With another 2 shots from his musket Pokey manages to blast 2 large holes into the pyramid, the resulting shock waves that ripple through the stone are enough to make the construct crumble in on it self

(no need for Belka to move forward and provoke from the pyramid with reach)

Out of combat

Searching through the stone rubble you don't find anything that arouses your interest.

You can sort out hps/damage if you want. I think Vanya is down 5 hps, Belka should still be down a few, Gwintyr has damage..not sure about the others without going back and checking previous posts.

A pair of heavy stone doors carved with images of rampant sphinxes stand at the terminus of the long causeway.
The stone doors are heavy and stuck closed.

Mechanically 2 people will need to roll strength checks and combine the result to get a high enough number to get it open - no assists, but you can take 10 or use spells (like guidance) to boost the result

And just in case comes up with the idea at any point during the module to do so..since you have a head start on the competition you can take 1 day to rest and camp outside somewhere, but after that the competitors start showing up and you might start running into empty/already explored rooms

Guess we are waiting for Belka? to push open the door along with Sareptha then. Since it's just doors I don't want to spend to long on it

The combined strength of Belka and Sareptha isn't enough to budge the heavy doors

Since it would extremely silly to not try again but return back to Absolom to tell them that you couldn't get the doors open I'll assume you'll put your backs into it again and try to push it open once more..taking 10 for both Belka and Seraptha along with guidance on both of them

Spitting in their hands and trying again, more focused this time hey manage to push open both doors.

On the other side of the doors is a short corridor that leads up a room which what at a distance looks like to contain some palm trees made from pink stone.

If that's not a problem, I'd like to retrospectively spend 2 PP to buy a wand of CLW. Belka will then also ask Sareptha to use the wand on her.

@Sareptha since Belka hasn't rolled a reflex save yet it's entirely possible that she isn't down in the pit ;) but if she is I'm sure she'd be thankful for the assist

I'll believer that with the use of a knotted rope (or 2) you guys make it to the other side of the pit..so just need the reflex save from Belka to see if she took any damage (and if she needs a heal) ..continuing on to the next room for now since it won't impact the game

Arriving at the entrance to the next room you see:
Tall, pink granite columns, carved and painted to resemble palm trees, stand around the perimeter of this chamber, supporting the barrel vault of the ceiling. Slabs of the same pink granite line the walls. A stone sarcophagus stands alone on the limestone floor in the center of the room. Beyond, a dark doorway leads deeper into the pyramid.

Looking around with detect magic Belka doesn't notice anything lighting up (other then things being carried by the party)

As Belka gets closer to the sarcophagus it seems to be melting and changing shape ..it forms a long tentacle and it tries to slam into Belka

And it just barely manages to hit

Vanya walks up behind the mimic and sticks her weapon into it.
As soon as he hits she notices that the same sticky surface that is holding on to Belka is also making it difficult to retrieve her weapon

A mimic exudes a thick slime that acts as a powerful adhesive, holding fast any creatures or items that touch it. An adhesive-covered mimic automatically grapples any creature it hits with its slam attack. Opponents so grappled cannot get free while the mimic is alive without removing the adhesive first. A weapon that strikes an adhesive-coated mimic is stuck fast unless the wielder succeeds on a DC 17 Reflex save. A successful DC 17 Strength check is needed to pry off a stuck weapon.

So reflex save DC 17 for Vayna or your weapon is stuck.

Sareptha moves forward to heal Belka with a wand.

Gwinthyr moves forward and shoots an arrow point blank into the mimic before her tiger steps up in front of her and tries to sicks it claws and teeth into the mimic's flesh

Failing to get even close with it's teeth but both claws manages to swipe away some flesh, leaving the mimic oozing some blood.

Pokey unloads another barrage of bullets and one of them manages to hit the minic, shooting a hole in it that quickly fills it self as the mimic changes shape to maintain integrity (To avoid confusion it doesn't have fast healing or anything, but it sounds like something a mimic would do in my mind..so taking some artistic liberties)

Going to need another reflex save for this attack or have your weapon stuck..also you are 1 round ahead of everyone else, which doesn't matter right now..but might later down the road.

Pokey fires a volley of bullets which rips through the mimics body ..it's damage to massive for it to be able to reform itself.

It's even better when you have special materials bullets ;)

Not quite..you need to post your action when your name (or when I write you guys/everyone/party) is up in Bold after initiative..I can most of the time fit in your action if you post early..but like I said,you were ahead of everyone else by 1 round. Which wasn't a problem now, but could lead to weird things later since you posted to do stuff before the enemies did their turn as well

As you are healing Belka you notice that what is remaining of the mimic is starting to let go slowly. By the time Belka is conscious again and able to move around she can easily scrape op the remaining goo and slime from her body.

As Gwinthyr takes a closer look around the room she comes across 2 hidden doors, one on the left side of the room and another on the opposing wall. She doesn't think either of them is trapped or locked.

Opening the door to the left the party sees a tunnel that leads further, deeper into the pyramid, turning a corner and then leads up to a room

Two woven reed boats sit end-to-end in this chamber, covered in a thick layer of dust. Carvings on the walls depict naval expeditions and boats bearing tribute for the pharaoh.

On the opposite side of the room is another opening with a tunnel behind it.
