Dressed in the cleanest bit of armor, she could find having spent spit and polished on it till it gleamed....She writes and submits her answer in tidy dwarvish script with common indented in the margin for helpful translation.

Quick update - the PDF has arrived!

BTW I'm in New Zealand, so November the first starts slightly earlier for me! It is also worth noting that I'm travelling for a week in about the third week of November, so my posting rate may decline then.

This is a fun game, I just finished it as a player so it'll be interesting to experience it from the other side of the screen.

@Sehrli - Hopefully, you don't mind me talking liberties with your character. For all I know, she'd have walked away in disgust a long time ago, lol.

@Darius - Don't worry about Grigori's attitude. He'll lighten up towards Darius when busy adventuring. He just doesn't like when his chief interest in life is being thwarted. :)

@Aerondor: I was in a PFS event this weekend and played and played a coupled of games (The Devil We Know parts I and II), so I leveled up. I'm updating the character and will upload it in a day or two.

@Grigori: Worry not. Sehrli likes to play with fire ;-)

Well, its been November the first for about seven hours in my timzone, so starter post is now up!

Crap.. I apologize to everyone, but in my zeal to play in a ton of PbP games, I accidentally signed up for two tables of Slave Ships... I'm going to have to drop out of this one. You guys have fun, hopefully Taalaako will run into some of you again soon.

Faerin's diplomacy is not very high and bluffing is out of her ability to do so.

I can do aid another checks.

Sorry for the delay, I couldn't post yesterday.

I'm trained with knowledge(nobility), and I have a relatively good charisma, so I can aid with charisma-related skills.

I have +10 in Diplomacy.

I'm thinking I could start off politely asking Ms Milana if she wouldn't mind answering a few questions about the slave-girl. Complimenting her hair and eyes may not get us far Grigori would think to himself, judging by her stern demeanor... though if all else fails, that's his backup plan, lol. And if that fails, anyone with high Bluff can maybe think of a clever lie to convince her to answer a few questions?

I think if you have training in Knowledge(nobility), you can simply make the check and see what our esteemed GM reveals as Sehrli's pertinent knowledge.

Darius, yes, the savage gods of Paizo's boards do enjoy taking a good sacrificial post at least once per login, lol. I have made it a habit to select all and copy my posts before I ever hit Preview or Submit.

While normally knowledge-nobility is a 'knowledge' check and can just be tried, in this case it represents actually dealing with a noble family. I'd be happy to let someone trained in it use that as an aid-another on a diplomacy or bluff check though.

Ill start with an aid on diplo and can bluff if needed.

No worries. :) Though in fairness, the total was 13, not too terrible, albeit ineffective. I appreciate our gracious GM's second chance, as this is one thing that really bugs me about Pathfinder. Rolling checks like Diplomacy should be amended based on what and how the player says things.

...and I see I forgot to invest a rank in Sense Motive when I leveled, lol. Must remember for 3rd level...

Still don't know if I would fit Darius more with liberty's edgy or sovereign court. Think he could fit in both. What to chose what to chose.

Actually, the GM can apply a circumstantial bonus to most skill checks should she be so inclined. Or a penalty (bwahahaha).

My apologies for late replies. My life hit me hard on Sunday, and I didn't even look at a computer (other than work, where I have no access) until this morning. Everything should be good now.

Both of these would have given AOOs if the rogues had not been flatfooted by the sudden assault.

Actually, I believe Grigori and the rogue had Cover with respect to each other from the wall, so no AoO even if he wasn't flat-footed?

If Hanud is able he would have stepped up to where Grigori was standing for an attack, otherwise, he'll wait for the rogues to come to him.

I get the cover bonus to AC, but not where the lack of AOO comes from.

That is only around hard corners. Not with cover.

From the link I provided, and also in the Core Rulebook (p. 195):

"Cover and Attacks of Opportunity: You can't execute an attack of opportunity against an opponent with cover relative to you." (emphasis added)

No worries either way you wish to go with this. I just thought I'd share since you mentioned AoO's. I actually didn't know this either until relatively recently... after playing Pathfinder since its inception, I am still finding out about rules I didn't know about, lol.

GM Aerondor, by all means feel free to bot myself and (if I may speak for us all) anyone else at any time the game slows down. Imo it is certainly your right to do so.
