If the summoned card is defeated, banish it; this barrier is also defeated.
Koren, Defender of Innocents
Since everyone is coming to my location, I will point out that I have the power to discard the top card of my deck to add 1d6+1 to any check by another character at my location.
Hand: Paladin's Helm, BotG, BotG, Leather Armor
Deck: 9 Discard: 4 Buried: 0
Note: discard top card for 1d6+1, use the BotG to defeat barriers!
Vika, Bellicose Blacksmith

I'll explore and encounter Pirate Hunting!
On the horizon we spot a Shackles Pirate Ship
I can only attempt a Disable check and I'll need to use Koren's aid:
You are without doubt the worst pirate I've ever heard of.: 1d6 + 2 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 2 + (3) + 1 = 11
But you have heard of me.
I'll use my Master-At-Arms to explore and add Swashbuckling to my combat checks.

If undefeated, your ship is dealt 1 Structural damage. Leave this barrier face on the location deck; characters at this location encounter this barrier as their first exploration each turn.

Well that ends my turn then.
I draw up (a mace) and end my turn.
Hand: Greatclub, Warhammer, Longsword, Mace, Longsword
Deck: 6 Discard: 9 Buried: 0
Note: At Fringes of the Eye.
I can recharge Mace, Warhammer, or the Greatclub to add 1d6 to other's combat checks at the FotE.
Don't hesitate, I have 5 weapons.
Koren, Defender of Innocents
I use my other Blessing to get the Lookout (what the heck, let's clear out this location!)...
Charisma 6: 1d8 + 1d8 ⇒ (5) + (6) = 11
The Lookout joins us!
I recharge him to look at the top card of the location deck and then end my turn.

Fringes of the Eye
Barroom Brawl
Barrier B
Traits
Skirmish/Veteran
Check
Strength/Melee/Dexterity 9 (5 + 3 for location + 1 for adventure deck number)
Powers
Each character at this location encounters this barrier. Each character that does not defeat the barrier is dealt 2 Combat damage. If any character defeats this barrier, it is defeated.
Koren, Defender of Innocents
Note: This isn't a combat check, so you can't use your weapons. It's a bar fight! :)
I do have my ability so you can have an armour, you can have an armour, you can all have an armour!
Vika's 1d10+2 Melee plus 1d6+1 from my power should enable him to defeat the barrier. I have my Strength spell which gives a +3 for Strength, but we still have the Weapon to acquire and I thought I'd save that for the weapon (hoping that it is a Melee weapon and not a Ranged weapon). But I can cast it if we want to ensure success on the Brawl and take our chances with the Weapon.
I have my Paladin's Helm, so I won't take damage so I'll try to beat people up with no advantages.
Melee 9: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
I get hit on the head, but I reveal my Paladin's Helm and don't take any damage.
jduteau
I don't think you have the Blessing? You started with Gozreh, picked up the BotG and then used a Blessing to explore again to get the Barroom Brawl and then used another Blessing to explore to get the Boarding Axe.
Not that you needed it.
Plunder: 1d6 ⇒ 3
=Armor
I shuffled 4 random barriers and 2 random blessings together and the top card was another BotG.
We have finished another scenario! (Barring Vika and Ezren still fighting back in the tavern.)
You’ve found plenty of plunder for everyone in the brine dragon’s former lair. The former caretakers of these treasures were devoured, but you’ve found the booty they left behind, including a ship cast adrift. You’ll have to choose which vessel you’ll sail away on, and when you do, you better make sure you part on good terms with the mates you’ve left behind. Captain Redclaw’s pirates have been watching you closely. Whether they consider you allies or rivals remains to be seen.

Nature's Wrath
Vika, Bellicose Blacksmith
