I presume, since I was asleep, I have no armour/weapons, though I imagine my gun would be nearby. Would you say it'd be a full round action to get my weapon or would I be able to grab it and move out of the cabin this turn?

I'll let you grab the gun as a move action, meaning that you can take a second move action.
Mez Masterson
|
Still rubbing his bruised forehead, Mez grabs his rapier from its sheath under his pillow and takes a step towards the door. For a moment he thinks about grabbing his armor and taking some time to don it, but the sounds of Norines panicked whistling sends all thought of that out of his mind, ”Cayden, I pray that you’ll protect your devoted servant while he foolishly runs around in his smallclothes”
Move to grab Rapier, Standard to cast Shield of Faith. AC is 15

Ellie wasn't too worried about lacking her leather cape right now. She wasn't the one going up close and personal to whatever was attacking the ship, after all! Grabbing her bandolier of ammo and her musket with one fell swoop, the halfling dashes outside, leaving the menfolk behind.
"What's all this then?" She calls out with a frown.
Picking up my gear and moving to one square south of the rowboat. I took Fleet of Foot so my move speed is 30 ft.

I think I have everyone moved correctly on the map, though all of you should have edit capability.
Targost
|
Targost fires his light-arrow towards the group, attempting to strike the mast near them, thus giving light to his allies.
Attack-Ranged: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage: no damage...just trying to hit the mast.
Ebon Kai of the Skoan Quah

"Ware their blades! They squeezed some sort of bladder ooze onto their weapons!" Ebon yells to his companions, as he brandishes his sword over his right shoulder.
Standard action to ready an attack action if approached.
readied action attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Bit of Luck roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 6) + 4 = 12 just in case they are hostile. <.<....>.>...<.<...XD

Targost's arrow buries itself deeply in the mast, illuminating the area. The elves growl menacingly at the sudden light, but do not seem hampered. The two elves closest to Ebon and Norine hurl javelins at the pair, while the other two squeeze the bladders onto their tridents as well.
Javelin Attack vs. Ebon: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Javelin Damage vs. Ebon: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
Javelin Attack vs. Norine: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
The first javelin nicks Ebon on the shoulder as it flies past (4 points of damage), narrowly missing Ellie. The wound burns like a flame has been touched to his flesh. The other falls short and strikes the deck at Norine's feet.
Ebon, please make a Fortitude check.

"Smart thinking, spellslinger!" Ellie calls out with a grin as Targost's arrow lights up the ship. She moves up next to him and slips a paper-wrapped bullet down the muzzle of her musket, ready to fire at the next opportunity...
Move + load firearm. AC currently 16.

fort save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
" Arrggghh. Die Scalebrain."Shouts Ebon, spittle flying from his insane grin.
Stepping forward with a huge , raging slash.

Oh, sorry...I thought firing the light arrow was my turn...
Targost extends his hand towards the intruders and a viscous globe of acid shoots out to strike the creature.

I got lost, too. I meant to give Ebon another Bit of Luck - a third, but I guess I missed it.
Ebon, in his ferocity, leaps forward out of Norine's range but she scampers up after him and gives him another Bit of Desna's Luck. Seeing Mez and Dietrich in their bedclothes, "We are going to need a lot of luck, indeed, to get through this..."

Ebon's attack misses the agile elf, but Targost's is right on target. The elf yelps in pain as the acid dissolves a portion of flesh from his arm. Drawing his trident from a specialize harness, he stabs at Ebon, the tines biting deep.
Trident Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Trident Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Ebon takes 6 points of damage!
Behind him, his partner also draws a trident and moves forward to join the melee (but cannot attack this round). The remaining two elves toss javelins at Mez and Dietrich, respectively. The first goes into the rigging, but the second finds its mark!
Javelin Attack vs. Mez: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Javelin Attack vs. Dietrich: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Javelin Damage vs. Dietrich: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Dietrich takes 7 points of damage, and I need a Fortitude save, please.

Yes, the elves are on the upper deck (which should be giving them a +1 on attack rolls, but I forgot to add it).
Mez Masterson

Seeing the elves above him, Mez darts up the stairs past Ebon as he tries to duck under the tridents of the merfolk. Then, he lashes out with his rapier, hoping to divert some of their attention from the shoanti.
Acrobatics v CMD: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 231d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Very poorly. I'll wait for all the PCs to move before I update, but he isn't looking well. I am assuming that you hit the one in front of you, rather than the one in front of Ebon?

Grunting in pain as the tines pierce his flesh, Ebon lifts himself off the ground with his upward stroke at the sea-elf.
attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (8) + 6 = 14

Finally ready to participate, the halfling 'slinger takes a half-step forward, sighting the elf on the far side of the ship. Ready... aim... fire! The loud sound of gunpowder explosion cracks through the night like a whip, and Ellie grins wildly to herself in excitement. Then, out comes another paper-wrapped concoction, pushed down the muzzle of her gun before the smoke had fully cleared from her first shot.
5-foot step (I moved myself)
Attack (vs. Touch AC): 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 1 = 24
Damage: 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Also reloading.
This is vs. the one that's not in combat with anyone, the topmost one. I believe I'm within 30 feet and get PBS; remove -1 from hit and damage if not.
Norine Pepfarin Epfafeen

+9 to hit? Wow.
Edit: I just don't design characters well/often. Behold a cleric with a mighty sling!
Mez Masterson
|
Behold the power of a full BAB class with an 18+ in their to hit stat. At level 2 my Barbarian can hit at +10 with ease, +12 if he has room to move first.
Ellie Whitespring
|
Yeah... Ellie has: +4 to Dex, +1 from size, +2 from BAB, +1 from mwk weapon, +1 from Point Blank Shot. I actually built her originally as a crossbowman but got fed up with how many feats you need to make a crossbowman...not even equal to a normal archer, so really I could probably drop down to 16 Dex and spread my stats around some more, lol.
Of course, I lose -4 if anyone is in melee with my target, plus cover/range considerations :) And my reload time (currently) sucks!

Targost splashes another burst of acid on his target, striking the elf across the cheek. The elf howls in pain, but stands resolved.
In almost the same instant, Ellie's weapon discharges. Across the deck, the rearmost elf's leg explodes in a spray of blood and tissue. The elf screams in agony and grabs his leg.
Mez dances into melee, moving with such speed and grace that the elves are too surprised to do anything more than stare with jaws agape. His blade strikes home, catching the elf along the right side, cutting from waist to mid-hip. The elf grunts in pain, but manages a snarl at the warrior.
Dietrich moves up behind Ebon and Norine, as Norine taps Ebon with another bit of luck. Dietrich, the wound from the javelin burns, but the pain quickly fades.
Ebon, angered by the wound given him by the sea elf, swings his blade upwards, cutting the elf from groin to ribcage. The elf stares dumbfounded as his guts spill out onto the deck. His mouth moves wordlessly as he sinks to his knees, then falls face forward into his own gore.
Next to him, his companion screams, "Wea, cillw wamaccam!" as he stabs at Mez, but the warrior's savage attack has thrown him off-balance and he misses, stabbing only the cloth of Mez's nightclothes.
Trident Attack vs. Mez: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
The other two elves draw their tridents and ready themselves to attack, the wounded one holding his bleeding leg with one hand.
PCs are up.
Mez Masterson

After niftily parrying the mer-elfs trident, Mez again lashes out with his blade, hoping to fell his foe.

Taking advantage of the sea-elf's momentary lapse in concentration (unsurprising considering the nasty chunk taken out of his leg) and fires another round, aiming for its unprotected side. Much more methodical than you would give her credit for, in a flash her musket is reloaded and reaimed, ready to fire again.
5-foot step
Attack (vs. Touch AC): 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 1 = 26 vs. same one as before

" Thanks for the confidence little one, but I am about done..."
Ebon slumps a little as he comes out of his rage, but doesn't quit fighting. Jabbing his sword-tip at the Mer-Elf, he attempts to aid Mez in his melee.
Aid Another ( Mez) attack, DC10: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Bit of Luck roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
His efforts are clumsy but he manages to aid Mez in his next strike. +2 to hit Mez. XD. Didn't wanna steal your kill either.
took a 5' step to stand over dead?/prone sea-elf. Moved my token but it keeps going under elf token. shrug.
Norine Pepfarin Epfafeen
|
If they are not dead right away, as monsters often are, Norine is going to try to save them with a burst of positive energy, excluding the two still-active sea elves with her selective channeling.
"No-one has to die tonight!" Norine shouts, summoning positive energy from her well of faith and releasing it like a wave over the wounded.
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 6
Now I get the full healing! Hopefully I am not too successful. At least they will start off prone if I was...

Targost sends a magic missle screaming at one of the elves still standing, aiming for the uninjured one. The missile unerringly strikes home, burying itself deep in the elf's shoulder before fading into nothingness.
Ellie's gun barks again and this time, the elf whom she had previously wounded is hit in the chest. Blood and viscera explode out his back and he staggers a short distance before tumbling over the railing and into the water.
The sea-elf reels under Mez's blow, but finds his footing. Despite bleeding badly, he seems ready to continue the fight. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Dietrich moves in quickly to flank him. The elf lashes out with his trident but misses the agile rogue. Dietrich returns the favor, but his axe merely slides off the elf's hide armor.
Trident AoO vs. Dietrich: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Norine releases a burst of healing energy affecting friend and foe alike. The elf between Mez and Dietrich straightens as renewed energy fills his being. His companion, lying dead upon the deck with his innards spilled, does not move.
His wounds closing slightly, the surrounded elf slashes at Mez with his trident with renewed vigor, the tines cutting into the warrior's flesh.
Trident attack vs. Mez: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Trident damage vs. Mez: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
The remaining elf shouts out something in his native tongue, "Aey amecc tyila wailmca oem sa fmeaniramla, ameannyir!" He runs towards Ellie, leaping over the railing, savagely swinging his trident. The clumsiness of his attack causes him to miss the halfling by several feet.
Acrobatics check: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Trident attack vs. Ellie: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Dietrich roars and swings his axe diagonally upward, from his left knee to above his right shoulder.
Greataxe: 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
SNEAK ATTACK!: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Yeah, I love me some Order of the Stick. I really think PC's should need to shout out the name of whatever combat feat(s) they're using.
Mez Masterson
|
Wow, they have more than 14 HP each, sheesh! I'm going to assume Dietrich's additional 16 finishes it off.
Seeing Ellie engaged, Mez waits for her to step back and fire before he dashes over and slashes at the offending mer-elf.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 161d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Incase that wasn't clear, delaying until after Ellie goes, then rushing in to make the attack

Haven't read OotS in a long time, but I cracked up when they switched to 3.5 and the weapon sizes suddenly changed for small characters. XD.
