I'll take a look when I get home.
| Chyrone |
From memory, a few season 0 and their general theme, that have tier 1-2.
The Silent Tide: Stop an old threat from resurfacing and destroying Absalom
Frozen Fingers of Midnight: Investigate a curse on an ulfen friend of the VC.
Among the Living (a personal favorite): Resident Evil. :)
Hydra fang Incident: Investigate a pirate and recover artifacts to prevent a war.

I'm OK with sticking around for a few more, although if we don't recruit a healer, then I may switch to one. We will be hard pressed in some scenario without one.

Agreed, we've gotten our butts handed to us almost every fight and without a healer to keep us up and just your wand, once someone goes down they are out for the entirety of the combat.
Firewarden Yanda

I wouldn't mind swapping Yanda for Guy, my first level cleric. How about it?
Boldren The Tarnished
|
That entirely depends on what you feel like playing Yanda. We could wait to see who is recruited and to see if any of the current AFK players return and wish to continue.
Continuing will also depend on what scenario we intend to play vs what scenarios each player has already played.
Firewarden Yanda
|
I've played these early scenarios:
Silent Tide
the Hydras Fang Incident
Blak Waters
Slave Pits of Absalom
King Xeros of Old Azlant
Fingerprints of the Fiend
Our Lady of Silver
Before the Dawn Part I and II
The Sarkorian Prophesy
Shades of Ice Part II - Exiles of Winter
Shados's Last Stand Part I - At Shadow's Door
The Mantis's Prey
I've never played an AP though. And there are lots of modules if that would be good.

Well, turns out I have played Perils of the pirate pact. I must have missed that one on my spreadsheet. I have played Mist of Mwangi with a Core character, so I could play it again in classic. The Murder on the silken caravan is new for me.
| Chyrone |
Those two would still get you to lvl 2.
Since you were worried about the bombs, maybe the precise bombs is a good pick as your discovery on lvl 2.
It lets you exclude from your splash an amount of targets equal to your intelligence modifier.
When my alchemist joined a group, they were happy to hear i had it.
Firewarden Yanda
|
She actually has The Silverhex Chronicles so this one will get her two XP, if she survives. I forgot about it because it is played with pregens so this is the first time I actually played Yanda. I could and would definitely play Mists and Murder with her.
As for precise bombs, I can't get it soon enough.
Firewarden Yanda
|
Before I decide on anything, if I lob a bomb or acid flask at the chaplain will it break him loose from the tanglefoot mess?
Firewarden Yanda
|
Ha! Just bought a Player folio. I'm tired of not having those rerolls when I need them. Should be here in time for the fort roll to avoid dying, though I have a bad feeling it won't help.
But the tanglefoot bag gives him a -4 dex so maybe I did hit him!
Firewarden Yanda
|
Quote from other thread ...Yanda foregoes the grabbing of the wand, as that prevents you from lobbing your flask...
I forgot that pulling a bomb and throwing it is a standard, while pulling a flask and throwing it is a move+standard. I have a lot to learn from this character. To me flasks and bombs seem interchangeable but they just aren't.
MAN, that was a close one. I am SO stocking up on CLW and extra flasks after that mess. I was not expecting such a close fight in a low level scenario. I think that having a very squishy monk and the rolls Galtor had contributed heavily to the prolonged pain too. Did Galtor hit even once? I don't think so. Just one long odd combat.
Painful, suspenseful, and very fun.

I've changed my mind and think I can squeeze in another campaign with my other games.
I will join you guys for future games if Chyrone still has room.
Possibly not this character - I haven't decided yet.
Erlathan

No day job here, and you should have my e-mail by now ;)
This will be Erlathan's second chronicle.

Day Job: Craft Alchemy + Crafter's fortune
Day Job Roll: 1d20 + 8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 8 + 5 = 19
Does the 'Alchemical Adept' trait come into play on this? It says "you gain a +2 trait bonus on all Craft (alchemy) checks made to craft alchemical items."
This bonus was not added in since I don't know if it applies.
Firewarden Yanda
|
It's a must-have spell/extract for alchemists/wizards/sorcerers and gives a +5 bonus to the next craft roll. Since it is post-scenario you can memorize/prepare it and use it for your day job roll.
Firewarden Yanda
|
You don't have the extract on your sheet, though.
Day jobs are done with what you know when the mission concludes, i've not seen them done with things learned after that point.
Its under the section on gear which includes her formula book. The extracts section has the currently prepared extracts. She can prepare any extract from her book on any given day.
Much like the difference between prepared spells and the spellbook.

Erlathan will wait until the party puts the nagaji tea on the table to have a post-mission drink, then carefully switches his tea with someone else's when they're not looking.
SoH: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Hehe. Ah, I should have put this in Gameplay
| Chyrone |
With whom?: 1d4 ⇒ 4
Perc Inu: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
-------------
Tea sequence:
Erlathan carefully tries to swap his own tea with that of Inu.
Inu apparently doesn't notice.
When the others down their tea, which to the nagaj's word is of exellent fragrance and temperature, they seem to be fine, even Inu.
Erlathan however...isn't feeling too well. And asks for the nearest lavatory.
Click only if you dare.
Erlathan
|
Erlathan stumbles back to the table clutching his stomach after losing his dinner, lunch, and breakfast, and yesterday's dinner as well.
"ugh... never.. trust.. a nagaji..." He's barely audible as he sits with his head down.
Ah, so the elf tea was for elves only, and the others were not meant for elves?
Firewarden Yanda

I'd like to stick with Yanda and recruit meatshield.
Erlathan
|
I just have some purchases to make, Chyrone. I'll keep Erlathan in, but if we don't find a meatshield, Serge may come along :)
| Chyrone |
I wonder if Inu is even going to respond, at all.
His last post was late September, and a PM didn't get a response, while his alias and main profile did post.
I sent him another PM while i was making the chronicles, no response yet.
So i'd not count on Inu.
Edit:
What mission would you guys like to do first.
Go to the museum, at Mists of Mwangi, or go escorting a desert caravan?
Erlathan
|
Whichever one has the least possibility of dying... ;)
I don't feel like escorting something again just yet, so what do you guys think of the museum mission?
Firewarden Yanda
|
I like the Paladin - combo meatshield and healing. Speaking of healing, a alchemist can use a wand of CLW. I'm going to spend 2PP to pick one up between scenarios. Could you put it on one of the two chronicles - doesn't matter which..
Erlathan
|
I will absolutely be picking up a wand as well, although it will likely be infernal.
Boldren The Tarnished
|
I am OK with Mists.
I see you made an attempt to reconnect with Inu with no success, so I am going to assume he is MIA for the next scenario. What about Galtorr? Is he going to be joining us, or is he still MIA?
Chyrone, I sent you another PM requesting the chronicle. For some reason I didn't receive it. You should consider linking the chronicles from your google drive. It simplifies things and eliminates the whole Email thing.
As for the next scenario and switching characters. If we don't recruit a healer, I will be switching. I currently have a couple healer type characters that are in the 3-ish level. In order to retain some resemblance of balance, I would prefer to bring a level 1-2 character, which I have one that I have been considering reworking. If i'm going to do that, I will need a little time to decided what to remake him into.
As it stands right now, we have an: Arcanist (Arcane), Alchemist (Arcane), Rogue (Skills & trapps), and a Wizard (Arcane). With arcane and skills covered, we could use a strong melee, healer, and a face character. If we are running with (5), which is more than acceptable, then I will either bring a melee (If we recruit a healer), or a healer (if we recruit a melee). I will attempt to create one of each to be prepared.
