Skarr is probably out in the water, within a few hundred feet of the old docks. He may be alone or with helper or employer, but he's diving for salvage.

When the sun is an hour or two until dark, he comes in and calls it a day. There is usually a communal meal at the flophouse consisting of fresh daily catch, and produce.with bread or rice if available. There are presently a handful of folks staying there.

After dinner, folks go off to do their thing.

Etiel finished her last job -- muscle on a merchant ship -- about a week ago. Since then she's been a steady feature at [some tavern, happy to have you pick it] just drinking, playing cards, and tossing coins to the local bard to sing to her of the adventures of the Pirate Queen.

As of today, her purse is getting a bit light and she's starting to itch for the next something.

NOTE, I'm at a lake house in the Catskills (NY state) for the next week. I expect to be around from time to time...but no guarantees of frequency. Please forgive any gaps.

His silk robes billowed out from his upper shoulders, allowing him to keep his under arms tucked in close, easier to blend in then stand out. Or as his matron used to say, the tallest reed gets yanked first.

One foot propped on the chair next to him, he surveyed the tavern. It was amusing how many deals started in such dens, but it was a deal he needed. With coin running low, he wasn't desperate, yet. But a new commission was sorely desired.

Reaching up, mug in hand, he hooked one finger over the scarf covering his nose and mouth as he took a sip of the mead. Pulling the scarf up before setting the mug back down, he waved the barmaid over. Whatever stew is in the pot, and a loaf of bread please.

Woefully Fat's intro could be something like a "fish out of water/welcome to life in the big city" sort of story. His entire life has been spent on the fringes of society, but he received a vision to come to Port Shaw, but for what, he doesn't know.

If that seems like a cop out on my part, I'll think of something for interesting, but I have to work a beer festival all day tomorrow, so I'll be MIA until Sunday afternoon. Sorry!

I totally missed the action in this thread!

Ruul is probably in one of Shaw’s brothel’s, drinking and whoring himself into a stupor. He’s been at it for a few days now, burning through his coin reserves, in an effort to stave off his own grim reality. Despite the fact that his coin is good and he’s not overly rough with the girls, they probably want him out because he’s driving away business. Even without trying, the big minotaur’s intimidating and a mood-killer (who wants a good time with their favorite whore when there’s a 800lbs bull rutting in the room next door?).

Awaiting the last character to post their story tie-in and we will begin! :)

At some point, Ruul would love to go home, beat down the rival that vanquished him, and take back his woman.

Any slaver-bashing and slave-liberation would be intriguing... especially as it relates to under developed cultures like crocmen, lizrdfolk, grippli, indigenous folk, etc...

Milah is on her way back to memorial she made just outside of Port Shaw, having just avenged her fallen kin. She stops at a stream nearby to wash all the blood that covers her fur.

Do I have time to rework and take arcanist instead of wizard for my second class? I just got the book yesterday. It looks like an interesting class that will mesh well as a support.

I don't think it'll matter for our RP intros.

Changed my mind, it was going to trade total spells per day for 'feats'. But the feats frequently required actions anyway. I'll just use the wizard spells for support purposes.

I read in the other Razor Coast's group that our GM's internet box was completely busted in a storm. Apparently she will be back when it's back up and running.

Well I'll give it a full month. If there's no word I'll see about getting GM permissions so I can close this thread out so folks can have some closure.

Apparently, there's only four internet boxes at the store RVT went to and she was 27th in line.

Sounds like this is a common occurrence, and also a rather smallish town..

A new box was shipped three days ago, so hopefully she'll return to us soon.

I've gotten thoroughly slammed at work over the past few weeks -- enough that I likely would've held back on applying if the recruitment were happening now instead of 5 weeks ago. I still am excited about Etiel and this campaign so I'm open to giving it a shot...but I'm nervous too.

RVT, if you want a firmer "I still know I'm up for this" I'll totally understand and bow out. If you're cool with my yes-qualified-by-busyness, then consider me in.
