Thanks for sticking with us Ardisen!
Better decision-making would have ended this fight several rounds sooner, but I think we can pull it off at this point and keep everyone alive at least. Hopefully we can compete the mission too.
Anyway, having you to lead the way in the investigation was critical, and you and Hedra spared us from that very powerful magical trap, so there's no questioning the value of your contributions. But it definitely sucks when the enemy are the wrong type and effectively shut down what you do best.
I thought I was better prepared for this exact sort of fight. And while it's been rewarding to go toe-to-toe, hammer and tongs with the bad guys, I wish it wasn't taking quite so long for us to see some success...

I think we should chance the teleport. If.we rushs.in I'm afraid the Xill will go for a coup de grace, and we really need all these folks alive.
Is that OK with everyone?

Reminder about final buffs: Align Weapon and Divine Favor on me. Blessing if Fervor for everyone.
I will take the AC/attack/saves bonus on the way in.
Orik has my +3 sword again, if he wants it, or he can have the aligned blade if he prefers.

Don't forget about bless cast by Hedra and the Allying bonus for your non magical sword :)
Hedra will choose the +2AC/Att/Ref from BoF

Who all is being teleported?

If it looks like Jahani does not want to follow, I'd rather spend a few rounds to reassure her. If the spells expire, so be it. But I thought they're valuable enough to be worth trying to hurry along.

Actually, here is my current spell loadout:
Level 5 (2/day):Breath of Life, Righteous Might (domain)
Level 4 (4/day): Blessing of Fervor x1 Bof x1, Holy Smite x2 (domain)
Level 3 (5/day): Daylight, Invisibility Purge, [open], Searing Light x2(domain)
Level 2 (6/day): Lesser Restoration x2, [open], [open], Align Weapon (domain)
Level 1 (6/day): Comprehend Languages, Divine Favor x2, Liberating Command x2, Protection from Evil (domain)
Level 0: Detect Magic, Guidance, Light, Read Magic
I think we're in too much of a hurry for me to spend 15 minutes praying to fill my open slots, but I do have 1 more Blessing of Fervor, so if our current buff expire, it's not the end of the world.

Here are the chronicle sheets for this scenario. Please make sure that your download and print them, because they won't stay on my cloud forever, and I won't re-issue them later.
You'll notice that you haven't earned full gold and that some items are missing, that's because the Blackfire wizard (who was the boss and unfortunately for you, the best-equipped character in the scenario) escaped.
I hope you enjoyed this scenario!
Hedra Dreamcaster |
Thanks for running Lithrac !
Hope you enjoyed as much as us this game.
I hope Oswin enjoy playing with a true cleric of Aroden :-)

Indeed I did Hedra! It's kind of funny, I hadn't thought of Iomedae as a "usurper" before. It added a nice touch.
Thanks and thanks again for seeing this game through Lithrac! I've felt that GM burden keenly, and only now after a couple months off have I started again (and feeling pretty excited for my game).
It was too bad about the enemy caster, but at least we made it out alive with the hostages. It was fun. Oswin got to "smite" some wicked creatures, and skirt the Law of Man at the same time.
When I GM'ed this game, the party's magus (Darius Swiftblade, GM Lithrac at least knows this PC) went invisible, flying, bladed dash and one-shotted either the caster or her pet Xill. He was level 8 or 9, and we were playing low tier. This way was definitely harder!

I was playing in that game with my oracle, actually. It was kinda funny because I didn't realize she was the boss until much later, when I read the scenario while preparing it for this game. Darius is very optimized (so is his inquisitor), but he speeds the games a lot!
