Two Blades in the Shadows |
Seeing the others head for the archer, Two Blades scanned the area to make sure there were no other threats.

You can see that the while the ebb of the attack is slowing there are still lots of orcs approaching the breach, but for a few moments you have a respite.

"Someone wants some of this?"
Two Blades in the Shadows |
"If you are injured, gather around" Two Blades said as he gave a blessing.
Channel positive: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Only down 2 hp. once use of Channel expended.
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
How many wand charges can you use in round? I have never really thought about it, but in this case rounds matter.
Nirion |
You didn't say that rounds matter earlier. How could I know that we are still in the initiative if you do not write it down? Why did ours write "You have XX rounds to do what you want"
Terevalis Unctio of House Mysti |
This is what I wrote:
You can see that the while the ebb of the attack is slowing there are still lots of orcs approaching the breach, but for a few moments you have a respite.
I never said you were out of combat.
Nirion |
Sorry about my reaction. For how much CLW I have time before the next attack?
GM Aerondor |
Just dotting in for a moment. Your regularly scheduled waves of orcs will resume their attacks shortly.
Yet another wave of orcs, the biggest yet, crash through the gatehouse and into the courtyard. There look to be close on a dozen of the brutes. Several kneel down to pick up a battering ram, while others lead the way forward.

Please indicate your target by the border colour on the map.
You also have some special options available to you. The big bolder may be able to be rolled down the hill (STR check). Likewise there are bundles of logs tied to the outside of the barricade, and a bit of work (two rounds activity, or cutting the straps with a slashing weapon) might send them crashing down the hill too.
Nirion |
Nirion takes his scimitar and waits for orcs to come closer. (ready action)
GM Aerondor |
Niron realises that the eastern barriacde has a load of sharp stakes. With a bit of adjusting he could probably poke one of them into a charging orc rather than use his scimitar (and probably do a lot more damage...)
Your choice. Note for everyone, if you ready an action, please roll the action, and I'll have it activate if/when it happens. That makes the play much smoother for everyone as we don't have to wait, or rely on me remembering everyones special bonuses and special abilities.
Two Blades in the Shadows |
Two Blades stepped over to the rock and gave it a shot. Placing his foot on it, he gave steady pressure until it started moving. "Strike" he hollered like he was playing nine pins.
Str check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
I am not sure how much control the rock has but aim it so it it will go straight ahead to take out the battering ram

Yes, but the next wave may have more enemies so it might be better to keep that option for later
GM Aerondor |
The readying of the stakes is an action anyone behind the barricade can take, and is not limited in the number of times you can do it. The bundle of logs however can only be done once with each bundle.
Two blades moves over to help with the boulder.

Helios Sunscream |
I do not think a 14 will hit an even enlarged Helios.
Arg wait depends if he does get +5 on the hit and ignores attacking into melee? Even enlarged Helios should be?
Just asking, am perfectely fine with some javelin damage

I don't typiclaly include bonsues for the attackers rolls (apart from damage). That keeps a small element of surprise to their abilty, while also giving you a sense of how powerful they are. A rolled 14 does hit. But good point, I didn't include the barricade cover, so that was a miss.

"I see your blade and raise you two." Two Blades said as he poked at the orc through the barrier
"Ezren, please burn this group before they try to get over the barrier." he added.
Attack Blue orc. Not sure if we are using the 1st or 4th level version of Ezren but suggest using Burning Hands.
GM Aerondor |
EVeryone else is 4th, so I'm assuming the 4th level version of Ezren
Two blades sinks one of them into the close orc, while Ezren steps up and burns the nearby barricade, the yellow orc and the lizard. The Yellow orc drops and doesn't get up. The lizard just looks mad.
To keep things going, I'm assuming that Helios went for the lizard
The blue orc slashes at Niron with his Falchion, drawing blood. While the javelin thrower tosses one at Ezren and then closes in on the mage...

Niron trades blows with the blue orc but without much effect. The lizard however seems to have exerted itself beyond what it was able and drops to the ground.
