The sun shines down on Fallcrest on this beautiful mid-summer day. owns folk go about there business and children play in the streets.

The sound of hammering can be heard for block away. Inside Teldorthan’s Arms two of the master blacksmith's apprentices are hard at work. His young son Dorinthal, and his charge Kronag. The two had been at work since the early dawn with no signs of stopping.

Though taken in by their father the Ironhew brothers had little love for the half-orc. Seeing him as a hindrince and a black mark on the family name. To make matters worse Teldorthan had even taught him the family trade, treating him as an equal amongst the two.

This caused a unique rivalry in the smithy. Today was different though the eldest brother, Teldor, was away in the town of Winterhaven accuiring a package for his father. Without the eldest there to provoke the situation the two worked in relative peace.

Over the sounds of the loud "CLANGS" comes something else. Kronag moves to the rear entrance of the smithy there he hears and soon sees...

"Brazimal, my dear, I think I've taught you all I can. I've some arrangements. Starting today you'll be attending classes at the Septarch Tower. Nimozaran is an old friend and I've managed to get you in." Osiran smiled at the young girl...

Brazimal kept playing this mornings events in her mind. While she was excited about the chance to study under the old mage. She was also sad and scared. She would miss studying with Osiran and of course the she'd heard stories form adults and children alike about the Nimozaran. "Mean as devil, and twice as scary", "He's really a demon who eats the children"

As she makes her way through the Upper Quay she notices a woman and children running up from the Lower Quay. She makes her way to them and off over the cliff she see's smoke coming from the market...

Corrin awoke to another bringht day. Yawning he made his way down stairs, grabbed a bite to eat and made his way down to the Lower Quay.

Walking out of the house the looked around "Where's that cat gone off to now?" His wuestion is soon answered as the cat jumps from it's hiding place above and onto the younglings head.

"If were going down down there today you think you can catch me some fish?" The cat's voice rings in his head as it makes itself comfortable.

Corrin sighs and begins the trek down the sheer cliff wall. In the corner of his eyes he could swear if only for a moment saw movement. "What are you looking at?" The cat yawns and stretches from his moving perch.

A moment later Corrin can see smoke coming from the town market...

Male Halfling Sorcerer(Wild) 2

Today's resistance: Necrotic!

Corrin looks over to towards the market. "Come on. Lets see what's happening at the market." "But... the fish? "Oh, be quiet. I'll get you some fish at the market." He then tightens his headband and runs off towards the market.

Minor change to my sheet.

Female Tiefling Wizard 1 (XP 642)

Brazimal curiously looks out at the smoke.

"What's going on?"

Not clear to me -- is it the smoke and uproar that Kronag sees, or am I still waiting to find out? Thanks.

His attention caught by the noise, Kronag runs to the back and sees the smoke rising from the town center. "Dor', look! A fire! You better get your da."

Assuming Dorinthal goes:

Kronag starts to run for downtown, but barely reaches the street before remembering his duties. He hurries back into the smithy and takes care of any fire risk there. Then, if not interrupted, he races to join the crowd and see what's going on.

The day is long and dull. Just another day of watching over Kings Gate. Lareth shakes his head at yawing entrance. It's been years, more than he's even seen and the gates siter tower still remains in rubble. It's almost as if no one expects anyone to sneak into town.

Turning his to the north Lareth notices smoke rising from the center of Lowtown. "Something's wrong," he thinks to himself. The last time he remembers smoke coming from the center of town was when a fight broke out at the Lucky Gnome and the bar almost burnt to the ground.

Lareth quicky makes his way to the Green in hopes of finding the problem. The tall, lanky Sergeant Gerdrand grunts as the boy runs off.

Adrana follows Bruno through the wooded area near the bluffs. "What is it boy?" Earlier while out something seemed to spook the hound and he took off after it.

Going further she could swear she say movment. Something fast, small. Bruno barrels into the brush and begins growling. As Adrana catches up she sees what has him in a mood...

Sent on a errand, Jocarra entered Fallcrest. Her family was need of a few supplies in town and sent her to fetch them. The locals attitude toward her hadn't changed. Oeople avoided walking by her or even looking too long at her. Fearing she could see their deepest secrets. To make matters worse she had to go all the way to Sandercot Provisioners, the family couldn't afford to the goods at Halfmoon Trading.

As she approached the bluff heading into Lowtown, she could feel Eclipse pointing her to something below. For an instant she could have sworn to have seen something.

Once down she headed into the woods to see what it was. Finding herself in a clearing she begins her search. Not long though the brush beings to move. Jocarra gets reeady for whatever it may be.

Out from the brush emerges a growling hound, followed soon by a young girl...

Male 1/2 Elf Fighter 2 (Guardian)

Looking back over his shoulder as he runs off Lareth yells, "I think the lucky gnomes about to burn down again sergeant. I'll just go and check.

Thinking to himself I just hope those river rats aren't starting a ruckus again or I'll have a thing to say.

I head to the source of the smoke at best speed

As the two girls look at each other wondering what to do next, each of their respected beasts point out danger. Soon the smell of of smoke hits their noises. The smoke seems to be coming from the market...

Children laughed and played kick ball as the adults went about there business on the Green. Fresh fish and other foods. Trickets, livestock and other goods. All could be found on the Green. As merchants haggled prices over customers, no one noticed to crackling pots launched into the crowd.

By the Kronag, Brazimal, Lareth and the others arrive on the scene they see what remains of the marketfolk running from the blaze in amist the mob and flames multipule small reptilian frames. KOBOLDS!

Laz:

Spoiler:
I didn't say, but I think Kronag would have grabbed up his mace and sling -- that ok? He's probably not wearing his armor.

Kronag, horrified by the fire, nonetheless realizes that this is exactly the kind of situation he is best at and readies for a fight.

Jocarra was casually walking to town, dressed, as is normal for her in a mix of homespun cloth and doehide, her feet bare, as she kept them except in the winter. She had some sort of roast meat on the end of her spear, and would occassionally stop to rip some off and eat it.

When the dog appears, she smiles. "Are you wanting some badger too?" she asks, pulling a nice piece off and tossing it to the canine. As the smaller girl appears, Jocarra smiles once more, holding the spear out. "Badger?" she asks.

Then her head turns to the ghostly snake wrapped around her like a shawl. "What's that Eclipse? Yes, I agree, let's see what's happening. Maybe there will be more badgers. I could use practice cooking them."

Down into town she goes, not minding at all if the other girl comes along, but not thinking to introduce herself. When she sees the kobolds she frowns. "Not badgers at all!" she says, with a pout, then smiles. "But, they are like lizards. Maybe I can cook them. After they're dead."

She pulls what's left of the badger from her spear tip and tosses it to the side, grease rolling down her spear shaft and Elcipse slides off her, slithering along the ground to her left.

A hide bound kobold (SK) yips as the stall becomes consumed with flame. A sling wielding kobold leaps over the wooden stalls trying to get a better vantage point of the battle.

It takes a polished stone from it pouch and lets it fly at the half-orc.

SL uses it's sling on Kronag 1d20+6-5(Due to the stall block his path

Move to L19, then Deft Strike at K1, moving to K17 in the process.

F24 with bruno at g 24

Adrana grabs her Rapier and runs forward into the fight. Often times one would think her foolish if they didn't know who her mother and father were and the type of training they had given her at a young age. Bruno slips around a wagon trying to get a jump on the kobold as Adrana holds him off.

Careful Attack Vs. AC (1d20+10=16)

Damage (1d8=5)

Adrana moves to F18, while bruno slips around to A20

Kronag darts about the market place, but his target proves as agile if not more than himself. Running into battle Adrana plunges her blade into the Kobolds heart. It squeaks before crumpling over.

Moving to D19 if possible, or D20 if not. Acrobatics check to enter the stall, then Chaos Bolt on SK (vs Will): 25, (13, 18 Psychic)

K7 moves closer into the battle and stops between the two stalls. It seems he's waiting for something.

K9 looks confused on what to do, and who to attack. He eventually remains totally cover by the stall (Supreme Cover).

SL pops his head over the stall and lets another shot fly at the half-orc.
