I'd like to change my action

More than anything else, Miko sees that her friends need time, so she takes out an old piece of goblin firework that she has been carrying around, light it, and tries to send it flying at the big blue creature.

Lighting a skyrocket. Will take flight next round. Moving a bit closer now. I think the range to above the cliff is 70 feet now?

Also, keeping up inspiration. Loudly

I was just hoping to get its attention. Seeing my friends huddled up against that wall, it was all I could do, really.

Vincent attempts to climb the cliff while the beast is blinded, maneuvering himself around to a better attacking position.

Spend 60 ft of movement to climb the remaining 15 feet up, then move 20 ft into position, drawing sword as he goes. I'm fairly sure I don't provoke if it's blind (due to the total concealment).

Vyk drew his scimitar.

"Chance or not. Friends should be laid to rest."

He looked to Dylara.

"You might want to look away."

He then brought down the blade of his scimitar down into the dead creature's flesh, and began slicing it open.

Miko stops her singing.

---
When the blue creature fell, silence returned to the canyon. Only the eerie sound of wind rustling through the sand remained. The sickening sound of a blade cutting through hard, exoskeletal shields sounded dull, faded, far away. There was little hope, and the burning sun offered little solace. We were still on a hunt - none of that had changed - though the world itself seemed to have paused for a moment...

"I won't," Dylara tells Vyk and uses his own weapon to him cut Melon out of the creature.

It takes a while to locate the creature's stomach, but once found it's easy to cut it open and reveal Melon. The creature never had a chance to start digesting the roc, but the bird's in awful shape. Broken, bent, and covered in gastric acid and goo all over. Dylara sheets her longsword and mutters something while waving her hand, casting create water to clean her friend. She goes about cleaning Melon as quick as she can, her expression one of determination instead of grief.

"The Society," Dylara says when done removing the worst of the gastric acid and goo. "We have to be quick anyway for our mission. Come back here with me later. If we take her with us they can bring her back."

After a moment of silence Dylara's emotions start to seep through the cracks of the mask she tries to keep in place, and with it tears pour from the corners of her eyes. "She can come back... I know it's possible..."

Dylara wipes the tears away and slowly steps away from Melon. The latter clearly takes a lot of effort for her to do. "Let's hurry..."

She tries to help the others as best as she can to determine which way to go, looking for tracks of the people who came before the party.

When Dylara moves away from her friend, Tuich steps forward and gently takes her into a long hug. "I'm so sorry," she says quietly.

After a time she lets her arms fall and takes Dylara's hands in her own. "Ashava is my patron, Dylara. She helps guide lost souls, but when they come too soon..." Her silks rippled, and she swallowed hard.

"I'm not learned enough or powerful enough to restore life, but with Tooley's help, wielding the Sage's power..." She looked over at Melon's unmoving body. "I think I can invoke Ashava's grace to protect your friend for a time, maybe until we can find someone who can help. I can try, anyway... if you'll allow it?"

While the strong winds and hard ground make tracking impossilbe, Dylara knows from here experiences in the wild that through the canyon is the most logical direction to go.

The way forward slopes downward into an area with many natural stone arches and hoodoos made of red sand stone. The late afternoon sun beats down, making the area heat up like a brick oven.

Need 2 fort saves from everyone.

Every now and then there is a scrap of cloth or empty bottle along the way, confirming you are still on the trail of your target. As the sun begins it's decent the path forward begins to climb again. It will be night soon and the Pathfinders have a decision to make. Should they make camp for the night or push on after the ones with the sage jewels.

As you have done previously healing will keep the group at it's current pace.

The land scape opens up into a large valley and up on one of the peaks a few miles ahead a camp fire can be seen in the darkness. As the Pathfinders begin the climb toward the camp fire they flame suddenly goes out. The air also begins to thin and each member of the group finds it difficult to breath.

Everyone Fort save:
DC 15 or fatigued do to lack of oxygen.

Reaching the remains of the camp fire it is obvious that the fire was hastily extinguished. It looks like the only items left behind are some bloody bandages and there is a clear trail for the Pathfinders to follow.
