dotted and deleted in gameplay... look forward to Monday!

My youngest kid is sick and I wasn't unable to post, but I'm here again.

![]() |

DM Skipper - Just letting you know in advance that Lore will be on slow progression for these games.
Now to catch up on gameplay thread... I got a little behind this weekend.

![]() |

Ok.. off the top of my head, this is what I have:
Slide 2:
Man + Dog = Beetle
Cart - Sun = Snake
Eye x Man = squiggly thing and a dot
Scorpion / Cat = Cat
Slide 3:
Cart + Man =
Snake - Sun =
Cat x Cat =
Cart / Man =
The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that this is some sort of numerical pictograph code. Using that, if scorpion / cat = cat, Then cat x cat = cat or 0.
But I am lost on the rest, because scorpion can be any integer, and there are no other parallels that I see.

Ok please check my working. Sounds like a math class. I'm assuming that the remiaining icons represent the numbers 1 to 10.
Sun - 1
Man - 2
Cat - 3
Dog - 4
Eye - 5
Beetle - 6
Snake - 7
Cart - 8
Scorpion - 9
Squiggly line with dot - 10
I noticed that cat x cat = scorpion, i.e. 2x2=4 or 3x3=9.
Also eye x man = squiggly dot. Let's say man is 3. Eye can't be 1 cos 3x1=3. Eye can't be 2 cos cat would have to be 2 if man is 3. Eye can't be 3 cos man is 3. Eye can't be 4 cos 4x3=12 which is larger than 10. That means man can't be 3. By the similar reasoning, man also can't be 4. Which means man is 2. So cat is 3 and scorpion 9.
Also, squiggly dot can only be 8 or 10 and eye can only be 4 or 5. Cart also must be an even number, since one of the door questions has cart / man. With some trial and error, I'm guessing the above set of representations.

I was trying to look at that after having been up for nearly 20 hours straight and at the tail end of a 14 hr shift at work. Thanks for working that out! I was just incapable of putting it together last night!

![]() |

Sorry guys, I've been sick and unable to post.
Just let me read the last 27 messages and I'll post. ;D

![]() |

Oh just to share that Myrdon will level up to level 7 after part 1. Since we are already playing high tier, shouldn't affect the game. And oh, Aegis becomes large. Hope the tunnels aren't too small in part 2. :) Hmm, fireball or summon monster III. Decisions, decisions...

![]() |

Yeah, Shamak will level up to 9. New feat, yay!

GM Skipper |

We're basically done with part one, so I've gone ahead and made your chronicle sheets. Jhon, if you want to do a faction card thingy instead of a dayjob, let me know and I'll change it on your sheet. Myrdon, I haven't found a dayjob roll from you, so if you have one, go ahead and roll it and I'll fix your sheet.
Since this is an official gameday game, there a chance to win boons. A roll of 20 or 16 (don't ask me why) is what you'll need.
Jhon: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Eladrian: 1d20 ⇒ 15
Jal: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Myrdon: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Lore: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Shamak: 1d20 ⇒ 17
GM Skipper: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Yay for me! Which one will I get?: 1d6 ⇒ 3
As soon as we wrap up part one, I'll transition you straight into part two.

![]() |

hmm... the one time it's not a 1 or a 20, I roll a 1, sigh.

![]() |

Oops Day job rolling.
perform(act), masterwork tool: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 13 + 2 = 21
I hope we get to rest before the next scenario. Or Myrdon is just going to be pretty much firing his wand of MM for all the encounters. :)

![]() |

It is 20/16 because this is GD 2016. There was a post on that on one of the announcement threads!
Got my chronicle. That puts me at 7.2 Thanks!
Onward to part Deux!

![]() |

profession chef: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
do you need my email address for the chronicle?

GM Skipper |

Myrdon, I've updated your sheet.
Lore, I already have your dayjob roll, and you can find the sheets in my last post or here.

![]() |

ok thanks.. didn't see the prior link... got it... thanks for remembering Lore is on slow progression!

![]() |

You have my dayjob, but I will like to forgo my downtime to nonviolently fight for the cause of liberty by spending time distributing evolutionary material among the lizardfolk.
K. local: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Between part 1 and 2 I'll buy a Belt of incredible dexterity +2 and +1 to the armor, already applied.

![]() |

GM Skipper, quick purchasing question.
Can I pick up a purchase at the beginning of the next Scenario? Basically, I want to use a journal card benefit to reduce the cost of the Lens of Detection by 5%, but I already used that same journal card benefit for a +5 to my Day Job roll. Can I forgo that bonus at the beginning of the next Scenario to apply the discount?

![]() |

GM: Just in case you wanted to know, I will be purchasing the Belt of Dex as well. I will update my char. sheet/ stats monday.

![]() |

Sorry, folks, I've been kept away from computer all week-end. I'll update Shamak's profile as he levels to 9 :)

![]() |

Oh, you're right, let's do this now :)
Dayjob: Perform Growl: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24

![]() |

okay, you can use that day job roll for the second half then maybe?

![]() |

I am leaving on a retreat on Thursday the 3rd and won't be back til Sunday afternoon. I will try to keep up on my phone, but it's very hard to post using it, so please bot me as necessary to keep the game flowing. Thanks

![]() |

Sorry for my dissapearance guys, my wife and one of my kids get sick and I become exhausted by taking care of them.

![]() |

Too sick and depressed and terrified to game right now... expect I'll be gone a day or two while I process recent events.. I WILL be back.

![]() |

Just for transparency, I wasn't intending to slack off that last fight. I just couldn't imagine it was as straight-forward as it appeared. So Jal played it super-cautious, anticipating you guys could fully handle it if it was, indeed, that straight-forward (which it turned out to be).
Just didn't want anyone thinking I wasn't intending to pull my weight. :)

![]() |

I doubt anyone had thought anything like that, so don't worry.

![]() |

So, do us taking down this Aspis agent and this Garundi aspis contact qualify for this chronicle?
I’d love to get two more slots filled in. :)

GM Skipper |

And that's basically it for Wonders in the Weave. I will upload your chronicle sheets here as I complete them. I still need dayjobs/faction card stuff from Jhon, Eladrian and Myrdon.
Since part 2 also was part of PbP GameDay v, there's still boon rolls:
Jal: 1d20 ⇒ 9
Jhon: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Eladrian: 1d20 ⇒ 2
Shamak: 1d20 ⇒ 14
Lore: 1d20 ⇒ 12
Myrdon: 1d20 ⇒ 13
GM Skipper: 1d20 ⇒ 20
Me again? Oh well, I guess that makes up for my abysmal rolls at IRL cons.
1d6 ⇒ 4
The debriefing with Aram Zey is completely my own doing, since the scenario stops abruptly after the feast with the lizardfolk, but I thought that was a let-down.

![]() |

Oops, forgot again.
perform(act), masterwork tool: 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 13 + 2 = 25
And congratulations!

![]() |

GM Skipper - any chance of getting that as either a pdf or jpg? I can't seem to look at a .png if I save it to my computer that way. thanks and thanks for the game - sorry I missed the last few posts... I was away for a day and a half... I guess it made a big difference.

![]() |

Awesome game, everyone! GM, Thank you very much.. I really enjoyed this game! Yall rock, and I look forward to seeing you around.
GM: Day job Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

![]() |

Thanks for the games, GM Skipper! It was fun! the chronicle looks good.
