Amenopheus has learned that the legacy of the Jeweled Sages lies near the Osirian trade city of Eto, and the Pathfinder Society has pledged its support in the Sapphire Sage’s investigation of his ancient order; however the lead dried up—that was until a familiar information broker contacted Amenopheus offering an exchange of services. To assist an ally and unlock the secrets of Osirion’s past, the Society must deal with a deadly antagonist once more by sending the PCs to fulfill the bargain and collect its due. The only question is what price their foe will demand.

This game will be run as a part of the Second Official Pathfinder Society PbP Game Day. All games will begin on April 5th, 2014. For more information please visit: http://PbPGameday.com

Scarab Sages

Scratch that. Ignore my Mgrul. Take the orsirioni slayer Maherpa. Recently finished his confirmation.

Very good. More takers?

Grand Lodge

I can field a level 9 or a level 6..

An odd sight enters the Pathfinder lodge, bringing with it a breath of heat and the smell of sand and dust. Standing before you is a 6'1 efreeti, his eyes sunken and glowing red. About his neck is a collar, upon which is branded a single rune in Ignan. The efreeti exudes defeat and despair, his shoulders slumped, his head bowed.

"My master, Mareck Bolthune, **sigh** the Rejected, the Scorned, the Avenger of all Iniquities **small shake of the head**, Ambassador Percipient to Golarion from the City of Brass, humbly **eyeroll** offers his assistance in this historic endeavor. He declares his intention to seek out the storied wonders of the Jeweled Sages and accomplish the mission that the Great Amenopheus sets before this august group of adventurers."

Speak Ignan?:
The rune is the symbol for "Thrall"

Liberty's Edge

Following the efreeti in the door, timed with the outsider's introduction perfectly, is a man with fiery red hair, an engaging smile, and a confident stride. Well-dressed in a Keleshite (?) courtier's on-the-road outfit and cloak, he snaps his fingers imperiously at the efreeti.

"Begone, Dung-Faced Thrall! You have done your duty. Return to your abode until you are needed again!"

The man holds out a simple oil lamp towards the efreeti and shakes it once. The efreeti bows his head again, grimaces, and dissolves into smoke which quickly is sucked into the lamp's mouth.

"Hello, worthy and fellow Pathfinders. I am Mareck Bolthune and I would accompany you on this great mission. You will find me a willing and eager partner in this task, able to bring a few small sorceries to bear in our quest, should the need demand it. If the occasion warrants, I can also summon my thrall to our aid, though I hold him in little esteem and would not recommend speaking to him at length, as his intellect has fallen from a great height and made him an unsuitable conversation partner."

The man smiles a winning smile of perfectly aligned teeth and begins engaging the room in small talk, going from one man to another, learning their names and shaking their hands, suggesting to each with his humble and interested demeanor that he would be happy to adventure alongside each one them. With the women in the group he displays interest in each, bordering ever so subtly on the immodest, yet never venturing into unwanted advances or other rude behavior.

Initially, he deflects inquiries about himself with a soft wave of his hand and a modest grin, replying frequently "Oh, well, I am of no account, yet your tale sounds much more engaging. Tell me more..." But slowly, over time and several drinks, he reveals to one, then another, small bits and pieces of his own self.

Mareck Bolthune, or Mareq (pronounced with the Ignan hard, snapping k sound), is a native of the City of Brass, having eventually leaving for Golarion as an ambassador of the City's great vizier. He claims some small efreeti ancestry, thus accounting for his fiery red hair, which some would swear afterwards is actual fire (!). He is a diplomat by trade, but can fire a crossbow at need and bring forth useful magics occasionally. About his efreeti thrall he remains silent, gently and diplomatically changing the subject whenever asked.

Now THAT'S an entrance

This adventure is levels 1-5.

May I be so bold as to reserve a spot in this for a freshly created Osirion character? Thinking Magus at the moment, luckily I still have a month to come up with an introduction that can stand in the shadow of the great Mareck!

Nice, so we have:
Maherpa
Mareck
Magabeus

@Algar: if you have a lower level PC only, but would be nice to have you

I think Husarq is not allowed to receive credit, as he is the eidolon of Mareck

Hehe, that happens when you don't read carefully. One more, and we would be set.

Scarab Sages

I was referring to Mareck. Having a flunky - especially an effrit one do the intro is cool as balls.

Grand Lodge

I have a 5th level lion shaman interested. Currently stuck in another game but should be finished (or abandoned by GM) by the time of gameday.

@Fendahl: sure, but looks like APL1-2, so you would get out of tier gold, if this fine for you.

The Exchange

DM, how about my level one zen archer? Info is in profile.

Scarab Sages

"Greetings, effendi. If you have room in your group for an aspiring tomb-raider, I offer my services. I find myself at loose ends a the moment and am available to accompany you."

I have a 2nd level sorcerer/monk (ranged touch attack type) who can find and disarm traps and open locks. He may be 3rd or even 4th by the time we start. If you're full, please place me on the waitlist.

Shadow Lodge

I would love to come along for the ride, I will bring the level appropriate PC and one that fills a need. I have several, but don't want to pigeonhole myself as I have a con before the session actually starts. I would probably be playing my alchemist/investigator (Haven't finalized his build as he has not been played at level 2 yet).

With this we have:
Maherpa
Mareck
Magabeus
Senjin
Motas
alchemist/investigator by Heofthehills

So - 6 PCs, full table! Great.

Grand Lodge

Thanks PeteZero. I will withdraw since this looks to be low tier. Thanks for the offer. Looks like a good table!

Shadow Lodge

So by that count: 1 Zen Archer, 1 Summoner, 1 Sorc/Monk, 1 Slayer, My character, and that leaves us with one spot since Fendahl backed out. I may tweak to a healer type if we don't get one.

You forgot Magabeus with a potential Magus, if I see this right as well.

Shadow Lodge

True story! So I will tweak my character and see what kind of heals I can come up with before then. I do have quite a lot to run between now and then, so I will have a ton of GM boons to build with.

Scarab Sages

I have a Cleric 1, I would love to get in on this one. I can bring healing and and little off tankishness.

So I'm in. Great!

@Alemar: at the moment it looks full, but I will put you in as first resrve. IIRC you can have 7 people at a table, so if this okay for the gameday you would be in.

I am more inclined to go for a negative channeller at the moment then a magus, so the heals are covered if you provide me with the wands...

Asked if 7 players allowed. with the ambigious rulings I would say Alemar can play, but that is now a really full table ;).

Scarab Sages

If you can open the discussion thread it will show on our campaign threads once we post on it.

Scarab Sages

Meet Magabeus' magus, work will be done on profile to make it more readable. Equipment will be purchased also.

Shadow Lodge

Character is ready, I just need to do his alias, but I went investigator.
