If you want, feel free to add a +1 to your rolls, Hiko is not miserly with her orisons...
And in the spirit of self-perfection, Hiko is going to try something she is not skilled at, if allowed. Bluff aid with guidance: 1d20 ⇒ 16

![]() |

Singing bluff, guidance: 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 11 + 1 = 19
Assuming Raoul shares his knowledge
Don't call me that! And you know all to well what I'm talking about. What is this nonsense you sent me?
At 23 so far
--edit-- Ninja'd by Raoul (see below), now at 25...

"Prince of Sigils? Thurl has been referred to by that name in the past by this entity. Interesting." Raoul hands the chalk over to Fissa.
"My good man, I cannot think of a good bluff to evade this direct questioning, but we must find out about these reagents - what they were. With that knowledge, we may be able to ascertain what the purpose for them is. Good luck."
Before Fissa begins to write, Raoul will touch the bard lightly on the temple, providing him a diviner's blessin +2 insight bonus to the roll.
Ninja'd. Fissa, don't forget to add the +2 from my diviner's fortune and the +2 from Hiko's assist.
Ninja'd again. I see you added them.

After a few minutes, the writings take life once again on the wall.
"How you love this nickname of yours! I can't resist an opportunity to taunt you, Thurl. That being said, can you describe what you received? That would help me in knowing what went wrong. I can't believe you came back, even now that the Society is after you. Do you know anything about their plans for you, or what their agents sent after you are like?"

![]() |

"Any ideas on what we should do now? Perhaps we could state something about half of the supplies being spoiled or something of that sort and maybe disavow knowledge of some of the agents? We could mention Valais and others were good experiment fodder... though only with her permission, of course," Hiko states after a minute or so of thought.

![]() |

Raoul, did you actually get an idea of what kind of items these two have traded? A generic hunch would already work wonders, but maybe there is a specific ordering list somewhere?
Fissa then proceeds to write on the chalkboard The society is of no consequence, I have them in my pocket. Sure, they're searching my lodge, but my basement is a secret to them. The wares you sent me, they are not of the same power as what you sent before. Practically inert. What are you trying to pull on me?

![]() |

"I only delivered what you wanted. Those parts are among the most powerful you could dream of, and from what you told me it's you who is going to bring them to life. Are you making a pitiful attempt at having me lowering my prices for the next delivery? If that's the case, you make me laugh, dwarf. By the way, don't you recall that it is you who owes me a favor?"
Sense Motive checks please.

![]() |

Sense Motive/Sing: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27

![]() |

Now there's some information!
Go ask your sisters for favours, you won't find them here. You put me in a bad enough spot with those poor reagents. And my ally is too busy with other issues now, isn't he?
Fissa tries his best to find the right condescending tone that Thurl would use.

![]() |

Fissa puts back the piece of chalk, his trembling betraying his nervousness.
Well, that went well. So - eh - let's be careful around this friend of Thurl's, shall we?
Let's move down that larvae-filled hall/

![]() |

The popping and fizzing of bubbling liquid echoes throughout this rectangular chamber. To the west, a platform towers fifteen feet over the rest of the room. A steel grate extends from this platform like a bridge to a large metal cauldron suspended by rusty chains above the floor. Steep steps descend around support pillars to the level below and a pair of iron doors to the east.
Valais, who was still in shock after Jory's monstrous act, opens her eyes wide and whispers: "This is where I woke up, when I discovered who I was now. It was here that Thurl told me “It seemed like you wanted to learn what I was up to, Pathfinder. Think of this as the first step in teaching you. Ah, but your growth is not yet done.” The next thing I knew, I was in one of the vats we saw earlier, begging for someone to slice the dwarf's throat and end this madness..."

![]() |

Fissa whispers to Kawrock I think she means the large tanks near the entrance.

![]() |

Kilgharra, we need to see the contents of the cauldron, be a dear for me.
Obeying Shazzara's mental command, Kilgharra climbs up the wall and across the ceiling to peer into the vat.
Once Kilgharra has a good point of view, Shazzara will use Bond Senses to look into the cauldron as well.

Kilgharra is able to tell his mistress that the cauldron is filled with a gooey, scalding sludge. As the eidolon is about to come down, however, two stitched creations emerge from the cauldron and fling the boiling sludge at Kilgharra. The disgusting goo proves to be boiling blood!

Oops, I didn't notice it was the monsters' turn again. Here goes:
Both demon-like things fly down on Kilgharra, attempting to bite the eidolon. One of them manages to tear through the eidolon's flesh, burning through the toughened skin with its abyssal maw.

Fissa starts a performance, to inspire courage:
From my laboratory in the castle east
To the master bedroom where the vampires feast
The ghouls all came from their humble abodes
To get a jolt from my electrodes

Hiko moves Up behind the two melee combatants and casts Strength Surge on Kilgharra. While moving she draws Jory's wand, if possible, don't remember if that rule can apply to wands, and I don't want to look it up. If not she will next turn.

![]() |

Draw or Sheathe a Weapon
Drawing a weapon so that you can use it in combat, or putting it away so that you have a free hand, requires a move action. This action also applies to weapon-like objects carried in easy reach, such as wands. If your weapon or weapon-like object is stored in a pack or otherwise out of easy reach, treat this action as retrieving a stored item.
Bottom line, it actually depends on where Jory stored the wand. Jory is up anyway, so I'll wait for an answer from him until I resolve the matter.
Jory and Raoul, please act! If you haven't acted by tonight, I'll have you delay since no notice was left about being away or so.

Jory fires his cold iron arrows at the injured demon thing first using his concentration ability. He grunts with satisfaction as the last of three arrows sinks quite deeply into the demon.

The first demon falls to Jory's arrows, the last one piercing his skull deeply. The eidolon slumps to the ground, lifeless.
Delaying Raoul, I don't want to wait forever.
The remaining eidolon unleashes his fury onto Kawrock, lashing at him with his claws and maw alike. Yet only one of his claws manages to scratch the tengu. 3 physical damage, plus 2 fire damage.
