Yes, you convinced Valsog to sabotage his own wares, but these Ifrit will not have the damaged gear yet. Their armor looks very sturdy and they carry shortswords of at least mediocre quality.

Thanks.
I wish that initiate a talk first with those ifrit proposing an alternative to violence to reach their end. Could we?

You are welcome to try, be sure to include the appropriate skill check. =)

I'm so torn.
Rae could theoretically shut this down right now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea.
He could attempt to Fascinate three of them (including the apparent leader) and then Suggest to the leader if it sticks that everyone stand down.
Unfortunately, that'd leave one outstanding and would entirely rip this sucker open...
EDIT: Well, in retrospect it was probably a good thing he didn't do that, but seriously, what's with the freakin' dice hate?

![]() |

Well, I thought I would post, but whatever I might have said would probably have just gotten in the way.
I hope that we took the right approach here. I'm not really sure how to employ our alchemist friend either.

![]() |

Buffing is good. Rae will drop a Triple time for the party, and there may be a couple more things but I'm rushing to a non-internet work and won't be back for nine hours...

![]() |

Wait we can use diplomacy?
I'm sure we could easily talk ourselves into an audience with Her Majesty.
I'm really not sure we could get a desired outcome for our fellow agents, ourselves, and all the people in town that are being crushed under this rule, including probable future conquests?
Eurdan's going on a limb for us.
All the oread are staging a 'stand-in' demonstration for us.
Valsog's sabotaging gear for us.
Morak's in a world of pain if we don't pull this off by tomorrow, because his 'debt' will be due.
Our fellow agents are in unknown status at this time, but are supposedly alive as 'guests'.
We can't count 'freeing our agents' as 'Mission Accomplished'. We've encouraged a lot of folks here...
That being said, if we're confident with sneaking in, then we could theoretically subdue guard clumps as we ran into them, and try to find our fellow Pathfinders and liberate them, thus removing a 'lever' that Tygora could use against us...

Yes, talking your way in is an option. Other options include climbing + stealth and bluffing your way in.

![]() |

Are we all still here/is everyone okay?

![]() |

Yup.. just waiting on decision

![]() |

I am not sure what to do. Scaling the wall sounds more difficult to me, but Lars carries around more equipment than some of the others.
I think diplomacizing or bluffing to at least get the gates open is a better bet for us. I put max ranks in Diplomacy so I could try talking when the situation called for it.
Once we're in we can get down to fighting if need be, I would think.

![]() |

So if they say "Nah, we're not opening the gates for you" we say "Oh. Okay, we'll come back when you're not busy then." and walk around the wall, find a good spot, and clamber on over?
I'm on-board with this back-up plan.
Anybody mind if Rae pulls out the flag and hits a stirring baseline as we approach, to really get the pomp and circumstance rolling before our Diplomacy check?

Gayel Nord |

I realise we could have convince the notables to come with us... That we have been better oh well..

No, you did not loose me. I'm working for a bank and this "Brexit" referendum causes a lot of overhead. Further they split our company into to companies and there was a lot of preparation work to do...

So in other words, work is making you feel like how your avatar looks?

I have sent Belondia a PM, may try an email today. Looks like he has been absent all over the boards for a week and a half or so. =/
Need you guys to come to a consensus and either approach the gate or some area away from the gate before I can move forward with the reaction to your action. ^_~
I moved the blind so you can see more of the wall if you want to go sideways.

bluedove |

Keep in mind that talking your way past has both advantages and disadvantages. Avoiding a fight at the moment might mean a more difficult fight later...

Gayel Nord |

idea. We can talk about where the prisonniers are (up or down) abd then take the first occasion to flee. Diplomacy seem to not work.

Rae's suggestion.
Hit door 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, until we hit another door or get stopped by local guards (who don't seem real eager to talk to us) and go to a different door until we hit another door or get stopped by guards.
Right now we have 'free run' We didn't say WHEN we'd meet with Tygora, just that we were going to.
This way we can hopefully explore this level some before having to meet the Queen?
And it's not our fault the ifrit are being jerks and not talking to us, is it?

![]() |

Hey everyone. I need your help. I feel very regretful about using diplomacy with the front guard because of the option of spider climbing and being a little stupid of probably following a tyrant plan.
I said this because it causing me a reduce of interest because of the fear of not doing the "right thing" gamewise.

There are multiple roads to a happy ending. The good news is your party will be less depleted of spells and such without having to fight the elementals to get inside. If you do have to fight them on the way out, that could be problematic. But things will all depend upon how you complete the final encounter.
You may have back your spider climb spell, if it makes you feel better. Discussing a plan over PbP can be a little chaotic.

![]() |

I hope I didn't just hose the party...

![]() |

Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Popol, I hope like heck you have something full of awesome and win.
Also, Rae did make some mention of what Flame drakes can do in her attempt to distract Tygora...

Gayel Nord |

I propose we climb on the wall for protecting ourselves and we don't kill Tygora.
-Posted with Wayfinder

![]() |

She will kill the hostages on her turn, or attempt to.
Rae told everyone what the drakes can do twice now, and made mention of their potential weakness as he was casting haste...
He can only get *so much* words off in combat rounds, so good hunting.
Going to work...

bluedove |

Popol, where are you targeting your stinking cloud? Do you want to hit Tygora and the Ifrit or one of the Fire Drakes and the Ifrit?
Also, just out of curiousity, why do you think you should spare Tygora? And what is wrong with enervation? It only targets one enemy, how could that harm the oread? Remember that your mission was to rescue your missing Pathfinders.

Ok... I will take my time to explain. (This is my fault. I should have just erase the post.)
For the stinking cloud, i was thinking i could it all of them. I will tries to put the point of departure.
As for Killing Tygora. From Popol perspective... He don't like to kill.
But more. Tygora is the center of a wish. She seem to have being affected. We have been tell the majority accept the protection that Tygora gives. Also, contrary to popular stories, killing a Tyran alone don't work... What would happen to the ifrit? They will become friend with the oread? Love the pathfinder for kill their définition of what they are? What would probably happen, us that they will be more tyrannic to the oread and war-like. As for my choice of spell and change. First. I have no access to a computer and i use wayfinder. I have a attention deficit disorder so i miss detail. I had haven't read the oread. That change a lot of thing.
Pathfinder can be raised. Not the oread. (I have even a boon that i can use reducing the cost of raising. ) So protecting the oread is first priority.
The enervation even sucessful would have exposed the oread to the danger of the fireball..
Spell caster....
But In a way.... I should have stick tp the original idea. On a normal table, i would have not retract.. So now i am confused.

Ok, I think I understand. Totally your call, I just wondered if I had confused you with some of Tygora's speech. I have placed a ring in the size of the radius of the stinking cloud spell, so if you just place it where you want the spell to go, we can proceed. =)

![]() |

Thanks I am happy to know. I have been understand.
I could be a bad mistranslation of my part
But if look on my core and prd Stinking cloud have 20ft Radius. So the circle should have a diameter of 40ft.
Tonight I should redo my action It should be like my first plan but with a better writting. I want to aim fun. Not perfect tactical action.
-Posted with Wayfinder

bluedove |

Ah! You are correct, my mistake. In that case you can hit them all. I'll readjust the ring, or did you want to go with a different spell?

![]() |

Oh, wow, that's... pretty darn impressive! *applauds*

![]() |

Popol, if you put an acid pit by the strong ifrit (and the efreeti) that will really make their lives miserable, with the Stinking Cloud already down, I think?
I'm no tactical genius, but forcing Tygora to make dex checks while being next to the pit(in addition to snagging the ifrit) sounds like a no-brainer?
Anyone else have insight?

![]() |

The pit sounds good, especially as Tygora is intimidated and so has some penalties.

In addition to only being able to see 5' because of the cloud, yes.
