in the first post I was hoping to move the barricade from the lighthouse to the one place you said we couldn't fit a barricade because we had used them all up. I thought it was on the first floor. The reason being that two of us are in the lighthouse

Quiella, I think part of my confusion came from the desire to move the barricade was only ever mentioned in ooc posts as a potential course of action and never declared as an in character action. It's now a little too late to move the barricade from the second floor lighthouse door to the last window on the first floor, since it would necessitate reversing actions in combat that will just muddle and complicate things unnecessarily when no one is in danger of dying nor are you in danger of failing of scenario. I will remove the barricade from the second floor lighthouse door however, if that is what you wish to do.

Mel, should I assume the windows on the second floor are all open? Otherwise, it will take a move action to move from your previous position to the west window, then another move action to open it.

Halkale casts a spell to augment his bow, then peers around the smoke and mist for any additional incoming enemies. Now that they have extinguished their torches, the ranger sees an occasional shadow in the haze but nothing to suggest another wave of invaders is incoming.

Quiella, Ophelia, Valik. I need clarification from Mel.

what are the windows anyway? Empty holes with shudders, or is there glass and/or screens involved?

Mel, they are glass windows with no screens. I assumed you had opened the windows you were adjacent to earlier when the invaders first arrived in order to attack. If you still want to use Burning Hands next round, you can keep the damage roll you made or make another if you'd prefer.

Valik attacks the grappling invader, but misses. The man does not appear to be any less agile while he is holding someone.

Melufiuos moves to the west side window and opens it in order to attack at his next opportunity.

Quiella, did you want the barricade removed from the second floor lighthouse door? I didn't get a definitive answer on that one yet, so I just wanted to clarify.

Quiella remains in her position in the lighthouse while she waits for further battlefield descriptions from Halkale.

Grappled by the flying invader, Ophelia draws her morningstar and attempts to attack him, but he slides away from weapon while maintaining his hold.

Ophelia Morningstar attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

The prone enemy in the black hood slices at the Dretch attempting to kill him, yet misses mostly thanks to his ineffective circumstances.

The two invaders by the west door ignore the window opening above them and attempt to hack through the barricade. Although they both hit, the strong wood absorbs both ax blows.

Inside the house, the flying invader easily pins Ophelia, rendering her helpless to do anything but attempt to break out of the grapple or cast verbal spells with her concentration sorely tried. Ophelia now has the Pinned condition.

Second floor door barricade removed.

Valik successfully hits the flying invader with his weapon. Apparently unfazed, the man responds with "No worries, you are next."

Ophelia attempts to the escape the taunting man's pin, but is unable to slip out of his grasp.

Neither man under Melufiuos' window is able to dodge the elf's fire spell, which burns them both somewhat.

Fortune is with the prone invader for at least six seconds as all three Dretch attacks miss.

The masked invader on the west side of the house is not so lucky as Vailis critically hits him with a crossbow bolt.

Halkale readies himself to fire an arrow at the first enemy to appear in his sights, while Quiella makes her way across the second floor bridge to the manor door there.

The prone invader continues his ineffective attacks on the Dretch.

Angry at the both the fire and bolt striking him, the masked invader drops his ax and draws a shortbow that he promptly fires at Vailis. The projectile strikes only the window frame above the Summoner's head.

The brown robed invader continues trying to hack through the door. This time he takes out a sizable chunk, so that even with a barricade the door won't be able to take much more damage.

Drawing a 20 ft. length of rope from his belt, the flying invader quickly hogties Ophelia and leaves her on the floor. The cocky invader then beckons Valik closer with a finger. The invader used the tie up action in grapple. Ophelia is now bound by ropes which effectively works as the same as being pinned. She can make a CMB or Escape Artist check to free herself on her turn.

Halkale, there are no windows in the lighthouse except for the top, so moving to a lower level will not bring any enemy into visible range.

Valik, you can cut the rope with slashing weapon and an attack against AC 5. Alternatively, you can untie the ropes as a standard action without a roll, but this action provokes an AoO.

This time the summoned Dretch hits with all three of its attacks and finally claws the prone man into unconsciousness.

Vailis returns fire with his crossbow, but his aim is a little off and the bolt misses.

Quiella moves into the house, then onto a stairwell that leads downstairs.

Melufiuos recharges his spell and casts Burning Hands against the nearby enemies again. This time the masked fellow dodges the worst of the flames, but what's left is enough to slay him.

Miscellaneous Modifiers: A creature can also add any circumstance, deflection, dodge, insight, luck, morale, profane, and sacred bonuses to AC to its CMD. Any penalties to a creature's AC also apply to its CMD. A flat-footed creature does not add its Dexterity bonus to its CMD.

All of my features grant Dodge, which stacks on itself, which raises my CMD as well. As we all know, Valik is built to not get hit if he can avoid it

After a flash of annoyance flashes over the flying invader's features when Valik quickly frees Ophelia, the enemy opts to merely hit her with his fist as the cleric stands instead of grappling her. Despite it merely being his fist, the invader strikes Ophelia hard. Ophelia takes 10 damage from an AoO attack.

Ophelia then attempts to retaliate with her morningstar, but the man flies out of the way of her strike.

Perhaps tired of being a target to those on the second story, the remaining invader outside limps back 15 feet while drawing his shortbow. He then drops his ax and fire an arrow at Melufiuos. The projectile strikes the elf in the upper torso, although his magical shielding appears to have slowed it enough to prevent a critical injury. Mel takes 5 damage from the arrow.

Completely ignoring Ophelia now, the flying invader inside the house grabs at Valik and manages to place him in a hold. "You want to do this the hard way, eh? Out the window you go!" Valik is now grappled.

Halake: You still can't see the outside guy step back, the second story of the house blocks your view. Also the other invader so is just threatening to throw Valik out of the window, he has a way to go to live up to the threat and is still not visible inside the barricaded house.

Halkale continues to wait for another viable target to show itself.

The dretch rounds the corner of the house to approach the remaining invader on the west side and attempts to frighten him away with a fear spell. Although he appears briefly on the verge of bolting, the man manages to resist the magic.

Vailis reloads his crossbow and his bolt squarely pops through the invader's armor to lodge itself in his shoulder. This appears to be the last straw as the man drops to the ground.

I'm assuming that Mel is aware enough to have heard the sounds of battle from within the house. If that is not true, then I'll redo my order

Seeing the last guy drop, Mel lets out a tiny sigh of relief, interrupted by the pain of the arrow sticking out of his chest. That pain, though, reminds him that he's been hearing the sounds of battle from inside the house. He immediately draws his rapier and dashes east through the door and leaps down the stairs from the side, rather than taking them normally. He then races through the house to the last place he knew Ophelia and Valik were. Seeing the room empty nearly takes the air out of him, but a noise to his right causes him to speed in that direction.

I added a green arrow on the 2nd and 1st floor to show the path Mel follows. He really does leap down the stairs from the side.

Acrobatics?: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Normally, it is +8, but I believe the cat's grace effect on his dex brings that up to a +10

To keep things moving, we'll assume you've been yelling through the house to keep the others posted on what's going on.

Valik attempts to turn the tables on the arrogant invader, but twists in the wrong direction and stays grappled.

Melufiuos takes a running leap down the stairs and successfully avoids hurting himself. He does not stop until he arrives in the room with the last invader.

Quiella and Ophelia. I'll move on late tomorrow if they do not get a chance to post before then.

Quiella comes down the stairs and converges with the others on the remaining invader.

Ophelia attempts another morningstar attack on the enemy and successfully strikes him.

Morningstar: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

The flying invader attempts to pull Valik towards the window, but the monk manages to escape his grasp! The man curses in Tien and flies 5 feet diagonally away from the group. Valik is no longer grappled thanks to his high CMD.

Quiella, I searched through your posts, I did not find a post where you mentioned setting up a life link in this scenario. If you want to set it on Mel and Valik, that's fine.

Valik tumbles past the grappling invader and punches him in the chest.

Vailis orders his Dretch to guard the front part of the manor, then makes his way down the stairs and asks what's going on.

Quiella backs up 5 feet to make room for her reach weapon, then concentrates momentarily on the invader. Detecting a very faint evil aura, she focuses her energy on smiting the enemy and easily hits him. Despite the solid hit, the invader is still a threat.

I added +4 to the damage from your paladin level, Quiella.

Mel, Halkale, Ophelia.

Mel will do spell combat. He is worried about how hard it will be to hit this guy, and wants an advantage. So he casts vanish, takes a five foot step forward, and attacks with his rapier.

Melufiuos casts a Vanish spell and disappears. He reappears next to the enemy as he attempts to hit with his rapier, but the weapon misses.

Ophelia lashes out with her morningstar and hits the flying invader once again.

Halkale continues to keep watch in the lighthouse for any additional moves from the enemy.

The remaining enemy flies 5 feet over to Quiella and attempts to grapple her. Despite the extra protection from her smite, the invader places her in a hold. "Stop hitting me or I'll drop her out the window!" He threatens to the group. Quiella is now grappled.
