@Amsheagar: Can't you have it upgraded for the difference in the prices? I'm pretty sure it would only cost you 42,000 (50K-8K) not the 45,500 you are currently paying.

I thought that only worked on armor. If I can, the. Sure. It would save me a lot of money.

yeah I'm pretty sure you can upgrade any magic item to a more powerful version of the same item. You just can't create a custom item through that process.

Now that we are of a higher level, I'm tempted to bring my alchemist. He went through EotT, and has some Wardens credits. I think he might be in the correct level range (perhaps higher than most), but he might be more in line with group as far as power.

Update:

I'll be leaving for Florida tomorrow to work on our fields down there for at least a week, probably closer to 10-11 days. While I'm there I won't be able to post as often as I normally do so I might be running a little slow. I'll do my best to keep up though! Feel free to bot me if needed.

Just wanted to give you an update:

I thought I was going to be heading home tomorrow but my trip has been extended so I won't be back until Friday at the earliest. Unfortunately that means my posting is still going to be very slow until then. We are putting in 9+ hour days in the field down here to finish our work as soon as possible and after that I just usually don't have the energy to update all of my games. I will do what I can though and thanks again for being patient!

Ah, plant biology. One of the few arms of science that cannot capture my attention at all. Luckily we have people like you to do such things, as I would be bored out of my skull. LOL

Good luck with all that, and we look forward to you returning (especially me, as the grumpy druids are so grumpy). :)

Heh. Hey, Jebediah has been slowly improving his Charisma - he went from a 7 to an 12 after the last module, and at the end of this one, he will hit 17 ;-)

Actually, we're not so much a botany/plant biology lab but a genetics lab, although that obviously involves some plant biology and botany when you are dealing with a plant system like teosinte and maize. Fine distinction but I thought I'd point that out. My thesis involves finding the genetic change that causes stable maize ears compared to loose teosinte seeds which "shatter" (fall off the plant at maturity).

And when I graduate I hope to return to the family farm and never do this type of research again, lol.

Found a new spell I'll definitely be picking up with a Page of Spell Knowledge after this adventure. It's called Splinter Spell Resistance, and it can reduce a target's spell resistance by 5 per round for a minute per level. Pretty awesome! I just need to cast it on one of you guys that actually use weapons... which means Ezrek more than likely.

Okay, I looked up the spell template for 'line', and it seems you're right. You hit the third vampire for maximum cheese.

Okay, What heals do we have left.

I am currently holding 2 CSW Potions and a wand of CMW that has 41 charges. (38 after i just used 3.)

Unfortunately, Nalshene has depleted her healing capabilities completely. She'll be happy to buy a wand (or five) of CMW before the next module to use on the party, if Amsheagar would be willing to use some more charges on her and Narshala.

Okay, since i've been busy, and i thought my character was stunned, i haven't been paying too much attention. As it stands, in earth elemental form, Amsheagar's health is a whopping 163, and now with all the damage he would have taken being stunned, would have brought him down to -23. However, that is if he was stunned... which we all assumed he was. Looking at the spell Power Word Stun it's target is one creature with 150 hp or less. So, the spell wouldn't have had an effect on him and only 2 attacks would have gotten through his AC of 36, bringing him down only 33 points of damage.

Guys... before Amsheagar shifted into his elemental form... several times ago.. he dropped his back. Seeing as we were sitting down for the night, it should be laying around. Inside of it is 2 scrolls of breath of life and 4 of death ward.

Okay all, i am gonna shift over to here for spell selection. Since we, as a group of pc, know what we can do and know how we can work together to complete this campaign.

Well, mine are mostly set since I'm a spontaneous caster. I can prepare two spells with versatile spontaneity and my ring of spell knowledge. Complementing my spells known would probably be good.

I'm also stuck with spells known. Feel free to recommend tactics or requests buffs.

My best guess is that this combat will last another six game-time seconds. It's the last of the bunch, so now would be a good time to roll for day jobs if you haven't done so already.

Also, I'd like to announce here that at the end of this game, I will not be continuing with the next game. It's been a great run, but I really doubt I'll be able to offer much more of a challenge than I have so far.

For what it is worth, the last couple of combats had me reasonably worried (especially the vampire encounter, and the ambush whilst we rested).

Yeah, that encounter could have been much worse.. Still wondering how they knew where we were. 3:) Thanks again for all these games. I think it's about time i put Amsheagar out to paster anyways.
