"Oh, bugger, I hate these things, err, Whassaaaah! Ah, crap, Wassaaah? This isn't the ninties, how do I delete this, oh damn, it, errrr..."
Hey all, delighted to be onboard, this is my first time trying my hand at Society play so please feel free to point and laugh, constructively, if I goof!
DM Kludde, can I ask where in Golarion we begin? I'll probably have Radnor be from close at hand and I'd like to flesh out a backstory before we get rolling.

Hey all. Desert elf from Osirion here. 1st pfs for me too. Let's have fun.
Suggestions on equiment I should buy? I want a longbow but thats as far as i got. Havent really played a wizard before.

Hmmm, I love Wizards, personally I always take at least two spell component pouches, pick up a travel spellbook which I put half my spells in, and I love spring loaded wrist sheathes. The other biggy for wizards IMO is a MW backpack, the extra carrying capacity is a godsend for 50gp. You could also pick up a Haramaki to improve your AC, though I personally find them rather cheesy and I'm not sure they are PFS legal.
Looking at your stats I'd say go with a light crossbow at this point, it may take a move action to load, but it does more damage than a longbow for you since it won't incorporate your negative strength mod and its far cheaper. Pick up a bow once its worth your while, or more likely simply take one from a fallen foe. Eh, ignore that, you want a bow get a bow, sometiems I have to beat back the power gamer inside me!

I'm afraid not,
Description: You need two hands to use a bow, regardless of its size. A longbow is too unwieldy to use while you are mounted. If you have a penalty for low Strength, apply it to damage rolls when you use a longbow.

Wow, I've really been failing my perception rolls, says we are just outside Absalom in the first post. D'oh! Okay I can work with that, and work on my reading comprehension while I'm at it :p

Yes, looking at the guide you can buy potions and oils of 0 or 1st level spells so long as their price is 50gp or less. There is a list of always available items in chapter 5 of the PFS Guidebook.

Swapped skill points from UMD to Craft Carpentry, and Keros Oil for a second spring loaded wrsit sheath, also changed deity from Iomedae to Cayden Cailean. This was in response to background which is now in this alias's profile.

Yes, we can learn from each other's spellbook at no additional cost. We'll only have to pay to scribing cost (10gp for a level 1 spell, I think). Shall we exchange at the end of the session? I don't have any gold to pay for the scribing costs right now.

I've opened the gameplay thread. Feel free to post, but I will hold moving forward a bit until the last player has joined (wanderer82, who is building a halfling).
Just for reference, the default format to post is Bold for speech, for thoughts , the ooc tag for out-of-character banter.
Dice are rolled using the dice tag
Example dice roll: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
Yep, potions are available. Cure light wounds for 50 gp is a good deal, and highly recommendable if you have the money to spare.

I've created this alias to use when I'm only performing actions for Nuzzle, and the alias pic should serve nicely as his image for maps.
I'll wait on the dogs actions before giving mine, unless they are not up before I need to go to work tomorrow night in which case I'll post assumptive actions.

Can you elaborate upon how difficult a climb up to the next floor appears please DM Kludde? From the first post I got the indication that multiple floors were "open" by the collapse, but not how many, or how high each floor is, etc. Sorry if I've missed something.
Would simply piling up rubble to make a makeshift stair be viable?

Okay, that last combat may have been a bit chaotic. This is how I saw it happen
23 - Renli (tie-break, higher dex)- Delaying, drawing club (moving into room?)
23 - Aliben - Move into room towards altar furthest from skeleton (I moved you to middle of room to avoid skeletons)
20 - Aetherys - Delay
19 - Negi - Delay
17 - Nuzzle - Whomp skeleton, 8 damage. Skeleton dies, explodes, wipes out nuzzle
16 - Radnor - Moves toward same skeleton as nuzzle, attack (admittedly delayed)
9 - Xan-Tei, fires arrows hits skeleton (3 damage) <—- technically, XT moves, so didn’t have full attack :/
8 - Skeleton: move up to aliben, attack
23 - Renli - Whomps skeleton, skelton dies, explodes, combat over
But then again, most of the posting was done at an airport, 6am, so I might have missed something.

My apologies for the delay over the past two days. I am traveling for business now through next Thursday and I will have spotty internet access. I will endeavor to make it on once a day, internet connection hopefully being stable.

Can I just recommend google drawing for maps - sorry if I already have - it makes everyone's lives so much easier and players being able to move their own "minis" is a godsend.
| DM Kludde |
I can give it a shot, but I need your help.
This is a map that will come up later:
I'm on a mac. I can't seem to directly drag tokens onto the drawing (from safari). Any hints (-I know you can do it yourself, but I need to add some monster token as well-)?
| DM Kludde |
I have a bit more time available this week than next week. Seeing as how we are almost at the end of the module, could I already have your PFS numbers, so I can start preparing the reporting?
Radnor Acton
|
PFS number 113331-1, day job roll includes the bonus for masterwork artisan's tools which Radnor will be purchasing straight after the adventure, I think that works, please let me know if not.
Day Job (Craft Carpentry) inc. MWAT: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Clearly Radnor and Aetherys went out for a victory drink and had sore heads the next day!
| DM Kludde |
Negi, can you double-check that? It doesn't register at the moment. Also, is that the XXXXX-1 character?
Radnor Acton
|
Regarding google drawing, I never drag tokens on I just use the insert picture option which allows you to enter either a URL or upload from your HD. Once they are on the map I have no problem moving them, etc., just be sure to set it so that anyone who has the link can edit. Maybe see if that method works for you?
| DM Kludde |
Ok, got it!

I'm purchasing a set of MW Artisan's Tools, and paying for the spell MW Transformation to be cast on my lance for 360gp and two scrolls of shield.
I actually got Radnor's Craft Carpentry modifier wrong - forgot to cancel out the penalty for no tools - so its +7, but this makes no difference to the GP result and so does not seem to be an issue.
Swapping out Mount for Rejuvenate Eidolon, Lesser, with which I heal up Nuzzle in downtime.
