Kyra Pregen Cleric |

Seeing the rider clinging to his life, Kyra debates whether to just end this birdman's life or save her comrades' life. With the blessing of Sarenrae, the decision to choose the latter prevailed.
"Guide me and protect them from their mortal wounds!"
Channel Positive Energy: 1d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + (6, 3) = 14
Now you can do whatever you want to the birdman aha!

Okay, I will move forward.
In a flurry of motion, Kwankhonu slashes out at the two warriors that hurt him, then bites the lioness back!

A little surprised at the bird's training, Maps jumps back from the strange mount, draws his double-pistol and unloads both barrels at it. Dropping his guisarme on its weapon cord again he rapidly reloads one barrel.
Shot 1: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 1 - 4 = 9 Damage 1: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Shot 2: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 1 - 4 = 24 Damage 2: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Shot 2 Critical Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 1 - 4 = 13
Critical Damage: 3d8 + 9 ⇒ (8, 7, 3) + 9 = 27

I doubt the mount survived that, so no cleave attack ;)
Wreck roars at the bandit leader
Wreck will kill birdman boss thing!
He swings his axe in a downward arc, aiming for the shoulder neck area
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (16) + 14 = 30
Damage Roll: 1d12 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
I'm sad, I'm the only one with no crit rolls in this game :(

Maps blasts a couple of shots at the axebeak as it snaps at him, catching it center mast. It falters slightly, as its lifeblood pumps out, with each pump of its heart.

Oh yeah, I missed that one! Ok so...
Wreck steps in to the swing, once again levering the handle of the greataxe against his shoulder to gain more momentum and cleaves the two remaining attackers atwain! The spray of blood covers you all as the mighty half-orc laughs heartily.
Combat over!

Any remaining tengus retreat or throw themselves on the villager’s mercy. Victory does not come free, of course; if any of you inquire, of the 50 men and women that aided in the fight, only 11 perished. These honored fallen are buried in the hills overlooking the home they gave their lives for; in spite of this, Nesting Swallow celebrates its victory. For the first time in years, the village looks forward to living free of banditry.
Je Tsun honors her bargain with you, isolating herself in her home with the Braid of a Hundred Masters for a day and a night. When she emerges with a smile, the braid is restored to its ancient potency. Even now, activated, the use of the relic is difficult to discern, but Pathfinders in the Lantern Lodge in Goka are undoubtedly eager to begin their work examining the powerful item.

Congratulations! You have successfully defended the village of Nesting Swallow!
I will complete reporting and your chronicle sheets when I get home after work today and will post them on the discussion page. Thank you all for playing! I have learned quite a bit from running this by PbP, and will hopefully get better the next time!
I hope you all had fun!

Thanks for running Aeshuura, this was a lot of fun. Maps has been a little bit of an experiment, but I feel like I got insight into him in this scenario. If you are planning on running something else, I would be interested.

Thanks guys! You were great sports! I made a big mistake in the first attack on the village. All of those 15 tengu were supposed to come in 3 waves! >.< But you guys handled them like champs! Because of my mistake, I ended up giving Fendahl a complete on his mission, which I also gave some rp leeway. The conditions were weird, he had to provide the killing blow on 4 enemies, but he really didn't have the chance. He probably would have had a better chance if I had run it in waves, because then you all would have had more chances on less enemies.
I will be running something in the future, but I need to wait for work to slow down a little, as school is starting soon.

I liked that they all came at once. Made it feel like a true battle. 3 waves of fewer enemies would have been too easy, and with the way Wreck was swinging that axe Fendahl would have been lucky to land a killing blow on even one enemy.

![]() |

Hah! Possibly!
EDIT: I also think that party composition was a big part as well. Having Wreck certainly made the big assault more exciting, and easier to handle!

![]() |

I'll check with you guys in a week or so, might consider running another scenario then.

![]() |

Well, it was great fun :)
Wreck had fun too. A very good battle. Im gonna go back and check his kill count. And thanks for the much needed backup. :D
Here in my grand total!
2 in first encounter
6 In Big battle
Then the last boss and his mount
9 Tengu
1 Mount
=^.^= Woot!

Thanks and sorry I was tied up on work out of town this week. Wreck lived up to his name. Very good game and group. And quick!
That is a weird faction mission for LL. - very difficult to kill 4 yourself ... Without being a wreck. Thanks for the leeway. I would not steal kills just for a PP so would not mind.
That will be the third part for Fendahl once. I finish running part two.

I got Maps' and Wreck's day job checks. If anyone else has Day Jobs to roll for, please do so as soon as possible.

trapper : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 day job...but only if easy to regen chronicle. I am fine without it.
