In the blink of an eye, Ragnar down the two diminutive fairies in what seems like a single stroke of the blade, while Salena moves up. Sam's missile slams unerringly into Lady Gormandelle, and some of the strange teeth fall to the floor.

Kaylee steps forward through the water to try to make room for her allies, then starts cheering her friends on.Staring bardic performance, +1 atk/dmg

Kaylee moves around and starts inspiring courage, while from up high, the fey creature casts a spell. Stop! it cries when it completes the spell, and addresses Ragnar you wouldn't hurt me like you did my daughters, would you?, adding a disturbing grim.

Charm person, Ragnar roll a will save. Note that he hasn't been threatened or attacked by any of the creatures yet.

Huh... I forgot to give Kaylee Spellcraft points. Dummy me. Given that she pretty much LIVES for casting charm spells, I'm gonna roll it untrained and see if Kludde thinks I can identify the spell.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

"There's some fairy woman holding teeth," Salena informs Theleb while double moving into the room.

Kaylee recognises the spell vaguely as an enchantment. It kind of looks like one of her own spells. Selena moves forward.

Kaylee continues to chant, moving forward a few feet toward the other fey.

Ragnar, don't forget the +1 vs. charm effects that you're getting from my inspire courage

"Don't listen to it, Ragnar! Ragnar, Ragnar, he's our man! If he can't do it.... someone else probably can!"

She then casts unnatural lust at that fey creature, beckoning it toward her. DC 17 Will save to resist, or it'll try to come down and caress her. If it would not normally have lustful feelings toward human females, it gets a +4 bonus.

Sv. vs. Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Ragnar's eyes seem to become blue as the spell takes over his mind. He nods to the fey creature and says, "Why would I attack you, m'lady. This was all a terrible misunderstanding. I am sorry for that." Retaining some of his own identity however, he adds, "Although they should have known better than to get so close to me." Nonetheless, he raises his voice to the others, "No more bloodshed! We can talk this through like civilized people. No need to act like barbarians!"

"Oh Ragnar, you silly goose! She's not the one you should be making googly eyes at!"

Since he's been affected by another creature, I'm pretty sure it's not PvP if I cast a charm person and try to counter her on the next turn, right? We'll see if she tries to fly down and make out with Kaylee first though. :)

Theleb will double move to the door ...

Ragnar is well under the sway of the Nixie. Kaylee tries to get a hold of the pixies' mind, but her spell just bounces off the first-worldly strangeness of the creature. Pity

Sam double moves to Kaylee's side splashing water all around.

Unfortunately no, it's not a musical or sound-based effect.

Sam splashes through the water to aid Kaylee.

Jaquilin will move forward and cast magic missile at the fey creature.
force: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

The magic missile slam into the nixie, who loses some more teeth. She take up her crossbow and fires it at Jaquilin in retaliation

Kaylee looks over at Ragnar, who seems confused as to why Jaquie would attack his friend.

"Silly Ragnar, I'm your friend, not that ugly little thing over there! You should hurt her!"

Casting charm person on Ragnar to counteract the nixie's spell. Will DC 17, and then Kaylee and the nixie will need to make opposed Charisma checks to be the one whose spell is actually affecting Ragnar. Cha: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

Moving forward Sam casts burning hands at the last fey boiling the water and turning everything in the spell's path into cinders.
Reflex DC 15 for half.
BH: 5d4 + 5 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 4, 2) + 5 = 20

Will save: 1d20 ⇒ 15 Ragnar shakes his head as Kaylee seems to cast another spell on him. So many conflicting thoughts, he thinks to himself as the battle around him seems to rage. I just need some time to rest, and it'll all pass... He steps aside, drops his sword - the ring of steel on stone reverberates throughout the room - and sits down with his back to one of the walls.
Ragnar went out of rage once he started speaking, and he'll pass this round if you agree DM.

Salena continues to double move forward.

"I'll reach you! Eventually!"

Now don't you dare fly to the other end of the room once I'm where you're now.

Kaylee tries to countercharm Ragnar, while Sam finds a more effective way of neutralising the spell: he simply burns the nixie to a crisp.The fey creature fall down into the water, surrounded by the various mismatched teeth she was keeping in her mouth.

RFX: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Sorry I've not been about. Work has added more hours and such.

Ragnar gets up and walks to the burnt corpse of the fey creature. "A pity," he says as he nudges the remains with his boot, "she could have had a better end." He then proceeds to search the surroundings and the corpses for anything of value.

There's a big bag of teeth floating around, pulled from all the taxidermic works here. Among the detritus is a meadowlark that is magical

Virml is still locked in the cage, the water reaching almost to his lips.

"We should probably get Virml out of the cage ... anybody good with locks?"
Theleb looks around for keys to the cage ...
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
"look, a fascinating feather token here."

"Ooh, locks? Like... not really? Like, anyone else?"
Kaylee isn't a lock-picker, but she'll gladly perform for someone (Inspire Competence) to make them do better at lockpicking.

With enrapturing performance, Kaylee can give someone a +3 on their Disable checks, so that'll help as long as SOMEONE is trained in it. If not, time to break a lock!

Guurrggll gurr! Virml says.

Sighing, Ragnar moves forward and tries to break the lock open, first by bashing the lock with the pommel of his sword, and then simply grabbing the cage door and trying to pull it out of place while emitting a rising growl, but his efforts are not really successful.

"Let me try," Salena says, and also hits the lock with the pommel of her sword.

"That was... ineffective..."

In a fit of rage Salena hits the cage's lock a couple more times. "Break already!"

Using a dagger and with Kaylee's help Sam tries to open the lock with a little more finesse.

Last I saw this one he was outside. How did he run past us to ended up inside this cage? Is this really Virml?

Through various means, the group is unable to open the cage, until Salena manages to force it with pure strength.

Thank you, thank you! Virml says, I have been locked in that cage for hours, and I was sure I would drown. The fox-man that appeared form the scroll - he locked me in the cage. When he first appeared, he must have put a spell on me - i only remember he said something about 'fey of the first world who imprisoned him', and 'demand a rematch'. Then he locked me here, turned himself into me, and left...

"... turned himself into me..."

Uh-oh, that's never good.

"Oh, so he's.. like... wearing you as a disguise! That's so rude! Why do you think he did that? Do you have a really hot girlfriend or something? Hehe!"

Ragnar rolls his eyes at Kaylee's last question. "The girl has a point - why did he lock you up and take your form instead of just killing you?"

"Fey of the first World? He must be ancient indeed." Jaquilin states as she looks over this whole event and leers over at Virml. "You claim he was some-kind of fox-man?"

"Should we head back and confront the faker?"

Salena looks around, at the water in the room. "Or should we fix this flood first...?"

"Let's go get him! We can do it, guys!"

The copycat has access to the master of scrolls and the paracountess. They may be in danger, we need to warn them now!

"The faker first; perhaps he could even provide information on stemming the flood?"

"I just want to make certain we aren't dealing with a double fake here..." Jaquilin says as she casts detect magic again, focusing on Virml. "Where has this flood been coming from? Did you read the scroll like the dopple-ganger stated? Over a stupid dare?"

SM: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16

L-Look, I was just in here...

...when I read a scroll and that creature appeared. From the scroll. He claimed to be a great bard, he claimed to be the greatest ever, and he sure was mesmerising.

Jaquilin detects no magic on Virml.

Why he didn't kill me? Maybe because he's not a murderer?

The water has been flooding in through the door ever since. I don't know where it comes from, but we should get out before the whole place is flooded!

From what the party has seen so far, the flooding comes from water streaming in from the level above Owl and Albatross.

"Hmmm ... let's check the level above on the way out."

Ragnar voices his opinion, "Yes, but let's clear this floor first, there are two other doors on the other side of the hallway."

"Ooh, yeah, leave no door unopened! That's the Pathfinder motto, right?? Or was it "kill everything and take all the gold"? No, that's not it. Oh, EXPLORE, REPORT, COOPERATE!! We've gotta EXPLORE those doors, guys! YAY!!"

Kaylee heads toward one of the doors, but knows better than to be the one that opens it, and waits for one of the meat-shields to do so.

So no warning for our masters? Sam seems disappointed at first but then just shrugs. Forward.

The party makes it way back up to the room of owl and albatros

Oh, it's them again.

then moves up the spiral staircase to the mezzanine level. There's a wooden floor 10 feet above the stack an overlooking it.

The a large creature, looking much like an oversize, four-eyes goldfish, squirting water all over the place. OoooOOOoooooOOO? the fish asks, Ooooo()oooOO()ooo!

Does anyone speak Aquan?

"Ooh, you speak really pretty, mister fish! But, like, I don't know what you're saying!"

"Well ... it seems that we have found the source of the flood yes?"

Ragnar winces. "Does anyone have some magic spell that can help us communicate? If not, I'll go get one of those birds here to translate for us. By force if necessary."
