any thoughts? im pretty beat up but ac is still up. we could try to bluff?

![]() |

I think we should go in guns blazing last time we tried to bluff it didn't end well, plus if this is the boss it won't really be worth trying to bluff that she hired us since she knows who she hires. Diminian will be at the back of the party

Carerris quietly opens the door, wide enough that everyone can look through, prepared to slam it shut if enemies are on the other side.

Great, upright stones dominate this room, evenly spaced out to allow for easy passage between them. The stones have been perfectly carved to form bookshelves, each with six different shelves containing various books, notes, maps, and other crammed-in documents. A perpetual thick gray fog covers the floor of this room to a height of six inches, and most of the documents on the lowest shelves of the bookcases appear to have rotted away because of condensation from this fog, giving the room a pungent, musty aroma.
Spotting a Lemure on the other side of the door Carerris shuts the door.
We'll go ahead and roll for initiative, but feel free to discuss some strategy if you want.

Alright so I arranged you in the Vault.
Feel free to rearrange yourselves. The Lemure will come through the door to attack you. Like I said if you don't like were you are positioned, you can move yourself wherever, it doesn't cost you a move action.
Plus you can start posting actions as you all are ahead of it in init.
Let's roll!

As the Lemure comes through the door the party starts a brutal assault on the devilish creature. Braoin's acid misses the target darting into the room beyond and the guard dog misses with his bite.
Eskis' sword, Dresden's bolt, Carerris' arrow all connect with the target but the blows seem to be absorbed in the puss ridden mass.
Diminian and Kazbaz also land blows with Club and Mace and there attacks seem to damage the creature.
The Lemure ambles forward clawing at the dog.

Sorry for the delay, we were in Indy this weekend. What do say we kick it into gear and get this finished!
The dice roller is not your friend!
The Lemure proves to continue to be troublesome to take down, Carerris misfires with her bow. Dresden's bolt misses, as well as the injured dog's bite. Diminian swings and misses with the club.
However, Braoin is on target with his bolt, it lodges into the reeling flesh. Kazbaz also mashes it with his mace. Neither blow does much damage, but does some. Finally, thanks to flanking with Kazbaz, Eskis slices the creature as it focuses on the gnome, the tengu's blade drives deep leaving the devil in a heap.
As the Lemure drops you get a better look at Archive beyond, a tall, dark Cheliaxian woman, wearing deep purple robes, holds a wand in one hand, she cries out in a snotty tone.
Why have you intruded on my family's home!
She unleashes another magic missile from the wand at the dog.
mm damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
The force of the missile drops the dog unconscious with a yelp.
The mistress moves to the back of the room wand at the ready.

Alright, sorry we've ground to a halt. I know Jon has been traveling (Got to see him YA!). Will try to get us rolling to a conclusion to the meaningless conflict. :)
Eskis first to act rushes forward right up to the Celeena Deckland.
Next, Braoin dashes in and fires, catching his foe.

Firing her bow.

Braoin moves up next to Kazbaz in a very tactical manner. Upon reaching a good defensive position, he begins a rather dramatic light show in the northeast corner of the room. Prestidigitation! Everyone in the room is silently impressed.

The shelves in the room are 10 feet wide and twelve feet high, made of solid stone, and obviously weigh quite a bit. Pushing it over would be quite the test of strength. .
