The shadow was not with you when you pre-cast anything. I'll assume that it can somehow sence Sir Geoffrey and arrive through the side of the ship at the end of the round, but no attack this round and no haste for it, not that the lack of haste really matters.

Okie dokie. Sorry about all the shadow confusion, I've only played a few games with him having it, and most of them have been PbP. I really haven't had to figure all this stuff out before with it's incorporealness and how its attacks work since it usually doesn't get much buffwise.
Made too many assumptions. =D

Logan did drop a Haste ahead of time. "Just before we descend into the room Logan will drop a Haste spell on the group and activate fleeting glance to gain improved invisibility. "
Does being grappled prevent firing a bow?

Quick question about your opinion of this.
Would Dimension Door get someone out of a grapple?
GM Aerondor
|
Yes, but I'd rule the "After using this spell, you can’t take any other actions until your next turn." line also applies to the other people you take.
And if you are grappled by someone with SR, I also think it would be reasonable for the SR to have to be overcome.

Not entirely following you.
Here's a FAQ clarifying that part of Dimension Door.
There is also no SR for the spell when it affects creatures.

But are you a "willing creature" if you can't move of your own free will? I'd rather get a conditional yes than an absolute no.

Some spells restrict you to willing targets only. Declaring yourself as a willing target is something that can be done at any time (even if you’re flat-footed or it isn’t your turn). Unconscious creatures are automatically considered willing, but a character who is conscious but immobile or helpless (such as one who is bound, cowering, grappling, paralyzed, pinned, or stunned) is not automatically willing.
Those two circumstances are independent.
I'm not expecting anything, I'll let it stand as is if the GM says "let it go."
GM Aerondor
|
I think the thing is that you are not automatically willing if you are grappled, so certain potentially harmful effects cannot be applied automatically to someone who is grappled (i.e. you can't teleport away with them, unless you have another ability that lets you do that).
That said, I do regard Ragnar as being in the possession of the tree at the moment, so SR does apply if Alvin wants to try it.
Thanks for the FAQ about the willing target. That opens up a lot of tactical options for folk DDing in with a rogue who then goes to town.
Sir Godfrey

We used that tactic in my Eyes group. Greater invis the rogue with the wizard, bard DDoor'ed him into combat, then pain.

We are pretty close to done.
Logan, can you confirm the chronicles that lesser versatile metamagic rod and level 2 page of spell knowledge come from so I can note that on your chronicle.
I'm guessing the pages are from Between the lines

Let me see if I understand the map correctly.
Ragnar is currently up some stairs. To his left is a lower level room with at least 2 grabby trees tthat may or may not have been fireballed.
Then 10 feet? up to the left is a raised area with a pit.
And further to the left up a tree is a paralyzed Xill.
Riddywipple is tiny so I think I can share a square with him without issue. So could I take a 5ft step down the stairs and full attack the pink Xill?
GM Aerondor
|
The tree has not been fireballed. There was an explosion from behind you back in the control room though.
For the sake of progress, I'll go with 5' step and make a full attack. The encounter is all but over.

Thank you for GMing Aerondor . A pleasure as always. Hard to find good high level Core these days.

Fixed. And hopefully I roll better during the game. The +10 is from filling 7 goals on the season 6 faction card for The Exchange. And +2 is from Green Market.
Edit: Just noticed a typo from 4 chronicles ago. Fame should be 48.
Would it be a bother to change the fame to 48? The prestige is correct.
No doubt the Xill eggs can be used as materials for spells and enchantments. Having access to so many Ragnar will attempt to undermine other sellers of exotic materials on the price. Profession Merchant DC 24: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (12) + 16 = 28
And succeeds. One more goal checked off.

Thanks.
Season 8. Undermine a rival entrepreneur or merchant.
I've finished season 6. We didn't do a combat encounter non violently which is the only season 7 goal left I could have done.
So I'm doing season 8 goals.

Would this count as an adventure which directly assisted an allied organisation of the society? The season 8 grand lodge faction card requirement reads:
Participate in an adventure that directly assists an NPC Pathfinder agent or agent of an allied organization, such as by
mounting a rescue, recovering an important object, or defending that group’s resources and reputation.
We were called in by the Harbormaster.
