Ezrek moves cautiously forward, staying along the perimeter walls, examining the floor for traps and weak spots. Does anyone have knowledge of construction? Do this floor look as if it can hold any weight?
Taking twenty, following the right wall?

Luisila will leave her backpack inside the doorway, replace her club, draw her whip and follow Ezrek (and Omrax?) into the room. She is on the lookout for any hidden threat in the room.

“Ezrek, I don’t know anything about engineering, but you’re welcome to my walking stick if you want to probe the floor ahead of you.”

Omrax moves defensively into the room as well along the left wall, up to the first side passage or chamber. Looking for traps or occupants intent on doing harm.

"Lady Luisila, here might be a good place for the extra light if you have some to spare"
If nothing jumps out immediately, he will concentrate for evil auras on each of the coffins.

As the majority of the group moves into the antechamber to look around, from the shadows a gaunt figure steps in the doorway. Its hair is long and stringy falling down the sides of his face. His lips are pulled back in a perma-grin baring sharp, gnashing teeth. It is dressed in rotting finery, with wisps of fetid, expensive cloth still dangling from its limbs. Perched atop its head is a golden crown, resplendent with a dozen glittering gems, while its putrid fingers each bear extravagant rings made from a dozen different precious gems and metals.
"S-s-so many morsels, s-s-so much time. Doors are open, time to play! it says as it curls up in to a readied crouch.

Luisila hastily draws her bow and in the rush, fires an errant arrow. She then steps back to P31.
Luisila is unable to Copycat because its a move action to draw bow, then a standard to fire. There is no hindered terrain.
Also for no reason what so ever, when you give your action give me a Reflex save. You can perform you action normally no matter the Reflex save outcome.

Owai, seeing the creature appear and speak, seemingly with intelligence, widens his eyes in alarm. He shifts his scimitar to a position high and back before calling out in a clear voice full of music, "Dawnflower burn the eyes of evil so that they may see the light yet not see to guide their hand if they yet choose to strike out against the virtuous!"
Owai steps forward in front of Luisila, swinging his sword in swift strokes back and forth, his halo glowing brilliantly. Shards of light break off and fly down his blade, scattering like droplets of water in a spray at the creature, coating it in glittering motes.
Move just in front of Luisila. Use Glitterdust spell-like ability. DC 15 Will.

The glowing glitter bathes the creature. It raises its hands in a praise with a large smile. The glitter accents its current jewelry ensemble. It giggles with glee.
Omrax moves into position and readies his longsword in a threatening manner.
Filios & Haraldir still to go.

![]() |

It does not appear to me that anyone is actually engaged with the enemy to provide a flanking opportunity for me, and the map, if updated, does not represent such an opportunity.
Filios will circle around the outside, quietly, preparing himself for a flanking advantage when it presents itself. Full move of 30 ft in that effort.

As usual, Haraldir is behind most of the group taking rear spot. Still standing in the dorway next to Luisila's backpack, at the edge of the antechamber, his trained eyes notices movement in the shadows, even before the strange creature speaks. Understanding that it considers them food, Haraldir quickly moves into "artillery" mode, releasing the first of a succession of arrows at the monster threatening them.

Luisila scurries to the corner where Filios was trying to hide to give him some encouragement on his next action.
Haraldir fires over Owai's shoulder and shoot his arrow clear through the creature's chest.
Ezrek's holy water lands on top of the creature's head and begins to burn the undead as if it were acid.
A large amount of ichor begins to pour from it's wounds.

Omrax assumes his customary occupation of hurling his lunch...trying to spray onto the creature as repayment...makes me want to become dragon disciple....mom, do we have any pepto bismol?

![]() |

HAHAHA Bluarggharg! By the way, is Omrax's helm open face like in his picture or is it full face guard and he's spewing through his air holes and eye slits. Ha-ha!
Omrax's sword glows with a divine light with a crackle of holy energy. He cleaves off the ghast's arm and it drops with a dull thud on the stone floor. The ghast looks its fresh stump, then looks at its severed limb.
"How could you! I just . . . had my . . . nails done."
The ghast crumbles to the floor before the paladin. Omrax this spews his holy stomach juices all over the dead undead.
There are no more threats in these room.

![]() |

Helm is open for sure! :) For as often as he gets sick, he is thinking about adding an air-sickness bag dispenser to his quick-draw shield.
"I am not feeling so good. Could someone check on Sir Owai?"

I’ve got Ezrek at 1 pod and Owai at 5 pod
Luisila channels positive healing energy and retrieves her whip.
Channel +ve Healing: 1d6 ⇒ 4
She then checks the bite marks on Owai to see if she should recommend a trip to the Temple of Calistria to him after the adventure is over. She will also check over Omrax to see how long his nausea is likely to last.
Take 10 Heal: (10) + 6 => 16
Blessed peace! Oh, it’s so much quieter with that rowdy dervish temporarily paralysed! ;)
She then turns her attention to the fallen foe.
By Menotherian’s Double Stinger ... it’s hard to know where Omrax ends and this thing begins ... and the smell!
Luisila tries casting Create Water a few times to help remove the worst of it.
Wait ... Check out those nails ... I’m not sure if VC Valsin has ever had color analysis done for his wardrobe and makeup ... but I’m thinking he’d be a Winter boy. The hollyberry red with evergreen and magenta flowers on those nails would match perfectly! I must get a sample to take back to him.
Luisila will wrap up one of the creature’s hands in some of its tattered cloth and place it in her backpack along with Lady Kwai's diary.
Take 10 Perception – obligatory looting of the body: (10) + 5 => 15

![]() |

Owai's bite wound does not appear to be infected.
The dosing of water does help reduce the stench. Once the air is less repugnant, Luisila is able to get closer to the ghast. It is adorned in fine riches that should bring in some nice going when returned to the Society.
After a few minutes, Omrax appears to get over the worst of his sickness.

![]() |

Once Omrax recovers enough to regain his faculties, he looks around at the chambers and his companions.
"Whew, ok, glad that is over. So, has anyone uncovered anything of interest? Any dusty old tomes or other doorways we need to search? By the way, how are you doing Deris? Deris?"
He looks around with concern that the old man has wondered off or was grabbed during the scuffle.

![]() |

Owai is quite embarrassed when the paralysis wears off. "Thank you, Luisila, for your care. It is greatly appreciated, and a supreme relief to know that none of the creature's appalling infections have taken root in my wounds."
He joins the others in searching the chamber. Take 20. Total result 23.

![]() |

Deris was left in the chamber above "playing" with his daughter. He appears to be unresponsive to Omrax's calls.
Ezrek searches the room from which the ghast came from. He sees a pile of debris and bones. Among it, he is able to quickly perceive a golden death mask among the rubbish.
Archiving/looting five of the six sarcophagi takes 3 men to push open the stuck lids. Within each one lie mummified remains along with a set of polished silver plates each with the decorative bust of a Taldan noble rising from its center like a man from a mercury pool and a gold plated, ceremonial longsword.
Approaching the last sarcophagus, one can notice that this one is not sealed and corners of the lid do not line up.
When whomever is ready to open the lid, give me a Strength check.

![]() |

Ezrek picks up the golden death mask and stows it carefully in his pack. He removes his formula book and begins jotting down notes of everything they have encountered so far and a general layout.

![]() |

Yes you may keep the rolls. Of course I never see players say, "hey can I keep my bad dice roll from the round before" =v)
I love the way you decided on this one. Probably because it is very similar to what I do when I GM my RL sessions. And really - do you expect for the player, ANY player in the world, no matter how masochistic he/she is, to ask and keep their bad dice rolls?
Circling around, Haraldir keeps an arrow notched in his great bow, taking in the surrounding.
"Maybe we should not really touch those sarcophagi...I feel like we're desecrating something..." - he then notices that no one of his comrades actually took any of the valuables in the sarcophagi, and he is quick to add - "I apologize. I know that none of us Pathfinders is a tomb-robber, and it is within our duty to relieve those cursed with undeath should we encounter them. If I can help in any way, please say so."
He motions towards the last sarcophagus, while speaking to no one in particular.

Omrax, after checking on Deris safety will lend a hand where needed.

"Obviously my strength has not yet fully returned, Sir Filios. Sir Haraldir, I am not in favor of looting the dead, but if we were charged by our sponsor to find and document or return lost items, then we are bound by our word to do so."
Find a way into the necropolis, document your findings with professional detail, and recover artifacts of historical significance. The Society is interested in one artifact in particular—a two-finger ring topped with a ruby salamander

![]() |

The sarcophagus lid slides aside with the sound of a grinding millstone. The well-preserved body of a young girl lies inside, stringy black hair obscuring the face. Her atrophied limbs are drawn up like folded sticks against her torn school uniform. The light twinkles off a two-finger ring topped with a ruby salamander that is upon her right hand. She appears to be clutching music box that has a monkey holding cymbals on top.
If the music box is picked up and played, it produces this tune.
1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11 Surprisingly she does not appear to be dehydrated or malnourished.

![]() |

Upon seeing the girl, Omrax recalls Deris's description of his daughter. He will go find Deris...

![]() |

Filios takes a good look at the face of the girl trying to recall if she looks at all like the painting of their benefactor's deceased daughter from the party.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

![]() |

Omrax stops and turns to respond to Ezrek.
"Sir Ezrek, do you expect she is another undead? I thought she was just the daughter of Mr. Deris. I will come back and check, but I hope for his sake that is not the case. "

![]() |

Omrax returns and scans for any evil. Almost ashamed to admit..
" I had forgotten about Lady Dalacine's Daughter since we met Mr. Deris out here.. "

![]() |

“This is just a hunch now, but I still really don’t like this.”
“Did we check for secret doors in the room?”
“Owai, can you check if the longsword is magical? I was hoping we might find something that could help us in combat.”
“I concur with Ezrek’s diagnosis.”
“The girl is alive but in a coma from MENTAL ability score damage. What do you want to bet the thing that did this is still around?”
“I’m guessing the ruby salamander ring that VC Dreng wants is what is keeping her nourished and hydrated, so I recommend leaving it on her.”
Luisila’s backpack is on the floor. She will ensure her melee weapons are in her belt. She lets her bow dangle on its cord, produces her wand and holy water and unstoppers it – ready to pour in her right hand. The wand is held in her left.
“Ezrek, where do you keep your spare holy water, so that someone else can access it in case you are busy?”
She places Protection from Evil on Ezrek and Omrax as a precaution, and sticks pretty close to them, watching and listening.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
