Never one for subtlety Amiri kicks the double doors open. At the north end of this long room, a statue of a winged eye adorns a simple stone altar. Open pits of various sizes riddle the floor. A pair of stone doors hangs into each of the pits, with a texture similar to that of the surrounding ground. And in front of your group you can see the hunched figure of 3 hairy humanoid creatures, pointing their crossbows at you!

He stares directly at the nearby rat-man and brings his magic to bear, attempting to charm the creature and befriend it. "No need to be concerned, friend." He mutters as he pushes the magic out, completing the spell.

Honaire misses the ratfolk butValeros skewers him with a merciless thrust of his longsword
You can only move and attack once in PF. It's a much debated limitation for most martials but you cannot usually full attack after having moved, yet Valeros' single thrust is enough to kill off the ratfolk
Remaio cautiously moves closer to the fray shooting at the ratfolk in black with his shortbow as he advaces while keeping up his song.
Attack roll (Remaio vs Black): 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 1 - 4 - 4 = 10 -> Damage roll: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
The arrow doesn't miss the ratfolk by much, yet him being engaged in combat with Selthiel is enough to save the ceatire from an ignominous death.
I played the previous attack from Bikka as an AoO against Amiri for moving into a threatened square but Bikka didn't have her knife drawn so she cannot AoO. Therefore consider her previous roll as her current attack please

With a swift stroke of his scimitar Seltyiel finishes the last remaining ratfolk thief off.
On the floor you find several metal relics: a set of embossed bronze offering bowls, a string of prayer beads made of silver, and a collection of holy symbols of Aroden from different regions of Golarion. None of these is the bust you are searching for. Fortunately the backpack of the ratfolk killed by Amiri has it. The shiny bust of Honaria Alcasti. Seeing it Remaio is of course overjoyed and takes it for himself praising you as he does:"Excellent work! I knew I was right to ask for your help!" he says.
What do you wish to do? Explore some more or return to the basilica asap?
| Amiri, Kinslayer |
Amiri looks at the bronze bust dubiously.
"Doesn't look like much." She observes.
She pokes one of the ratfolk with her boot. "Any idea who would have hired these ones to steal it? Seems awfully convenient they do so now." Despite asking the question, she doesn't appear to be that interested in the answer.
