![]() About Gwynnis Tilia-FacedGwynnis is a patient artisan and hunter, who believes beauty is good and evil is ugly. Female half-elf druid 1 / monk 9
Improved Evasion If Gwynnis makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save, she instead takes no damage. She takes only half damage on a failed save. Improved evasion can be used only if she is wearing light armor or no armor. Gwynnis does not gain the benefit of improved evasion while helpless. High Jump Gwynis adds her level to Acrobatics checks made to jump, and always counts as having a running start. By spending 1 point from her ki pool as a swift action, she gains a +20 bonus on Acrobatics checks made to jump for 1 round. Ki Pool The number of points in Gwynnis’ ki pool is equal to ½ her monk level + her Wis modifier. As long as she has at least 1 point in her ki pool, she can make a ki strike. Ki strike allows her unarmed attacks to be treated as cold iron, magic and silver weapons for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. By spending 1 point from her ki pool, Gwynnis can make one additional attack at her highest attack bonus when making a flurry of blows attack. In addition, she can spend 1 point to increase her speed by 20 feet for 1 round. Finally, Gwynnis can spend 1 point from her ki pool to give herself a +4 dodge bonus to AC for 1 round. Each of these powers is activated as a swift action. Storm Burst As a standard action, Gwynnis can create a storm burst targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. The storm burst deals 1d6 points of nonlethal damage +1 point for every two druid levels she possesses. In addition, the target is buffeted by winds and rain, causing it to take a -2 penalty on attack rolls for 1 round. She can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Wisdom modifier. Stunning Fist Gwynnis must declare that she is using this feat before she makes her attack roll (thus a failed attack roll ruins the attempt). Stunning Fist forces a foe damaged by her unarmed strike to make a Fortitude saving throw (DC 10 + ½ her character level + her Wis modifier), in addition to dealing damage normally. A defender who fails this saving throw is stunned for 1 round (until just before Gwynnis’ next turn). Instead, Gwynnis can choose to make the target sickened for 1 minute or fatigued. Wholeness of Body Gwynnis can heal her own wounds as a standard action. She can heal a number of hit points of damage equal to her monk level by using 2 points from her ki pool.
Chronicler Thrice per adventure before attempting an Acrobatics, Climb, Survival, or Swim check, Gwynnis gains a circumstance bonus equal to 1 plus half of the number of goals she has completed (9) when attempting the check. She also halves her armor check penalty for the purpose of this skill check. In addition, she can modify a Linguistics, Knowledge or Use Magic Device check, and attempt the check as if trained. Combat Boon As an immediate action, Gwynnis may reroll an attack before success is determined. She must accept the second roll, even if it's worse. Curious Pipefox Before attempting a Knowledge (history or religion) check, Gwynnis may treat her result as if it were 25, even if she is not trained in the skill. Alternatively, she may gain a +5 bonus on the check. Efreeti Arcana Gwynnis can cast scorching ray as a spell-like ability (CL 7th). Elemental Conquest Gwynnis gains a +1 insight bonus on saving throws against spells, spell-like abilities, and effects of creatures with the earth subtype and against spells with the acid or earth descriptors. While adventuring on the Plane of Earth, she instead gains a +1 insight bonus on all saving throws. As a swift action, she can gain DR 5/adamantine for 1 minute; this effect ends once it has prevented an amount of damage equal to 5 times her character level. Favor of Cartahegn While in a settlement of 5,000 people or more anywhere on the continent of Garund, Gwynnis may purchase mundane equipment (but not weapons or armor) through her favorable connections with House Cartahegn at a 10% discount. Fire Affinity (2) This boon has no mechanical afect on its own, but may interact with other boons. Nemesis Once per adventure, Gwynnis gains a +2 bonus on her next attack against an Aspis agent, and if she hits, she deals additional damage equal to the number of goals she has completed (8). Ranginori's Debt As a standard action, Gwynnis can cast one of the following as a spell-like ability: call lightning storm, cat's grace, cure critical wounds, fly, lesser restoration, lightning bolt, or shocking grasp. Scholar of the Gates Ajar Gwynnis gains a +2 competence bonus on Knowledge (planes or religion) checks regarding daemons, demons and devils. Spider’s Captor Gwynnis gains an official writ of appreciation from the People’s Council, granting her a +5 bonus on Diplomacy checks to influence a government official in Andoran. Tapestry Fast Travel When adventuring in either Absalom or Irrisen, Gwynnis is treated as being in both locations for the purposes of boons and vanities that are location-dependent. Teetering Alliance Gwynnis takes a -2 penalty on all Diplomacy, Bluff and Intimidate cheks against members of a Hellknight order. Warm Friend in a Cold Land Whenever Gwynnis is in Irrisen, she can apply a +2 circumstance bonus on all Diplomacy checks. Additionally, she may bring Uliyara along on one mission to any location, allowing her to grant her the effects of this boon outside of Irrisen. Zey's Gratitude Gwynnis may cast one of the following as a spell-like ability. Use her character level as the caster level, and use 20 when determining the spell DC: dispel magic, fireball, greater invisibility, or stoneskin.
Afraid to let her family see the carvings, Gwynnis would leave them in the Wood, often climbing trees to place one of her "guardians" in the cleft of a branch as a lookout. This simple habit changed the entire course of her life though, when one of those trees turned out to be the treant, Bumbirrumbiddlerub.
