moved them to the side

Yeah iwas all caught up in the riddle.

Note: There has been a change in maps (linked at the top). Let me know if you cannot see it.
GM Aarvid
I was wondering if people want me to fast forward some of the searching or continue playing at this pace? I am fine with either, but want to keep interest/fun level up.
I was thinking that we would have been done by the end of March but this mod has a bunch of side rooms that can slow things down a bit. Also posts are starting to drag, so we may still have another week or two.
What is the feel for the group? And also any interest in part 3 afterwards?

I'd be interested in part 3. We were slowed down by the loss of Dhar and now Thosar - plus a holiday which likely didn't help.
However, I was personally wondering if as a group we want to call it here. We wouldn't have the katana but we did deal with some undead and we found some trade agreements. Like I mentioned when I joined this is my first foray into PFS so I'm not entirely sure how much we would lose for not completely finishing but I'm open to leaving and just have a failed mission and earn PFS credit for what we did accomplish.
GM Aarvid
I would not want any of you to fail in the mission since you are very close now. But the final encounters will take about a week if we fast forward to it, and as you have noticed,Thosar has been away for awhile as well. However, you still have a viable table with 4 players.
Thoughts from the others?

I want to do part three and want to find the katana as well.
I will be the go bot and check the rooms as they come and try to do it quickly.
so I thought the west was the cave in not the north.

I'm fine with fast forwarding some. I'd also be up to part 3, but I get the feeling that we're losing quite a bit of steam, here.
GM Aarvid
This was the final fight...there area couple more rooms with a few kobolds etc...but basically this is what you came to find.
GM Aarvid
Will wait for Elindriel and Archmoon to post before determining the wrap up. I have the sessions recorded...just need to add fame. Will start working on sheets once I know where katana and agreements end up with party consensus etc.
GM Aarvid
So the vote is two to leave, one to stay and one undecided or indifferent. I have the sheets ready to send if the decision is made.
Please let me know if your session was recorded correctly, as you completed the mission.
I do not want to short change anyone, and can pay this out as much as there is interest. I was just getting concerned that with two AWOL, we may lose too much momentum.
Also, eventually will need to decide how to proceed....is there still interest to play part 3? If so, want to recruit a couple to replace missing Thosar and Dahr?

I'm interested in playing part 3.
I get a rebuild after the first game right? I'm considering using it to be slightly more offensive, notch down my charisma to 17, put a point into strength (and an additional point in dex I guess). Possibly swap out toughness for power attack.
So using power attack would give +1 to hit and 1d8+6 to damage as opposed to right now +1 to hit 1d8+1 to damage.
What do you all think?
Eli Xaviez
|
Power atrack is minus one to hit and plus two to damage and I love power attack. not sure but damage off the top of my head would go to five. 3 for two handed plus two power attack.
But i am just going off of original and bumping up strength to a plus two mod.
Hawk Lifebinder

well strength bonus would go from +1 -> +3 (x1.5 for two-handing) + 3 (2h power attack)
Hit would essentially stay the same as it now now (+1) -> (2 but -1 from power attack). However I should hopefully be able to get a masterwork weapon after this as well.
Maybe I should go with Divine Favor instead of bless since you jerks never seem to add it in anyways :D. (Just kidding... sort of) I might do Divine Favor instead of Obsurcing Mist though.
GM Aarvid
Also I think in pfs you can rebuild prior to level 2.... So not sure if it has to be after first game or not. But I could be wrong.
I always like magic weapon at low levels more than divine favor...for those times you need to hit incorporeal s. same +1 to hit and damage, but can save your bacon. Ymmv.
I sent out sheets, so let me know if there were any issues....or late actions. If you give trade agreements away, cross off the top item. With this mod being older, not sure if that will ever matter.
GM Aarvid
I will leave this discussion thread for any wrap up actions or questions.
Also, like after part 1, let me know if you want me to post for replacements for heading into part 3 (for those continuing onward).
Eli Xaviez

Yes we need replacements.
Who is staying. I am definitely staying on.

Sorry for the delay in posting - whole family came down with a stomach bug that laid us up for a couple days. I'm definitely interesting in finishing the first steps series with Elindriel, here, and fully agree with setting up a recruitment thread for Part III.
GM Aarvid
Sorry to hear about the bug. too much of that going around these days.
Glad to have you back. So one player surfing the boards has already sent me a PM asking to join if we start part 3. I like anyone with enthusiasm, especially after losing 2 players this last time.
If Archmoon decides to go forward, that will put us to 5. Is that enough or shall. I post for a 6th? Seem to have a good balance.
Rogue, oracle, ranger, bard, ?
If we are good with just 5, I will likely just use this thread and start up soon.
Elindriel Firesong

I think we can make that work.
That said, does anyone have any tips for making Elindriel more effective? I'm toying with the idea of going with a higher-strength build, perhaps lower Dex to 14, Cha to 16, raise Str to 16? Then scrap Weapon Finesse and go with something else - Lingering Performance, maybe? Power Attack? If I go this route, she'd also switch to using a longsword, for a d8 damage instead of d6.
GM Aarvid
I am definitely a fan of lingering performance for bards. But that being said, I found her very effective as-is...especially at the end when there were only 4 players.
Hawk Lifebinder
|
Lingering Performance is a good feat choice.
However, the only thing I would say is that you didn't use your performances all that much and you weren't even close to running out of daily uses. If that is your desired play-style then it might not be the best feat for you.
That being said I would have liked inspire courage to be up a little more then it was :).
Bless and Inspire Courage going up on the first round is a +2 to hit for everyone. This is along with +1 damage and a +1 bonus save vs fear. Bless and inspire courage both provide the fear save but they are both morale bonuses. Bless provides a morale bonus to hit bonus while inspire courage is an insight to hit and damage bonus so that part stacks nicely - and is the more important part in my opinion.
GM Aarvid
Ok, I am going to close this thread down as soon as everyone has a chance to post into the new thread for part 3.

Link.brings back here
GM Aarvid
yeah - I noticed that too...even though it has the url for the new spot. I will keep trying...
Ok, try again.:)
GM Aarvid
Ok, Archmoon, if you could post over to the new thread, I will close this out.
I was able to round up 2 more players (one is already there) so we are back to a full table of 6 to start off.
