Welcome to the discussion thread. Out of comment remarks not related to the game going on, and other discussions can go here.
One thing I advise to make everything run smoother:
Edit your profile, and in the class/level entry , put in a small stat block like the following:
Alchemist 6 (hp: 52/52 | AC: 18 | T: 12 | FF: 16 | Fort: +7 | Ref: +7 | Will: +2 | Init: +2 | Perception: +9 | Darkvision 60ft.)
It makes it easy to grab certain things, like at a glance telling if i hit with a monster's attack roll, or if an ability calls for a reflex save, i'll sometimes roll for you to speed up play ( if you have something that modifies it on the fly, you can apply it after the fact, just say in your next post that you want to use it ), or if everyone needs to make perception checks, initiative checks, etc. i'll just post a block of dice rolls, and put you all in init order.
Saphera Moonglade
|
Introduction,
Saphera is a young female Aasimar, who appears human by most accounts. With the exception of her light complexion most people would find nothing noteworthy about her appearance.
The young inquisitor wears an above average quality breastplate, which depicts a war between heaven and hell, a well-crafted bastard sword made of cold iron, and a large heavy shield with a five winged angel emblazoned on it, which sits loosely on her left arm. Sitting on the floor, next to her right foot, is a masterly crafted backpack with a light crossbow strapped to it.
Saphera stands with a strong confident posture but speaks softly. Anyone who observes the young woman for more than a few moments can tell she is carefully taking stock of everyone in the room.
Priddy the Bastard
|
Percival Schuft's scars and bruises portray a man that has lived a hard thirty years.
Percival finds himself a seat, loosens up his neck, and slumps to a more relaxed position. Percival carries himself (and his armaments) quite well, though many of his tools appear to be designed for utility rather than brute force.
"Name's Percival. No-one that knows me calls me that. Been called a lot of things, but bastard seems to fit best. 'Priddy' is a... childhood name. I can appreciate the irony. They laughed, I laughed, they caught a punch to th' mouth, I laughed harder. Life's been hard, but you know what? Sure as hell beats the alternative."
Percival regards the inquisitor for a moment.
"Zadrian send you, too?"

Having been no stranger to the hard life, Saphera watches Percival with empathy as he introduces himself.
"Welcome aboard Priddy. Although it seems you have become accustomed to others calling you bastard, you will not endure that word from me. If you are ok with it, I would prefer to address you as Priddy or Percival."
(Temphus, You should select what you think you would enjoy playing. I believe either choice would be acceptable.)
Kuaizi "the Craw" Wu
|
Clothed in the orange and brown robes of his eastern order, a short monk stands before you. His crow-like visage is as stern and uncompromising as the rigorous physical and mental training he has endured. He wears a simple bamboo hat upon his feathered head, and bears an exotic staff in hand. He has a light pack strapped over one shoulder.
With one hand in prayer position at his chest as the other remains gripping his staff, the robed tengu gives you all a formal bow. From the distant realms of Tian Xia judging by his accent, he enthusiastically addresses each of you, "Caw! Greetings, most honorable ones. I am Kuaizi Wu, at your service."
Looking to the scarred man, "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Percival-san! Or, do you prefer Priddy-san?"
He also looks to the warrior-woman, "And to make your acquaintance as well, fair lady! But, by what name shall I address you?"
GM Woran - I put asterisks in my stat block to indicate that conditional mods apply, and I shorthand low-light vision to "L" next to my perception check mod. Let me know if you have another preference, I'm adaptable.

Thank you. It looks good. I have everything I need, and if special circumstances happen, we'll roll with it :)

"So fare it looks like our little group is going to be well rounded."
Saphera glances over to the well postured Tengu, smiles then states. "My name is Saphera."
"It is somewhat interesting to meet someone, like yourself, that hails from such a long distance away. Are you from the Tain providence?"
Priddy the Bastard
|
One o' them birdmen... no... give him a chance, he ain't done you wrong...
"Saphera, Kuaizi, you can call me whatever the spirit moves you to call me -- that's how everybody else tends to handle it."
Kuaizi "the Craw" Wu
|
After a moment of consideration, "Then I shall call you Percival-san." It seems that getting names right is rather important to this tengu.
"Well met, Saphera-chan!" The monk takes another bow to the lady, delight on his face as best as can be expressed when one has a beak (it's all in the eyes and cheeks...). "Ah! You have a good ear for language, one of my favorite subjects! I come originally from far eastern Xa Hoi, Empire of the Dragon," here his penchant for storytelling begins to come forth as he waves his free arm wide... as if to encompass the great expanse of space from here to Xa Hoi, "but I also trained in Iroran Doan Monastery in the north," whereupon his arm stretches outward to further signify the great distance.
Noting her armor's theme, he then politely asks, "Saphera-chan, are you a holy warrior?" Thinking a moment of the right word in Common, "A paladin?"
Saphera Moonglade
|
Saphera’s eyes widen slightly with the Tengu’s unintended deep question.
“Over the years, I have come to find my path aligned with the teachings of the Imperial god Ragathiel. I don't consider myself a holy warrior, but I do find myself in that role quite often. Within the ranks of those loyal to the Imperial god, I hold the title of inquisitor.”

Percival regards the introductions.
So birdman can throw claws and Saphera's got a bit more fire in her than she's letting on. Hassari... I imagine we'll figure that out later.
Kuaizi "the Craw" Wu
|
To Saphera, "Ah! Very auspicious! I too am a religious man. We will get along splendidly, I foresee." He continues, "I study the way of Iro-Shu, whom you in the west call Irori. In my tradition, he is Enlightened One, a self-perfected role model for compassion and wisdom." The tengu is enthusiastic about his beliefs, holding up his index talon in emphasis.
When the cloaked figure introduces himself, the monk formally bows in turn to him as well. He ponders his words carefully. Kuaizi, not quite yet accustomed to Avistani adages, tends to take things... literally. He seems fascinated. "Ooh. How interesting, Hassari-san. I have heard of magical minstrels before, but not that one could hear magic when it is windy..."

I have never used this password link before. Do we need to log into this link and check in? I'm not sure what to do from this point.

Hope you don't mind me suggesting knowledge checks, GM Woran. It's nothing crucial, just my own explanation of why Kuaizi has a slight obsessiveness with getting names right. :)
Also, though I will try if I can, I will probably have trouble posting again until Sunday. Probably won't be necessary this early in the game, but feel free to bot me if needed.

“Pathfinders, please get settled. All campus-wide events are closing. All venture-captains and field agents are invited to gather on the north lawn for refreshments and the keynote address in several minutes.”
Table GMs Act 2 begins November 10th when the Overseer Announcement is made, please begin to conclude whatever contests are ongoing.

Hi, Woran told me saturday the PbP went life, but I haven't introduced my character yet.
I play Able Stone, a Shoanti Brawler, who moonlights as an Bountyhunter.
He's built as a combat manouvre specialist, and be as versatile as possible. That's why is motto is:"Yes. I can do that"
That does not always end well though.
He looks like a muscular but rangy mohawked tribal Shoanti, wearing all kinds of bits of armor and equipment, that looks like he ripped it off his beaten opponnents.
I've listed his most usual weapons, but he carries more, and uses snap lock manacles when he has pinned down his opponent.
He has Power Attack, Combat Expertise, Improved Grapple and Point blank as feats, to open up all kinds of feat chains. The only thing is, it still costs him a move action to activate, so he chooses what to use after he has closed with the enemy.

What?! We didn't even get a chance to find out what the contests were... :/

Alright... now that I've read the entire Overseer Posts page, I see how the game is scheduled to run. GM Woran, if I am not posting frequently enough for this, by all means bot me as frequently as you deem necessary. I don't want to hold the group back, but I can generally only post once per day.
Next post is coming up soon...

Thanks. If you do need to bot him...

I am showing a red square on the map. I am not sure what that is, so I am going to post as if it is nothing until someone notes otherwise.
Kuaizi "the Craw" Wu

Not bad, GM Woran... that was more or less my plan. :) I moved Kuaizi a little further in though (he moves 40 ft. per round, not 30 ft.).
I am posting now. I realize he goes after the enemies go, but I want to prevent you from waiting for me. This is what he'll do unless something unwise warrants a different course of action (in which case I leave it to you to bot me).
Note: I've not moved him on the map yet since he's waiting on the archers. While I am thinking he moves to the square above the caster, I am flexible on the precise square. As long as he's in melee to attack him. And without getting flanked, should that possibility arise.
Kuaizi "the Craw" Wu

Kuaizi, I dont know where the bless comes from?
My mistake, apologies. I'm mixing up my games, lol.
But you can move into a flanking position with Zanu. It will not change the outcome of your dice rolls, but you might want to reposition yourself, as the enemy moved before it was your turn.
Seems I missed much, lol. Posting in a bit...

Saphera starts running but is impeded by the craped quarters...
Not sure if you or Saphera moved her token last, but I think Saphera meant to "run" (or move) into melee last round? Meaning, she'd be flanking with Kuaizi right now.
Kuaizi "the Craw" Wu

Yes, but the rules for run state that you can only run in a straigt line. While I am always up for some leeway with that, there is a 180 turn while rounding the corner.
So it was just a double move.
No question about running. I was actually thinking you might have misread her post and moved her northeast towards the far corner, but instead I now think I was missing that she couldn't make it there with a double move.
So, nevermind... I just need to cut my work hours and check in more often. :)
Edit: Where are we on the map again?
