The Blakros Museum rises into the night sky, its single black spire severing the full moon in twain. The black iron gates surrounding the exhibition hall grind in protest against the wind. Beyond, the museum’s large oaken doors stand wide open, a silver-gray mist belching forth from the cavernous darkness within. You wonder how you ended up here, standing at the precipice of unknown terrors, and instantly Venture- Captain Adril Hestram’s wide looming face is conjured into your minds’ eye. His booming words ring out from memory as clearly as he spoke them only one hour ago:

“The Blakros Museum is cursed. Some darkness has descended upon the place and those who enter are blasted with evil and left raving through its halls, more beast than men. The curator, Nigel Aldain, is an old associate of the Society, though he chose to leave our organization some years back after a disagreement.” Adril looked sheepish then, as if remembering some distasteful incident from his youth.

“Nigel has long denied the Society access to the Blakros Museum’s considerable collection of relics and scrolls, using his extensive contacts to nab several excellent finds right out from under us... he always had a nose for the hunt. Whatever is past between Nigel and the Society, he needs our help now. Perhaps if we can come to his aid, he may think on rejoining the Pathfinder Society, or at least offering to share his discoveries with us.”

“Apparently the trouble at Blakros Museum began this morning, shortly after a wayward Pathfinder named Lugizar Trantos returned to Absalom after months spent in the Mwangi Expanse. Supposedly, instead of coming straight to the Lodge to report in, he went to Blakros, sold his finds to Nigel, and then disappeared with a hefty sum of gold. The few who glimpsed Lugizar claimed he was much changed by his time in the Mwangi... gaunt, his eyes yellowed and unfocused, a strange rasping cough that seemed to wrack his now wasted frame. Whatever he brought back with him, we believe it is the cause of the Blakros Museum’s ills. Root it out.”

First real mission for the Society and the send to a Museum, a cursed museum at that. I starting to think these guys are much better than the Blood-Red Raiders... An human woman steps out of the shadows and draws two shortswords from scabbards on her back. She seems to be talking to her self as she eyes the imposing structure. Turning to the rest of the group she nods to the front door, So who's going first? she asks with a sly smile.

"Whatever it is, reason and logic should help us deal with it. And arms." Julien paths his twin aklys clubs on their cords, looking around at his well-equipped companions. "Surely this mist is not natural in origin. Which means there is likely an arcane origin. What do you think, miss..." He looks at Tera for an answer.

He has quite an odd look, as part of his face is covered in intricate tattoos depicting a swarm of blue-winged butterflies.

"There is evil inside and it must be banished! Let us go and the Great Dreamer will lighten our path!" he raises a silver holy symbol and it starts glowing, illuminating the surroundings.

"Those mists do not look like anything of demonic nature", mighty tiefling, dismounted from his mighty black horse. Both were wearing scale mail, probably made by same master.

He nodded:
"I'm Maldrek from Westcrown," he moved his big hammer on one shoulder. This thing was so big, that it was hard to put it away. Maldrek used to carry it around in one hand.

"I'm ready, who are we waiting for?", he asked.

"ahh Youngsters and their engergy" Tara looks rather sadisfied while saying that, the sorceress looks older then you would expect from a pathfinder, she's calm and her wrinkles make her look wize but still she has sort of engergetic look to her in het fire red dress.

"well my dear, let's see about this mist" giving Julien a kind warm smile.

Tera has never seen mist the like of which is pouring out of the museum.

The mist is a unique effect, and the module does not actually specify whether it can even be identified by Detect Magic. Since it is not a spell in effect, per se, actually identifying what, if anything, the mist does cannot be done.

"well, lets not worry about the mist for now, as I have no idea what it is..." Tera looks curious towards the mist. "I suggest we move on, Youngsters first" again a kind but slightly demanding smile, this time towards Shechera


1. Entrance and Atrium (Link to map under my alias)

An unnatural cold permeates this chamber and the tendrils of silver-gray mist flowing out the front archway into the courtyard beyond seem to effortlessly pierce the flesh and gently caress the bone in a cold embrace. The grand entranceway’s vaulted ceiling is supported by six great pillars of hewn black stone. Braziers mounted on the pillars cast white radiance from balls of continual light. The light glimmers eerily in the silvery haze that fills the atrium, giving the impression of something alien watching from the glowing fog.

Everyone feels a twinge as they breathe in the mist; but most are unaffected. Kazuo and Shechera, however appear to be taking on the features of an ape.

Kazuo and Shechera:

You have gained the Mist-Tainted Template. In a nutshell:

-Your Intelligence and Charisma scores are both reduced to 6,
-You gain a +2 bonus to Strength and Dexterity scores,
-You are immune to fear,
-You gain a +10 bonus on Climb checks and a climb speed of 20 feet,
-You gain a +5 bonus on Acrobatics and Stealth checks,
-You also gain a slam attack (1d3 damage)

Don't worry...if your mission is successful you'll be back to normal by the end; in the meantime its a great role playing opportunity. Have fun with it!

"Than, let's find a hole this damn mist coming out and put a big cork in it", said Maldrek moving forward, "If person who brought that thing into Absalom knew about specific features of this mist, I'd like to put it instead of cork!"

Tera releases a soft chuckle after shechera stoms off.

"don't worry Kazuo, we'll make you feel better soon ok, for nou let's stay with the group shall we" and as a caring mother Tera holds Kazuo's sholders and pushes him forwards so they also join the others.


As Kazuo searches the area for bananas, the group presses on away from the foyer. You come across a door above which a placard reads “The Honored Dead” in blood-red calligraphy.

The mists here congeal into a thick and silvery fog that cools the lungs. Arranged throughout this large hall are exhibits on the funerary traditions of several civilizations, along with preserved corpses arrayed in grim stillness. A giant warrior looms from the haze, his arms crossed at his chest, his helm solemn and still. Beyond lie sarcophagi of varied designs, and a few glass cases wherein withered dead are held upright by rods and string; grim exhibits of long-dead citizens whose fallen empires were erased an age past.

As you enter the room you are greeted by the sight of several corpses rising from their undead slumber. One is a withered, mummified creature bearing a jeweled scarab on its chest among its spiced wrappings. Another is a hulking skeleton who wields a great club fashioned from a mammoth’s ivory tusk. The third is a shrunken, emaciated corpse wrapped in rotten silks holding a silvered scimitar in its bony fists. Finally there is an armored warrior clad in heavy discolored bronze plates and helm.

Maldrek moved a bit, he dodged away and then took a position on other side of Yaroslav.
He brought, his mighty axe up and took it with two hands, just to put it down on unlucky ghoul's head.

Tera moves forwards, and right before letting of her burning hands on the Legionnaire
"Burn!" a deep intense whisper.

She has 4 extra caster levels (from spell specialization, varisian tattoo, and precocious spellcaster) in burning hands at first level plus she gets +1 damage per die from Orc bloodline and +1 damage per die with fire spells from the Draconic bloodline. So at 1st level she can cast a burning hands that does 5d4+10 damage. Burning hands has a 15ft. cone-shaped burst

The spell makes her hair and dress blow with the wind, it looks rather intense.

As Tera sends the Legionanaire Zombie to his undeath, the ghoul falls to Yaroslav's channel. The rest of the party as able to easily beat up on the remaining skeleton.

Yaroslav quickly examined his wound. It was quite a cut and his white robe now became red on one side, but nothing quite serious.

The ghoul wears a scarab that acts as a feather token (bird), meant to deliver his last will and testament to his ancestors. One of the skeletons carries a masterwork greatclub, the other an masterwork alchemical silver scimitar.

While examining and dividing up the spoils of your victory, you hear hoarse screams for help coming from the next room. (Area 3)

I should by a shield. It weights nothing and is really useful, when I need to leave Aspen behind. But to Maldrek's dissapointments, there were no shields in this room.

As soon as he heard as scream he moved forward to check that area.

The Offices

The door to this chamber was once a pane of expensive frosted glass, which now lies in broken shards on the floor. Within, several desks lie overturned, papers in disarray, and chairs smashed to kindling. A sturdy steel cabinet sits against the back wall, its doors much battered and dented. The mist here roils near the floor and ceiling, creating a strange patch of visibility stretching from knee-height to a few feet overhead. The smoky tendrils flow up and down the walls unnaturally and savage visages swirl to life, fanged mouths agape, before dissolving into mist once more.

As you enter the room two ape-men are trying to find a way to tear into a steel filing cabinet...which appears to be the source of the screams for help.

Feel free to move yourselves on the map if you can...if you're posting from a tablet just describe as best as you can where you want to move and someone else can drag your icon there.
