The tunnels are a squeeze for a medium-sized or small-sized creature. They are also dark, so unless you have a light source, Ledt, you are going in blind.

I think both the enemies we know of are down now, just the archer hiding in the tunnels, and the troll...

Oggil heads back to the tunnels and squeezes himself into them, being able to see in the darkness.

Yeah, both of the creatures are down... sorry, I turned them red and transparent, but I guess it isn't clear.


Squeezing rules for reference:
Squeezing: In some cases, you may have to squeeze into or through an area that isn't as wide as the space you take up. You can squeeze through or into a space that is at least half as wide as your normal space. Each move into or through a narrow space counts as if it were 2 squares, and while squeezed in a narrow space, you take a –4 penalty on attack rolls and a –4 penalty to AC.

When a Large creature (which normally takes up 4 squares) squeezes into a space that's 1 square wide, the creature's miniature figure occupies 2 squares, centered on the line between the 2 squares. For a bigger creature, center the creature likewise in the area it squeezes into.

A creature can squeeze past a creature while moving but it can't end its movement in an occupied square.

To squeeze through or into a space less than half your space's width, you must use the Escape Artist skill. You can't attack while using Escape Artist to squeeze through or into a narrow space, you take a –4 penalty to AC, and you lose any Dexterity bonus to AC.

Ah, remember I wasn't here to see them before, which makes descriptions of the map a little confusing for me. In that case, Chip double moves into the tunnels. He has his Wayfinder going with light.

Alas, Oggil can't make it past the narrow section of tunnel at all. (That took a movement action, so you still have a standard from that point.)


Chip:
In the bouncing light of your wayfinder, you can see a hideous creature ahead. It carries a bow and a large quiver of arrows, worn over top of what appear to once have been noble's clothes. It's face is anything but noble, though, appearing like an emaciated skull barely covered with greyish skin. The creature's long tongue flicks in and out like a snake's, and its eyes burn with malevolence.

Drixl: The flaming sphere may make it through the wider tunnels, but you can't direct it it you can't see it. It probably wouldn't make it through the narrowest points, though.

Ledt: Right-o on the dancing lights; I forgot. :)

Trolls speak Giant. This one is not unconscious; it has been busily regenerating while you battled the other creatures. Its one arm is still bound, but its jaws are free, and the second arm is starting to grow back slowly as well.

Then casts grease at his feet in an attempt to avoid him running away.

Initiative order: Lasaraleen, Creepy guy with bow, Drixl, Chip, Ledt, Oggil, blue, Nemrok.

Lasaraleen heals Nemrok, who regains consciousness.

The creepy guy with the bow acts next (before Chip gets there), and grins at Ledt: a toothy grin with a mouth much wider than a normal human's. Despite his horrific appearance, there is something familiar about him, though... he wears torn clothing that was once quite fine, and other than the mouth he looks very similar to the face in the silver locket you found upstairs in the leshys' garden.

He drops his bow and moves to face Ledt, squeezing through the narrow passage. "So, Cheliax sends even more hounds to torment me, after all this time," he rasps. "Very well. Send the Queen Abrogail the First my regards!" He then snaps at Ledt, missing. bite, squeezed: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 Note: the -4 to hit is cancelled by the -4 to Ledt's AC

Drixl moves her flaming sphere onto the table below the troll. The creature screams and tries to move away from the flames, swinging this way and that.

Chip and Zipper move up, and spot the creature to their east.

Ledt, things have changed, so you, Nemrok, and Oggil are up!

Once Lasaraleen explains to him what happened he stands up and tries to see the creature.

Carefully avoiding the troll, Oggil heads back to the passage.

"As the farmer cannot fit into the rabbit hole, so must be tempt out the rabbit to eat it. "

He says in frustration.

Then the creatures words sink in.

"We are no servants of Abrogail. Nor are we messenger pigeons. We came to try and learn what happened here!" he calls out.

"Could you tell us the true story of the last days of this house?"

He makes frantic gestures to try and get the smaller pathfinders back into the main corridor where if battle is required, he can be of assistance.

Once away, he points to the creature and casts ray of enfeeblement. A black ray jumps forth from Ledt's right hand towards the creature.

Ledt leaps back from the creature and fires a ray at it. The black beam hits the creature square in the chest, but seems to have no visible effect. The monster smiles, and a long forked tongue nearly a foot lnog extrudes from its mouth like a snake. "SO like Abrogail's minions, to come here unlearned and unprepared! I gained much due to my unholy diet here, little one!"[b/]

[b]Oggil tries to engage the creature in conversation, but gets only a shouted response: "Liars! Trespassers on my house! I will slay you all and feast upon your flesh!"

Oggil: The very narrow passage you initially tried to enter was too narrow, but the other ones are wide enough to squeeze into.

Nemrok's words generate slightly more from the creature. "Pathfinders! So, you came to rob what you thought were the unguarded graves of my family? Let me show you the vengeance of the last heir of House Davian!"

Lasaraleen heals Nemrok of 8 points of damage and then moves up to behind Chip and Zipper.

The creature looks at Ledt as he retreats. "I think I'll start with you," he mutters, advancing down the tunnel.

Ledt screams once he feels the cold below his skin. The halfling futher retreats trying to avoid more attacks from the creature.

"He is there! Just in front of you Nemrok! I think he is dead! He is immune to my negative energy!" shouts the halfling holding up his hand, his hair crackling with electricity, unleashing then a ray of electrical power towards the creature.

Drixl keeps her shocking grasp readied.

The ghoul peeks out through the narrow crack between it and Nemrok, eying him up and down. "Hello, master," it hisses. "I will be with you shortly... must go around this crack, too narrow for even my skinny bones! I just need to feed upon this little one first... so.. hungry..." With that, it turns away and starts to move down the corridor towards Ledt (but you can interrupt it with your speech).

Sorry, moved Ledt back...talking is a free action, but movement happens on your turn. Until the Diplomacy roll, we were still in active combat.

Turning at Nemrok's request, the creature groans and then turns away from Ledt. "Yes, master, I will tell." He lopes back through the tunnel and emerges back in the room where the troll corpse burns.

End of combat! For now...

"I am Arenzio Davian, and I have been here a long time," the creature begins. "Since the day House Thrune laid siege. They would not let us out, and wanted us to starve. Only a few of us were left, but they were weak with hunger. It was so easy, to feed..." He licks his lips hungrily, eyeing the others around him. "Maybe Master has brought me a present?" he inquires hopefully. "Something to sate my hunger? A treat, perhaps? Just a little one... no one will miss a little one. Maybe the one with the big nose, or the hairy one?" He gestures to Chip and Zipper.
