or a similar ability, you can instead check the box to roll the check twice and take the higher result. -○Martyr’s Shard 3: The paladin Ivvora wielded a powerful dagger in service to her angelic patron, Vildeis. By helping cleanse the battlefield where she first earned Vildeis’s favor, you have secured that empyreal lord’s assistance in a time of need—particularly when battling evil. If you are a paladin or lawful good character capable of casting divine spells, as a free action you can check the box that precedes this boon to grant one weapon you wield a +1 enhancement bonus that stacks with the weapon’s existing enhancement bonus, if any (but not with similar additional enhancements, such as that granted by a paladin’s divine bond ability), and grant it the ability to overcome damage reduction of undead creatures for 1 minute. During this time, the weapon also grants you a +2 bonus on caster level checks to overcome the spell resistance of evil creatures. Otherwise, as a free action, you can check the box that precedes this boon to grant one weapon you wield a +1 enhancement bonus (which does not stack with other enhancement bonuses), and it grants you a +1 bonus on caster level checks to overcome the spell resistance of evil creatures for 1 minute. During this time, attacks with this weapon also ignore the first 5 points of damage reduction possessed by undead creatures. ○○○Blood and Courage: As long as your current hit point total is less than half your maximum hit points, you gain a +2 bonus on Intimidate checks against evil creatures and a +2 bonus on saving throws against fear. While benefiting from these bonuses, you can check one box that precedes this boon to demoralize all evil creatures in a 15-foot cone as a standard action. ○Empyreal Revenant: Nothing can keep you from achieving your goal. Within 3 rounds of dying, you can check the box that precedes this boon to begin slowly recovering, fueled by a combination of personal determination and supernatural vigor. During this time, you cannot be turned into an undead creature. After 1 minute, you are restored to life per raise dead with half your maximum hit points, gaining no negative levels in the process. If you died as a result of ability damage or drain, you either remove 8 points of that ability damage or remove enough ability drain to return that ability score to 8 (though no higher than your original ability score value). If you died as a result of negative levels, you remove a number of temporary negative levels equal to half your level (rounded up). At the end of the adventure, your relentless grip on life fails, your body collapses, and you die; this death is not the result of hit point loss and cannot be reversed by effects such as breath of life. The cost of any spellcasting service to restore you to life at the end of that adventure is reduced by 3 Prestige Points for each unique Martyr’s Shard boon this character has earned. If a PC casts a spell to restore you to life at the end of the adventure, instead reduce the material component cost by 1,000 gp for each unique Martyr’s Shard boon this character has earned. ○Martyr’s Shard 4: The paladin Ivvora wielded a powerful dagger in service to her angelic patron, Vildeis. During this time, attacks with this weapon also ignore the first 5 points of undead creatures’ damage reduction. Any character with this boon can purchase an avenging dagger (120,604 gp; functions as a holy avenger but a dagger rather than a longsword) as though her effective Fame score were 10 higher. Legend of Urglin: In a short period of time you claimed your place in the oral history of Urglin, and ores carry somewhat inconsistent but nonetheless positive stories of your exploits to other settlements in the region. You gain a +2 bonus on Charisma-based skill checks with ores in Varisia and any country that directly borders it. -IMPORTANT NOTE. Sunday 06/07/15, rebuilt Vanya from the normal rogue template to the unchained template as allowed by the free rebuilt option provided by Paizo. Event reported on chronicle sheet
Background:
To hear Vanya tell it, her story would be pretty simple: just another urchin from Oppara's streets who learnt to take care of herself and when she was old enough embarked for Absalom, showed promise and was accepted in the pathfinder's society.
While the tale could be partly correct, and brush truth here and there, the fact is the details of a tale well told are all that matters: Vanya omits the fact she was not always a street urchin, rather the privileged child of Opparan nobles who could not abandon their faith in Sarenrae and lost everything for it, including their daughter. One could also wonder at the fact a girl was able to survive alone in an environment as hard as the streets of Oppara. And although Vanya always was capable of taking care of herself that assessment would be correct: no child survives the streets without aid, and in Vanya's case the helpo came from an elder Lion Blade called Dimicus who for some reason helped keeping her alive and trained her with the knowledge she needed to survive, and later on even secured a passage for Absalom and admittance in the Pathfinder's Society as an apprentice...
Personality:
Vanya is sarcastic, direct and playful all at the same time. Her humor can change for no apparent reason and turn from the sweetest doe eyed lass to a fierce pirate girl ready to slit anyone's throat in the beat of an eyelash.
If this is an elaborate facade or just the sign of a personality prone to erratic behaviour no one can say for sure Appearance:
Vanya is quite tall for a girl, has shoulder length hair of the deepest black and a beautiful oval face that matches her dark eyes. She's quite the beauty but woe to the man who dares touch her against her wishes, he would find out how well her lean figure serves the purpose of slashing someone in the face with a dagger or a rapier... Character Sheet:
Vanya Kaleth
Sneak Attack: If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage.
Martial Training: At 1st level, the swashbuckler may select one martial weapon to add to her list of weapon proficiencies. In addition, she may take the combat trick rogue talent up to two times.
Finesse Training: At 1st level, a rogue gains Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat. In addition, starting at 3rd level, she can select any one type of weapon that can be used with Weapon Finesse (such as rapiers or daggers). Once this choice is made, it cannot be changed. Whenever she makes a successful melee attack with the selected weapon, she adds her Dexterity modifier instead of her Strength modifier to the damage roll. If any effect would prevent the rogue from adding her Strength modifier to the damage roll, she does not add her Dexterity modifier. The rogue can select a second weapon at 11th level and a third at 19th level. Dodge: You gain a +1 dodge bonus to your AC. A condition that makes you lose your Dex bonus to AC also makes you lose the benefits of this feat. Weapon Finesse: With a light weapon, elven curve blade, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category, you may use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier on attack rolls. If you carry a shield, its armor check penalty applies to your attack rolls. Blade of the Society: You gain a +1 trait bonus to damage rolls from sneak attacks. Fast Talker: You gain a +1 trait bonus on Bluff checks, and Bluff is always a class skill for you. Two weapon fighting: Your penalties on attack rolls for fighting with two weapons are reduced. The penalty for your primary hand lessens by 2 and the one for your off hand lessens by 6. See Two-Weapon Fighting. Mobility: You get a +4 dodge bonus to Armor Class against attacks of opportunity caused when you move out of or within a threatened area. A condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses. Evasion: At 2nd level and higher, a rogue can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If she makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if the rogue is wearing light armor or no armor. A helpless rogue does not gain the benefit of evasion. Rogue Talent (Minor Magic): A rogue with this talent gains the ability to cast a 0-level spell from the sorcerer/wizard spell list. This spell can be cast at will as a spell-like ability. The rogue's caster level for this ability is equal to her rogue level. The save DC for this spell is 10 + the rogue's Intelligence modifier. A rogue must have an Intelligence score of at least 10 to select this talent. Daring: At 3rd level, a swashbuckler gains a +1 morale bonus on Acrobatics checks and saving throws against fear. This bonus increases by +1 for every 3 levels beyond 3rd. This ability replaces trap sense. Debilitating Injury: At 4th level, whenever a rogue deals sneak attack damage to a foe, she can also debilitate the target of her attack, causing it to take a penalty for 1 round (this is in addition to any penalty caused by a rogue talent or other special ability). The rogue can choose to apply any one of the following penalties when the damage is dealt.
Uncanny Dodge: At 4th level, a rogue can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She cannot be caught flat-footed, nor does she lose her Dexterity bonus to AC if the attacker is invisible. She still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized. A rogue with this ability can still lose her Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses the feint action against her. If a rogue already has uncanny dodge from a different class, she automatically gains improved uncanny dodge instead. Rogue Talent (Major Magic): A rogue with this talent gains the ability to cast a 1st-level spell from the sorcerer/wizard spell list once per day as a spell-like ability for every 2 rogue levels she possesses. The rogue's caster level for this ability is equal to her rogue level. The save DC for this spell is 11 + the rogue's Intelligence modifier. A rogue must have the minor magic rogue talent and an Intelligence score of at least 11 to select this talent. Rogue’s Edge: At 5th level, a rogue has mastered a single skill beyond that skill’s normal boundaries, gaining results that others can only dream about. She gains the skill unlock powers for that skill as appropriate for her number of ranks in that skill. At 10th, 15th, and 20th levels, she chooses an additional skill and gains skill unlock powers for that skill as well.
Iron Will: You get a +2 bonus on all Will saving throws. Accomplished Sneak Attacker:Your sneak attack damage increases by 1d6. |
